Background Information: Born poor, raised poor, and stayed poor all his life. Simon Fleischer is a hard working man. He was mainly raised by her mother - Lena Kappel - because his father was very often far from home. Her mother was a brave, ressourceful woman. Poor, but optimist; always saying the best is coming soon and that everything gonna be fine. However, she lost her faith when she heard the fate of her husband - Hans Zimmerman - when the copper miner where he was working in Dresden was destroyed because of a Red Hessian's attack near Lepzig station. His father was working the best he could to help his family, far from home, he was sending to his wife all the money he could. But, fate happens, he died and was never able to obtain "the best that was supposed to come soon." Lena Kappel became a widow, but not for long: she died shortly after from a heart attack the next year after her husband -Hans Zimmerman- death. The doctor said she had a heart weakness since she was young and her death was even supposed to happen way before than she actually died.

Simon Fleischer became an orphan along with his brother at the age of 12. He moved with his younger brother Uwe at the closest slum in New Berlin. The Fleischer brother found their first job few days after they moved. Simon, 12 and Uwe, 10, lauched themselves in the shoes waxing business. They were both installed in the New Berlin Downtown waiting for rich businessman to come to them for shoes cleaning. With the combined salary of the Fleischer brothers, they were barely able to survive for 3 years.

At the age of 15 everything changed. Simon, being the eldest, was much more developped than his brother. A merchant, while getting his shoes waxed, observed Simon closely. Seeing he was almost 5'5", strong for his age and having pity over him, the merchant asked him if he would want to join him, as a Koopman helpen - merchant helper-. Salary would be increased, possibily to discover the world and opportunity to learn space travelling. Thought wanting Simon, Uwe was not even close to his brother physical. He could not employ both brothers. That where they got separated. The elder of the Fleischer brother joined Hubert Fink, the merchant.

In the first year, Simon was still able to contact Uwe and send him little money to help him. However, one day, at the age of 18, Hubert Fink had business to do at New Berlin, while being offduty, Simon tried to find Uwe as they were supposed to meet near the "Goedemorgen Breakfast". Simon never found a Uwe and the Fleischer brothers were never seen again together from this moment. He tried many time in the next weeks to find his brother. Several years after, the only thing he heard about Uwe were rumors he left New Berlin to join Red Hessians. Simon actually never believed this information. After all, it's only rumors.

Hubert Fink had a daughter and a son, he had met both at the age of 14. Binding with the daughter who was 13, he never did the same with his employer's son who was 17. Actually, there was some kind of hating between both. Boy became a teen, who became a man and at the age of 19, he found himself having a relationship with the merchant's daughter. From this moment, his brother disliked even more Simon Fleischer.

At the age of 20, Simon had learned almost everything about space travelling. Growing older, Hubert Fink,
the merchant, became ill at the age of 59. Though having some major health problem, he always hid it to everyone, continuing space trading through Rheinland. But, he gave more responsability to Simon Fleischer and his son. Simon took care of the logistic and spaceship maintenance side while Hubert Fink's son took care of bargain and trade route. While gaining more responsabilities, and supposed to be partner, there was still a huge rivalry between both mens. Though this rivalry and dislike of each others never explosed because of the old man presence who knew how to calm down things between the 2 young guys.

At the age of 22, everything seemed to go well, he had some economy, and finally married Hubert Fink's daughter. He moved with her in some appartement in New Berlin with her and everything seemed to go well for Simon's life. It appeared that finally "the best is coming soon and that everything gonna be fine", his mother's words was happening. But everything changed in few months laters. Hubert Fink had to retire because of health problem and he actually died shortly after. Fleischer mourned the death of his "second" father but Fink's son saw this more like an opportunity for him. Sure he was sad about the death of his father, he had some kind of heart, but the trading company of his father became the son's property. The first thing he did: fired Simon Fleischer out of the trading company. He also bought a new bigger and larger ship while changing it's name. It became the "ZyprexaZydis", some kind of weirdo name.

Jobless for months, running down economy he made all his life, he finally found a job at "The Ring". at 23 years old, he had to start all over again. Salary dropped, hours increased, job was tougher. Fleischer and his wife were obligated to move near a slum. The slum Simon lived in his teenage years. Somehow, he managed to send enough money that his wife could pay the rent and get some food to live.

At the age of 24, he lost his job at "The Ring" and yet again, he need to start his life all over again...

Basic Personality Traits: Simon Fleischer is loyal and hard worker, got an ironic/sarcastic sense of humor, average pilot but fast learner, somehow diplomatic.
