Bounty notice question - Irra - 11-21-2009 Ehm ... after i saw in rules Bounty notice thing ... now i am well confused We cant place bounty in game? We cant collect bounty from someone who placed bounty on someone in game? I mean i fly with my Merc, Rogue puts bounty on Navy guy, i kill Navy guy and i get money from Rogue... we can't do this any more? All this in game without visiting forum or placing bounty there. Edit: I just figured out i put this in wrong section of forum, ah well. Bounty notice question - schlurbi - 11-21-2009 That was meant to fix the Bounty Hunter whoring. That they just dont fly around a kill everything they see. Saying that they have a Bounty on their head. Thats why I hate the Blanket Bounty. They can just do that. Bounty notice question - Dashiell - 11-21-2009 if you follow the rules very strict, I think you have to indeed post bounties to make em valid. however: if A hires B ingame to kill C it is fully ligit as soon A posts the bounty on C's head asap on the forums afterward. B can then respond there saying: 'I whacked him'. A formality more than anything, but it prevents 'you are bountied dai now pew pew' because it forces people to 'prove' they were hired. also, if A hires B to kill C, and C can 'hear' this (meaning: he reads A's message to B saying: 'whack C for me' people tend to find this acceptable. because it's dynamic and C knows that B is hired to go after him. Blanket bounties are to make sure that hunters/mercs/freelancers don't fly around for 3 hours looking for a target while holding a 45 page list with bountied players.
