To the honorable members of the Rheinland Government and Military,

I regret that I must come before you today under less than pleasant conditions. Today, a Rheinland Battleship, the Armageddon, invaded Bretonian space, and launched an unprovoked attack on Planet New London. Fortunately, the shielding over the city targeted held long enough to prevent the worst of the damage to the city, and casualties among the civilian populace were minimal.

This does not diminish the seriousness of this situation, however. The people demand an explanation as to why they came under attack from a vessel of the Rheinland Military. The captain of the Armageddon, one Captain Sylpheed (//Not the same Sylpheed as Del's LR character) made it quite clear over system comms that this attack was not an accident, but an intentional attack on the very heart of our Kingdom. I submit to you the following evidence:

The Armageddon's actions come as a surprise, in light of the past amicable relations between these two nations. Our patience, however, is not infinite, and we demand an explanation for this attack.

Guten Tag Mein herren.

Engels take a deep breath and starts to speak

If you do not know me, I am the newest Admiral of the Rheinland Military Forces. Admiral Malte has dissapeared and I have been put in her place. I am the youngest Admiral ever to embrace the Rheinland Military and I would like to ask you fur your understanding if I do seem naive.

It is in my shame and regret to hear the horrible news. I was actually in command on the RNC Emden when I heard of the attack....

Engels sighs

Before my vessel recieved the news we were informed that a Bretonian Fleet was amassing right outside our borders. I was confused yet curious and I ordered a fleet to our border system Stuttgart. You will not believe how close we were to war. If either of our fleets met then I fear we would have a war on our hands, and we could not fight on two fronts as our resources are very slim due to the war with Liberty.

However when I heard of the attack I was suprised, one of our own Battleships....

Engels looks down in regret

This information I am about to tell you is highly confidential, but since it does not matter anymore I will bring it out..

There was a 2 second pause.

This Battleship t-the RNC-Armageddon was under the jurisdiction of one of our reserve fleet until it went missing 3 months ago. We could not find it and we heard no word from its commander, Kapitan Syphleed I believe. I ordered an extensive search within our borders but he was never found. After 2 months of searching I called off the search as we believed this ship was destroyed with a battle with Liberty Forces deep within Bremen. It was not until I heard of the attack that I knew the Armageddon was still operational and still in one piece.

Now this leads me to only one conclusion, the Armageddon is taken over by Das Wilde. You should know who they are. If you were attacked by just the battleship and no other escorts it is highly possible that the ships was indeed infected, as Rheinland patrols always fly in groups. I can tell you know this is -not- our ship. We would never endager civilian life or would harm a house nation friendly to us. As we speak I have sent out Sturmtruppe vessels to search for this Armageddon within our borders. But if you destroyed the vessel it should not be a problem. But be aware we have rumors of "Ghost ships" appearing in the far reaches of space.

If this Armageddon ship is indeed alive we will take it out.

I am now putting this ship as Kill on Sight, and we will destroy it whenever we come across of it, and we will hunt it down, I assure you.

I do hope this terrible attack does not ruin our relations, this was not an act of war from our Nation, but an act of war from the Nomad-infected scum.

A man appears on the screen, and stares deeply toward the camera. Within a few seconds a faint shimmering appears in his eyes, shortly blossoming into a brilliant blue and purple glow. After being satisfied with the display of his identity, he begins to speak.

As much as we'd like to claim this warmonger, we just can't. He's not one of ours. If he were, he'd have known about those nice little shields you guys put up after the Phantom attack and waited another half hour until you had a very convenient maintenance problem on the New London generator that would have allowed him to do some actual damage. The answer to this is not with us, so I suggest you look elsewhere. Good day, sir.
