Three people, two men and a woman, step into the camera’s line of sight. They appear to be at some sort of job conference. The man in the middle, a person of average height, blonde hair and darker eyes, steps forward.
Greeting from the Zoner Ore Extraction Inc., my name is Claroke Goldenton and I am the Chief Public Relations Officer of the ZoE. On the behalf of my colleges I’d like to welcome you here today to learn more about us. We are the Zoner Ore Extraction Incorporated or ZoE for short. We are a Zoner based mining company that deals in bulk orders of various ores and minerals. We seek to spread our operation throughout Sirius seeking out sites to mine the precious resources that are located within the Sirius sector. To do this we need help, your help. By joining Zoner Ore Extraction Inc. you can assist in our quest to provide a stable influx of necessary materials to the various manufacturing companies of Sirius.
My colleagues and I used to own three separate smaller companies. The man gestures to the other male in the trio on his left. Chester Copperton, our Chief Accounting Officer, moved away from his home in Bretonia and set up a Generic Hardware store in New Berlin. The man then gestures to the woman on his right. Lori Silversmith, our Chief Administrations Officer, was born in Bretonia as well and moved to Edinburgh to set up a luxury goods store on the Shetland. I myself owned a Luxury goods manufacturer on Planet Manhatten. We each were affected as Prices went up for the various things we made. I was affected by the rising prices of Gold and Silver ore, which cut my profits considerably. Chester was affected by the rising prices of what he sold, which can be traced back to the manufacturers compensating for the rising ore prices. Lori was affected similarly to myself, just one step later. We each struggled on through the ever-rising prices, and we all still managed to make a profit. After around one year it became evident that the market for ore was the ticket to wealth in the current economy. We three had met before at various meetings and conferences and we kept in contact if for no other reason than seeing how each others’ businesses were coming along. So, after much deliberation and calculation, we came together and formed a mining corporation. This was the most profitable decision in each of our careers. According to my calculations, we figured that we were making more profit in our ore company than all three of our other companies put together were. That was before the taxes started cutting this profit down bit by bit. The tension between the houses was beginning to rise and so each of our governments were giving us trouble due to our inter-house relations. I had Liberty Security Force agents confront me and ask why I was dealing with Rheinland so much. Similarly Chester had Rheinland officials asking him questions about the volume of messages heading into Liberty and Bretonia. Lori was having trouble because of our dealings with Kusari Contractors. So after much more deliberation and calculation we each decided to sell our other companies, strip ourselves of our house relations, and join the group known as “The Zoners.” Once we did this our profits skyrocketed.
Now we are seeking to expand this company outward. We wish to take in more miners and transports so that our operation can push outward to all corners of Sirius space. We have seen the need for a stable influx of ore firsthand and wish to solve the growing problem by providing a stable source of raw materials at a reasonable, standard price for all Sirius houses.
Whether you are a pilot seeking to make his way in the world and find fortune for himself, or if you are a representative for a major corporation, you can help us. Pilots that choose to join us in our endeavor receive a steady source of income, protection from pirates, and if requested, some assistance in getting on your feet. If you represent a corporation that seems to be having profits cut by increasingly expensive raw material prices, consider contracting us to mine and gather bulk orders of whatever materials you require for a standard price per unit. Whether you’re a Rheinland Manufacturer or a Bretonian Business, you’ll receive the same offers and treatment as any other corporation. To us you are the customer and that entitles you to the best treatment we can offer.
On that note, if you are an enterprising pirate who believes that he has stumbled upon a nice juicy target, please locate the attached file labeled “Information for those of Questionable Legality.” It is lightly encrypted and I have no doubt that you will be able to crack the coding considering that you were able to access this message. I am certain that you will find its contents interesting.

However the primary one being that we three realized that she was incapable of handling such a large corporation. We all agreed that it would be in the best interests of the ZoE that she step down and allow someone more capable to fill in for her. It is.... most unfortunate.
However, the show must go on... or in this case, the Company. Chester and I agreed that Eric Goldsteen should take over the position of Administrator.

Section 2 – Ship Types
2.1 – Miners
While most of our Mining Vessels are automated and need little human direction, there are a few people who choose to mine the ore as opposed to transport it.
2.1.1 - Drones (Automated Robot Miners):
KS-1093 "Mafic" Civilian Super Heavy Miner
Drones can be used by remote or by program. They are most often used to mine mass amounts of ore with mechanical precision. They are the preferred mining medium of the ZoE because of their mechanical precision, minimal upkeep costs, and lack of aesthetic needs. They also do not need to be cut into the equation when dividing profits.
All ZoE Drones will have call signs in the following manner: “|ZoE|Drone-z00xxx” where “xxx” is replaced by a 3 digit number unique to that drone.
2.1.2 – Manned Ships:
KS-1093 "Mafic" Civilian Super Heavy Miner
E78-12 "Spatial" Civilian Deep Space Explorer
DU5-7Y "Hegemon" Civilian Mining Ship
Manned ships are used by members of the ZoE who want to see how things are doing on the Mining Side of things. While arguably not as productive as the Drones, they still make up a large portion of the ZoE. They can also be used to manually explore and prospect in the farther reaches of Sirius space.
All manned mining ships will have call signs reflecting either the ship's name ("|ZoE|Ship.Name") or the pilot's name ("|ZoE|Pilot.Name").
2.2 – Transports and Storage:
2.2.1 – Transports:
Series "DL" Border Worlds Transport
CT-53 "Heron" Civilian Train
CT-49X "Gull" Civilian Transport
Firefly Transport
For continuity sake we request all transport personnel to fly the Border World Transport for its excellent design, high durability, spacious cargo hold, and relatively high maneuverability. Unlike out Mining Ships, that only need to traverse a Field of Asteroids once, the transport division must constantly move through dense asteroid fields. For this reason, the Border World Transport seemed the best choice. However, this is only a highly recommended suggestion. Our pilots can fly whatever they wish from the list above. Transport ships are used to transport the ore mined to their destination.
All transport ships have call signs that reflect either the ship's name ("|ZoE|Ship.Name") or the pilot's name ("|ZoE|Pilot.Name") although the former is preferred.
2.2.2 – Storage Vessels:
Zoner Borderworld Transport "ZBT-100Z 2" – AKA: Zoner “Whale”
The Storage Vessels are ships that gather bulk amounts of ore either to transfer to the smaller ships for transport or to fill bulk orders from corporations. Because of the Whale’s large cargo hold, we feel it perfect for use as a Storage vessel.
All ZoE storage vessels will have call signs in the following manner: “|ZoE|Depot-z00xxx” where “xxx” is replaced by a 3 digit number unique to that vessel.
2.3 – Security
2.3.1 – Fighter Escorts
CTE-6000 "Eagle" Civilian Very Heavy Fighter
CTE-19000 "Roc" Civilian Bomber
SV-17 "Virage" Civilian Very Heavy Fighter
CTE-HF "Kingfisher" Civilian Heavy Fighter
CTE-3000 "Falcon" Civilian Heavy Fighter
While we at the ZoE have other ways of ensuring safety for our transports, we acknowledge that it would be folly to not have any escort pilots available. We strongly encourage our escort pilots to choose either the Eagle Fighter, Virage Fighter, or the Roc Bomber but they may choose any of the ships on that list. These ships may be used freely and we encourage them because of their neutral status and widespread use. However, should an escort pilot show particular interest in another ship not on the list, we may very well allow him to use it, we simply ask that he put in a formal request.
All fighter escort ships have call signs that reflect the pilot's name ("|ZoE|Pilot.Name").
2.3.2 – Gunboat and Capital Ships
"Conference" Zoner Gunboat
"Corvo" Zoner Deep Space Explorer
"Fearless" Zoner Destroyer
"Aquilon" Zoner Carrier
"Jinkusu" Zoner Juggernaut
Capital Ships (Above Gunboat Class ships) are only to be used under special circumstances for specific reasons and only by members in high positions of the ZoE.
Gunboats are to be used to escort larger sized convoys on occasion. Gunboats should only be commanded by security officers that have proved themselves to be responsible enough to handle one.
The Corvo Cruisers are to be satellite offices that branch out from the main office and will NOT open fire on ANYONE unless attacked. Usually there is a Corvo around a particularly large ZoE Mining Operation. Though not usually too close to the action, as offices they tend to be located in places with good views a ways away from the actual mining. The Corvo Cruisers will NOT open fire on ANY ship unless it is being directly attacked by that ship or a ZoE Employee is under attack and is unable to dock on the ship. Most often it will simply call for help or flee from the battle scene. replacing three BorderWorld Transports would be cheaper than replacing one Corvo Cruiser and thus are more expendable. Corvo Cruisers are to be used by the Leaders of the ZoE.
The Fearless would provide security at meetings of high importance, it would escort extra large convoys and provide defense of the home and satellite offices. They will NOT open fire on ANY ship unless the ships it is escorting are being attacked by that ship. Fearless class ships are only to be used by the leader of the security division.
The Aquilon Carrier is to be used only by the head of Security. It will be the pride of the Security Arm and will be handled with great care. It will serve as a mobile Security Base from which the Security arm can launch it's escort fighters and keep an eye on Mining Operations. Normally the Aquilon will be Cloaked close by to the largest mining operations of the ZoE. Ready to uncloak at the first sign of trouble. Needless to say this action itself is enough to make most troublemakers flee in terror. It will NOT open fire on ANY ship unless the ships it is keeping track of are being attacked by that ship. The Aquilion Carrier is only to be used by the leader of the security division. The Current Aquilion Carrier is named The Beaconsfield and is currently operational as the Base of Operations for the Security Arm.
A Jinkusu class Juggernaut is only to be used as a Home Office of the ZoE. The ZoE will only own one Jinkusu class ship and it will be commanded by Claroke Goldenton, Chester Copperton, or <strike>Lori Silversmith</strike> Eric Goldsteen depending on which one is available; if none of those people are available, the captain of the ship will be in command of her. It will not be armed in any way and will move only under the direst of circumstances. It will serve to be a meeting point for ZoE ships and a place where potential customers can come and learn more about us. The Current Jinkusu is named The Klondike and is currently operational as a Home Office.
All ZoE Capital Ships have call signs that reflect the ship's name ("|ZoE|Ship.Name").
3 – Other Equipment:

Other Commonly Available Weapons on Zoner and Civilian Bases.
Mining Ships should use Mining Turrets to mine. Drones should have a combination of “Fighter Mining Turrets” and Eco Chain Guns for improved mining efficiency. Pilots of Fighter and Bomber classes may use any loadout they wish within the lines described above. Transport Ships should stick to Transport Turrets type 1-4. Capital ships and Gunboats will be outfitted according to the needs of each one.
3.2 Miscellaneous Equipment
We recommend each pilot to outfit his craft with the best of the best equipment he can. We also encourage them to tailor their ships to their own needs, therefore our only suggestions in this area is to buy the best you can.

Greetings and Salutations to you, the Pirates and so-called “Unlawfuls” of Sirius. So, you were interested enough to break through the encryption on this file. No doubt after listening to the message at the beginning your mouths were watering at the thoughts of catching and pirating one of the ZoE's transports. You now are probably wondering why I have directed you to this message. Well then pay attention, and pay attention closely.
Here at ZoE we recognize that Piracy is a very real thing and a very real thing that cuts down profits. Now, while we do employ Escort pilots as protection, we prefer to resolve matters in a businessman like way. Allow me to demonstrate.
You stumble across a trader and ask him for credits. He pays you and then leaves. You got your credits, he kept his ship and cargo. You’re both “happy.” What would you say to a deal that involved more than credits? How would you like an information exchange as well? This is what we at ZoE aim to accomplish. If you stop one of our transports, we’ll offer you one million Sirius standard credits once a day as well as information on the locations of any lawfuls we pass by. So, the first time you stop one of us, you get 1 million credits, and then so long as you continue pirating for the day, we’ll feed information we come across to you. If you stop us a second time, you let us go on through. We won’t call the police on you as most traders would, instead we’ll tell you where the police are.

Named after the Ancient Earth event commonly referred to as the “Klondike Gold Rush” that discovered several hundred tons of gold in north western Canada. The ZoE Klondike acts as the Zoner Ore Extraction’s home office. The ship has been modified to act not as a warship or long range colony vessel, but rather as an office building. Offices and data storage compartments can be found toward the front of the ship while maintenance and upkeep facilities can be found toward the rear of the ship. The Klondike acts as a docking port for many of the ZoE’s Mining Drones as well as a meeting place for official meetings with other corporations. Its three Biodomes keep it self-sufficient in terms of oxygen and food. They also provide an excellent place for stressed employees and personnel to relax.
While primarily an office ship the Klondike is by no means defenseless… Currently the Klondike is stationed in Baffin and thus under the protection of the TAZ imposed system wide No Fire Zone. However, should the need arise its complement of 16 Battleship Turrets and first class Battleship Shielding systems can keep it alive long enough for help to arrive.

Alright. If you've not figured it out this is a totally In RP Faction Intro as if it were a message posted on the Neural Net. The Leaders of ZoE are Myself, Claroke Goldenton, JWCorsair, Chester Copperton, and Jack Crews, Lori Silversmith.
Essentially this is the first draft of a Zoner Based Mining Corporation faction proposal. Feedback is what we'd like to obtain from you, the community. Suggestions, critiques, etc... All welcome.

I'm not sure I agree with the KS series being exclusively automated... especially given that the Mafic explicitly mentions a crew on the infocard. Oh well, your choice.
Considering that the Virage is built by Zoners, I think it should be on your list of escort fighters.

Official Policy now is that we are not going to enforce the NFZs anywhere. So unless we are attacked we won't fight. And then only in self defense.

And I don't know about the rest of the Zoners But I speak for the ZoE in saying that we will not and do not attack unless in self defense. I do not know about before any members joined the ZoE but once they do, they are susceptible to company policy.
And I have yet to see sufficient proof to back an all out assault on an organization that supplies bases owned by you with supplies, grants you protection within their space, etc... But That's your problem. I know that the ZoE has not caused significant damage to your ships... We certainly haven't attacked your bases. Who would we contact about putting a stop to the attacks on our ships?
