Seriously, Tom Waits is a poet with some of his lyrics and always manages to produce an all-around good song. Some of them touch you on an emotional level, too.

Some are, hm, paranoid? I know.
Also, I am not able to listen all songs of him. Sometimes I skip some of his songs. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
All in all, 5/6 of his work is awesome. The rest is awesome too, but I fail in loving it.
Seriously, nearly all real "superstars" are paranoid or out-of-common-sense otherwise. Maybe its neccessary to be crazy, for doing a big work.
