I had a small discussion about transport turrets on the RepEx Skype chat about which one were "The best" and I was wondering, what are you using?

If you are using a Ptrans, then all Bel turrets or all Kraken turrets are the best choice, believe me.

I use all 4 type, but I almost never shoot from them, they can`t do me no good (on my trader well)

If this were flood, my answer would probably be something like "The type I'm shooting your Starflea with" - but it's not...
On a pirate transport, I'd use a combination of type 1s and 2s.

4's are worthless. I like coming across traders using type 4's. Makes me smile, and then I take their ore.
I use a combination of 1's and 2's. 2 type 1's and 4 type 4's on my mining ship. And keep firing the type 1's even after their shield goes down, it's hard to fire if you have no energy, believe me.

I use a combo of 1s and 2s. My liner does well with them and honestly, if you hit anyone with them... they FEEL it. I recommend you also run heavy armor to give them another reason to pause.

Depends what you're doing, self-defense or offense.

Properly used type 4s can give pause to your average bomber. They go evasive and forget to shoot while your civvy shield comes back up, and you'll probably win over time- and certainly be able to get away from a lone bomber. However, against gunboats and transports there's no substitute for 1s and 2s.

If I'm trading (which I haven't done in forever) I like Turret type 3s or Small transport turrets because they look better in my opinion, but on my pirating transports I use type 2s and throw on tizzies for emp work
