im reading a lot of complaints about bounties not working lately, and perhaps this is a very stupid idea, but my pc keeps crashing so i have the time to think of such nonsense.
i dont know how exactly do the iff tags work, but would it be possible to create another tag like this? one that would be empty by default and a simple B(or something else), if activated. you know, like to mark players with bounties on their heads. that way, the BHG can be sure about whether they can engage him/her.
also i guess we would need SOMEONE RESPONSIBLE for assigning and removing these tags once the bounties have been fulfilled. since it is of most interest of bounty hunters to have them, the leader of the official faction could recommend a person responsible for this kind of thing. the person will be checking the forums and assigning/removing tags after the bounties have been fulfilled.
if there was a system like this, bounties would probably be more efficient and people would tend to use them more. thus more bounty hunters/vigilantes/freelancers to hunt criminals, and less pirates.
doable in 4.86 or am i naive?

It's not a bad idea, but bounties also encourage people to use the forums. Single-target bounties are often hard to find and yes, they can be difficult to claim. However, Blanket Bounties for now are quite useful and do attract attention.

It's a good idea but having someone scan the forums and mark a person for a bounty could prove to time consuming and then that person would miss out on their game time (if it's an admin they will miss yet more). We need someone who would be willing to do this who is well known on these forums. I'd be willing to do this but not very many people know me.

i didnt mean someone from the admins. they already have enough on their heads. i meant a NON-ADMIN person that would check the bonty board every few hours and just add/remove the tag to/from corresponding people.
