i mean the way the starflea moves. up and down without rotating. also, ive always been fascinated with npc ships spinning around in battles. could this be done for the fighter class? at least light figters, they are supposed to be agile

there is already a thing on the Freelancer,

goto Controls in your options menu and look for

Strafe Up and Strafe down,

for the roll (barrel roll) search for Roll Left and Roll Right,

then set keys for them, and voila you can move upwards/downwards
and when in cockpit view you can roll left or right,

well it is there. i dont know about the speed it uses, is it like strafing sideways for all ships, or is it various?

the strafe speed is the same as the one you use for left and right,

note: strafe speed can be different on different ships,

it can, but only by the Dev team, (its a balance issue I think)

And the roll thing sucks at battles, too slow and you can change your direction when doing it
