I think we players on the discovery server lose more and more freedom.
Should it not be that people can choose what to fly, as it is still ''just a game''.
Maby some ships are speciall and one of a kind, but then dont sell em, have em
handed out from some far off admin base.

I have played the game soon 6 years, the discovery mod
soon 3 years and been on the forum soon 2 years. Why always
more more and more restrictions? Heck, should have 2 servers,
one with more hardcore rp rules and very few caps. And one
like this but with fewer rules/restriction. That way all can play
depending on our mood, on the server that suits best.

(Lets face it, the npcs are the normal ships out there while our chars are hero like.
Of course we should fly great ships of war, and even if a char is in a fighter he is
often worth more than 50 npcs anyway. And to be honest our different stories are
far from dull and grey as one might imagine an ordinary npc pilot storiy to be. So
why shall we have so many rules and restriction, when one should see that the
200 heroes flying at once in a whole universe of ordinary ships should be given
more freedom not less!)

Replace "players" with "people". Replace "on the Discovery server" with "in the United Kingdom". I am not joking.

This is a role-play server mate. These rules are being made because they improve the role-play of the server. And some of these rules improve things for us role-players whilst making things worse for the lolwuts.

As Shakespeare put it: "Fair is foul, and foul is fair." That is life.

P.S. My 2,001 post. Time for a custom title.

Role playing!! You know what this means dont you...

if you dont like the rules, there a few other pvp servers aroundl, suit yourself.

I just ment that all this restrictions and rules so far have not really gotten rid of the ''lolwutter''
in capship problem (or in any ship for that matter). Sometimes the carrot works better than the whip.

Restrictions are necessary in some case, if we were playing D&D around a table, you wouldn't expect to be able to use monk special abilities as a fighter, in the same way I wouldn't expect everyone and their mum to be able to use whatever they want here. You pick your character class (Rogue, Navy, Pirate, Corsair etc...) and you play within the options given to you. Most of which were agreed by consensus from the community.
