TAZ Message Dump - Malaclypse 666 - 07-05-2007

Waverly to TAZ:

Right, then. Stormcrow animosity noted. Wonder what he has up his various sleeves. Let's gather and share some intel on this tosser, boys and globes.

On a happier note, I'd like to introduce and welcome one James "Jamie" Joyce to our ranks. Jamie will be flying the [~V~] as the "ErinLoch", a small transport which will be busily plying our favorite routes in the age-old effort to get larger.

Speaking of "larger", Jamie is rather new to the ways of Discordianism and Ontological Anarchy, so let's help him expand that ol' Pineal, shall we? He's already found his way to the drying shed. Just help the old Gold do its magick.

(Of course, being named after an ancient Discordian Saint should give him a leg up on the process, eh?)

There's been a few rumours about people messing about in Omega 49. There's talk of pirating and general disrespect for Zoner neutrality.
Keep your eyes open and let us know about any hostility in the area, so appropriate action can be taken.

Anyone interested in visiting Planet Gammu or Freeport 11 might want to install the new Nomad containment units for safe transportation of Nomad brains. If the Nomad remnants in the area start shooting at you, there's nothing wrong with making a profit out of their leftovers, is there?

Malaclypse to Kell:

Alan, can you send over a few of those new mobile units to install containment on the V-Mal and the Santa.y.? Both Dis and I like to "fish", shall we say..

I did notice that our Nomad licensing was up for renewal.. what's our share of the damages, neighbor?

On another note, I see that our new "Zoner" clan in the Sector has taken it upon themselves to become "cops"; sort of emulating our other "Zoners", the AW:

http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?sh...amp;st=10&#

Not sure what to make of the fact that they're hiring out to Corsairs.. and a Corsair trader at that..?

As the ancient Terran Chinese used to curse each other: "May you live in interesting times."

Keep it shiney out there, folk. None of this "gosa" for us, eh?

Mal

@Malaclypse
I'll have XM drop the containment units over. Spike thinks they're a bit cheap and nasty compared to the military grade ones he's used to. An armed guard would be useful in case of containment field breach.
You might want to persuade one of the Gammu robots to bring a light battle chassis along as protection when you're off fishing.

In regards to this new clan of Zoners, I see nothing wrong with them protecting Zoner or other assets with escorts as long as they're not flagrantly escorting smugglers through house space or other equally stupid actions. I would immediately deny any association with such actions and recommend to the Zoner Council that the offenders should be spaced. Can you imagine the political ramifications of escorting a Corsair Artifact smuggler through Omicron Alpha or Outcast Cardamine smuggler through Gamma?
Ugly.

Anyway, anyone supplying us or operating in our zone of influence should be eligible for our protection, in the interests of a safe environment for trade and profit. Please use some common sense though.
Declaring KoS based on a single hostile action might be a bit over the top and I would not expect us to use such measures. Use of more discreet measures will help to protect our perceived neutrality.

Hello, Mates,

Just a quick heads up on our Member list (updated)

I was pretty certain that our newer mate, "Mr. D", had a real moniker. He's confessed while in his cup that he's one "Riley Mackenzie". V-max updated.

Also, our newest member's ship name added to database, the [~V~]Shamballah. Hopefully, this bloke will be reporting in to share his "true name" as well. And Mr. K, how long are we going to keep up the "Anonymous" charade on your behalf?

Remember, Ontological Anarchy is not a ruddy sin! It's just a TAZd misunderstood.

Proud Eris keep on burnin',

Sir,

I have read your Sector-wide statement of purpose thoroughly. I find it to be within acceptable parameters.

I note with interest that you have placed our TAZ ships ( [~V~] transponders ) on your neutrality list. This seems reasonable to me. I would also urge that you and your organization use compassion and restraint towards other independent traders who squawk Zoner; especially within the confines of Omega 49, where we are sworn to protect our brethren.

I also note with interest that you claim to be allied with another Zoner Faction, the new RNF. This is a bit confusing; but I will take it at face value for now, until I have consulted the RNF Leadership to gain details. Any clarification of this seemingly "un-Zonerish" stance by RNF from your leadership would be welcome as well.

As you are aware, Zoners, and the TAZ in general, have a "marriage of convenience" with the Corsairs who inhabit Omega 49. We do however expect any and all Corsair Factions to exhibit the same restraint within Omega 49 as we expect of you. I believe you will find enough conflict with your sworn enemies elsewhere in Sirius without bringing the hostilities into our pristine skies.

Please contact our Central Council, or avail yourself of our stated Faction Status if you have any further questions or issues.

Regards,

Nomads were vaporised in Unknown system while we were visiting Planet Gammu.

Let us know if you need anything back in Omega 49. We seem to be picking up a bit of equipment in our journeys(most of it ending up in Alan's storage shuttle in New York).
Kate's already handled some weapons trading so we're more or less self sustaining with the sale of Nomad specimens as well. She says we might even be able to manage a profit if rogue battleships don't take to many potshots while we're passing through.
We collected some live samples from that lost Rheinland fleet for examination when they attacked us in Sigma 13. I reckon the labs on Gran Canaria should take a look at them. A bit of independent research could always be useful.
