Old School RP game - Missingno. - 07-02-2007
These dont seem to happen any more and it saddens me greatly as when I was active on disco back at the start, these were some of my fondest memories of online gaming. These used to happen all the time, and were a lot of fun.
Basicly for an hour or so, a pre organised RP game takes place. The classic rp style is somewhat relaxed a bit and in some case a few people may take each other side who normally may not do.
Not sure how it woukd be worked out, but I would like to play the nomad invasion game again. If Firebird would let us (and if he still has it...), we could get the jellyfish out and attack manhattan, starting from say... unknown 1 with the coalition starting from new york (rememebr the game right?
I know many of the old timers will agree when I say they were a lot of fun and were a good laugh, which did bring the community, especially on the forums, closer and gave us all something to discuss.

Basically you think we should have another big organized RP event? I am always up for those and its unfortunate that they don't happen that much any more. We would just need people to help plan it, and make ideas and recruit members.

The last major one, I believe is the BSG one, but most people remember the Constellation Cruise. That was a fun event. Go search it up for more info.

yup, sign me in, i've always drooling for all kind of RP events, must be origned from my childhood when i always wanted to play pen & paper rp but never found good players or not-s**t-head "game ruler" (dunno the english word for the one who "leads" the game).. Usually my rp experiences was like making character for couple hours, and when the game starts: U wake up in a hangover at the tree, under you is poisoned spikes and above you is killer bees, what do you do?" "Emmmmmm..." "Well u drop and you die, what shall we do next?"
So anyway, yep, always in for good or medicore RP - experience

Ouch, sorry to hear that Fun_bot... PnP D&D when lead by a real GM (Game Master, it's that English word you were looking for.) is really, really fun.
