Which iPhone to get? - Alex. - 01-07-2010 AT&T...? I thought iPhones were locked into O2 in the UK. Which iPhone to get? - Seth Karlo - 01-07-2010 I own a 16Gb iPhone 3G, and absolutely love it. Best purchase I've ever made, it's the most useful thing I've ever owned, and O2 usually gives you a year free's internet, which is beautiful. I would personally go for the 16 gigs, merely because new apps these days need the 3GS to really work well, and if you jailbreak it (I have) you can put PS1 emulators and stuff on it (good fun). Also, the extra room you'll thank me for. 8 gigs doesn't go far when there are apps in the store for 500 megs, and your music library eats a bit of it (The iPhone software itself requires almost a gig, which they neglect to tell you). -Seth Which iPhone to get? - Alex. - 01-07-2010 But your not stuck on O2 you know... There are ways to bypass it.;) Disclaimer: This may... Or may not be 100% legal. :P Which iPhone to get? - Birdtalon - 01-07-2010 O2, Orange and Vodaphone now. Which iPhone to get? - Sassafras - 01-07-2010 Get the iPhone 3Gs. Several hardware and feature changes that make it run better than the 3G. If it's not already required, make sure you get the unlimited data plan. Look at texting use and buy appropriately. Data and text overages will cost you a fortune. Great phone. I use to work for AT&T. Keep the software updated via iTunes. If for some reason you cannot make or receive call or can't access the Internet, call customer service and ask them to re-register your device on the network. Was biggest complaint I received and that's how it's fixed, and $1,000 phone bills for those who didn't have unlimited data. Prob a bit more info then you needed. Sass Which iPhone to get? - neko_soilder - 01-07-2010 i use a ipod touch and my regular phone for the reason of its WAY cheaper, the only downside is i can only get wifi internet. if you arn't going to be using internet most of the time (work, driving) then just get a touch. but if you are going to be using internet on your phone then (please say you arn't driving) then i would go for the iphone. i know asking a geek (you play a modded version of FL *YOU ARE A GEEK*) to not using internet 24/7 is hard but its still your choice |
