Requesting UoG, MR and Corsair attention - Fletcher - 01-10-2010

Hey folks, I'm considering writing a story about the Battle of Cork between UoG/MR? forces against the Corsair fleet.

There are only bits of information I can dig up. Here they are:
Kilrea Orbital Station Infocard Wrote:Following the destruction of all life on Planet Cork by the Corsairs, all survivors fled to nearby Colerain base, the Military HQ of the Mollies freedom movement. Colerain was not outfitted to maintain so many refugee's, and plans for a civilian station where quickly drawn up. The station was named Kilrea, after Shamus Kilrea, the man who helped to evacuate thousands of refugees from Cork's surface just before the orbital bombardment commenced. The inhospitable and volitile world of Cork, which Kilrea orbits, is a reminder to all residents of Kilrea station that evil lurks in the hearts of men, and what that evil is capable of. It is a driving force, for all Mollys, man, woman, and child to never let such a catastrophe ever happen again. Kilrea Station orbits the desolated planet Cork. For generations to come, it will be the home for all Molly civilians.

With these infocards, I can piece the after effects of the invasion, but I am yet to know if the battle ever actually took place with evidence in lore, nor any message dumps or images to the contrary.

This battle deserves a story, and I'm willing to give it a shot. But I need some more information, like leaders, ships from both sides.

Pass me some information, then hopefully, I can send a draft of the story to certain people for feedback, then eventually put it up.

I request help1:rtfm:

My as-of-yet unrecieved Skype message to you:
[2:09:11 PM] Sprolf: The UoG are dead.
[2:09:12 PM] Sprolf: Y'know.
[2:09:23 PM] Sprolf: DO NOT INVOKE THEIR NAME OR THEY MAY RESURRECT THEMSELVES
[2:09:28 PM] Sprolf: THAT WOULD NOT BE OPTIMAL

All-in-all, it's a fairly straight-foward event. Corsairs bomb Cork. End.

Ask Hyperion about it if you have to learn more.
I think he still lurks around.

Maybe, but I'd envision that the Mollies/UoG or whoever took part, would at least put up some kind of stand before the Corsairs manage to slip a nuclear warhead past their defences.

A battle is more grand than a simple extermination.
