IFfs - Foror - 01-07-2010 is attacking some one souly because their faction doesnt like a particular iff really a good reason to immediately declare war/combat on some one? even if both the people in question are green to each other? if so, then i want an inexpensive way to turn off my iff permanently, because i've enjoyed being independent so far except for the for mentioned problem <.< IFfs - Akura - 01-07-2010 Type '/droprep' until none of your reputations are flashing. IFfs - Foror - 01-07-2010 ' Wrote:Type '/droprep' until none of your reputations are flashing.like i said, is there an inexpensive way to do this? -_- because atm, i've got a large number of factions in the high greens, and i really dont wanna end up spending like 3 mil on fixing my reps- only other thing i'm hoping i could try, is using a zoner iff, but honestly, i think that would cause more people to Q.Q when they are being "pirated by a Zoner" but thats the only real neutral faction with no enemies- i'm just sick of green players picking fights and insisting we fight, rping the part of an extremely rude person, just to pvp. so considering the consequences of pvp, i'm not crazy about engaging just because some one wants a fight. just wanting some positive feed back and sugestions on ways to cope. ._. IFfs - Thurgret - 01-07-2010 If you're playing an independent character, get a double/triple Freelancer bribe on Barrier Gate (meaning wait till there's a bunch of NPCs in the bar all offering FL bribes, and take them all at once without leaving the bar). Obviously there's no good doing that on a character with a rep that's already screwy, so you'd likely be best off setting up a new one. And 3 million isn't all that much, really, except until you've a decent way of making money. It costs in the region of 20 million to set up a fully equipped fighter, after all. IFfs - Linkus - 01-07-2010 I'm assuming you are using the pirate ID. If you are using the Freelancer one, you can't pirate. If you are using the Mercenary one, you can't pirate (As far as I know). Just go shoot some of the faction's ships or depots that you are green with, will decrease your rep with them. Or take missions for them and then cancel them. Or take missions against them and don't cancel them. IFfs - Thurgret - 01-07-2010 The pirate ID has a nasty repninja in any case. So presumably you just have a small handful of unlawful factions as green? IFfs - Foror - 01-07-2010 i'll take a look into it. btw, one last thing, is every xeno rper going to prattle about the same old same old "the government lies to you", or immediately inform u they want to kill you and engage combat? cause i'm thinking i dont wanna go through all this trouble if they are gonna attack me just cause i'm unaffiliated iff'd ' Wrote:The pirate ID has a nasty repninja in any case. So presumably you just have a small handful of unlawful factions as green?and yeah.. i kinda liked it that way because it made traveling a breeze in certain case's, when i cant find freeports and junker base's. well, zoner and junker anrt unlawfull, mostly semi unlawfull and neutral. IFfs - Thurgret - 01-07-2010 Oh, right. No amount of IFF changing is going to change the attitude of the Xenos to: 1) foreigners 2) those who associate with foreigners 3) Liberty's government, which is doing it wrong 4) those who happen to be employed by Liberty's government 5) foreign pirates and those who associate with foreign pirates 6) people who smell funny IFfs - Foror - 01-07-2010 i dont smell funny ._. IFfs - mnbnbf - 01-07-2010 Sounds to me like you want a character who's neutral to everyone. |
