Profile of the GRN Dreamcatcher - Caelum - 12-21-2009

Summary

Ship designation: "Dreamcatcher."
Ship class: "Perilous" Gallic Royal Navy Gunboat
Ship affiliation: Gallic Royal Navy
Current captain: Javier Dupont
Current number of crewmembers: 120
Current number of officers: 9
Current missions: To uphold the law, the will of the crown, and defend us from terrorists, rogues and the various new factions that have recently appeared in Gallia.
Competency Assessment: An unremarkable gunboat, showing promise, but lacking in experience. The captain does not appear to be a very good commander, we may have to reassess his position. The first officer, on the other hand, shows remarkable promise and command skills.
All in all, a rather average gunboat that needs further combat experience to be of more use. Suggest deploying near the front lines.

Officer Profiles

Captain: Javier Dupont

Javier Dupont is an intelligent, literate man, who had a job with Ile-de-France Shipping years ago, before joining the Gallic Royal Navy to get out of debt. He is not very talkative, and has an unconfirmed reputation of being bribe-able, particularly with money, good food, and good wine.
Although intelligent, the man turned out to be a disappointment upon being given the command of his own vessel. His judgement is sound, but he is incapable of motivating his crew, and is distant to them at best.
The man has one daughter, 25 years old, is divorced, and is in his mid fourties.

First officer: Martin Ayron

Martin Ayron is one of the younger officers aboard the Dreamcatcher, and a rising star. His career is proceeding quickly, and he has proven to be a charismatic leader. Unfortunately, he lacks the experience necessary to command a vessel, and can be a hotspur.
He is, however, known to be the highest commanding officer who actually has close ties to the crew, and is respected almost as much as the captain.
He is in his early twenties. There are rumours that he has an affair with a crew member, but the validity of those rumours is unknown.

Second officer: Jake Chevalier

Jake Chevalier is a man in his late twenties, known for being an enthusiastic athlete. He has shown to be a capable commander, but he appears to lack the motivation to do more work than what is absolutely necessary. What he does, however, he does well.
Currently, Jake Chevalier is second officer, which makes him commander during the night shift. Most of the day, he spends sleeping, due to this position.

Third officer: Alain Chateau

Alain Chateau is the second officer onboard in his early twenties, and known as a former college friend of Jake Chevalier. He has been arrested on multiple occasions for robbery and petty theft, and is currently being monitored for Council or Maquis sympathies.
He was promoted by orders of Jake Chevalier, and serves as Chevalier's first officer during the night shift.
Aside from a problem with authority and a love for chess, little is known about him.

Helm: Renee De L'Arbre

Renee De L'Arbre is, despite her appearance, a woman in her early thirties. She is the helm; steering the ship. She is known to be vain, even arrogant, but at the same time envied for her looks and piloting skills. She is currently married to a wealthy GMS pilot.

Tactical officer: Jacques Duboiss

Jacques Duboiss is one of the older officers aboard the Dreamcatcher, being in his late fifties. He is known to perform admirably in combat, and has many years of experience fighting various skirmishes and wars.
Pastimes include reading and chess, which has resulted in sometimes uncomfortable, but mostly friendly competition with Alain Chateau, as both consider themselves the best chess player of the two.
Jacques Duboiss is single, and has no known alive relatives.

Analytics and science: Aaron Leal

Aaron Leal is the analytics - and chief science officer aboard the Dreamcatcher. It is his duty to monitor the sensors and organise anything of a scientific nature.
The man, who is in his early thirties, quickly built up a reputation as a "nerd", and is known as "the guy with the weird glasses". He is regularly teased, and sometimes even bullied, by some crewmembers. He also has the highest IQ on the ship, and claims he couldn't care less what they think of him.
He is currently divorced.

Security: Karl Lothair

Karl Lothair is the chief security officer aboard the Dreamcatcher, responsible for the guarding of prisoners, boarding themes, upholding of ship discipline and regulations, and combat drills. He is known for what has been described by Renee De L'Arbre as "a cute smile", as well as tactical insight and being a good marksman.
He is in his late twenties.

Engineering: Scott Argent

Scott Argent is the chief engineer aboard the Dreamcatcher, and another veteran. He is in his early sixties, and coordinates the engineering section.
Little is known about him, aside from having been a commendable engineer for the Gallic Royal Navy for decades and having lost his wife as the result of a terminal illness.
