BIOGRAPHY: Vadim was born in the back of an armored transport to a Junker father and a mother who was a refugee from Coalition space. He grew up in space, mainly in the many Junker bases scattered around Sirius, making planetside trips with his parents often. His fourteenth birthday present was a refit Starflier with two Junker guns and a "fixed" Junker transponder. Sometime between then and Vadim's twenty-first birthday, his father was partially blinded by an ion storm surge and could no longer pilot small ships. Vadim was given his father's best ship, a salvaged and restored Karasu heavy fighter built by the Gas Miner's Guild. Outfitted with restored Disinfector guns, Vadim set off to explore Sirius as a freelancer. By the time he was twenty-three, however, he was no longer just a freelancer. He was a freelancer on the run. In Liberty, he had been charged for the murder of two LSF officers, assaulting a Navy flag officer, and smuggling cardamine. Bretonia had him wanted for the death of all hands aboard an Armed Forces gunboat. He had already been exiled from Kusari and Rheinland in the past. All that was left was the numerous pirate factions of Sirius and the Junkers. Until he met Jacob Keller on Barrier Gate. Keller was the leader of the Children of Conviction, self-appointed after a bloody coup overthrew his predecessor. Keller took Vadim as one of his own, giving him some funds and, above all, a family of individuals not unlike Vadim himself. These people called themselves the Children of Conviction, a name and a group that Vadim thought he would be best known under. In late 817 A.S., Vadim became Vice Commander of the Children of Conviction, second in command and Keller's right hand man, and has been so ever since. INFORMATION DISPLAY COMPLETE.
