Long-range contract between DHC and BHG - Wolfspirit - 01-11-2010

The Rheinland border Omega systems never were safe systems but in the last time, after the war between Liberty and Rheinland striked out, and our RMHC can't send enough patrol for defending Rheinland interests, piracy earned significantly. Daumann patrols and escorts can't defend our miners and transports all the time, this is why we need to hire the Bounty Hunters Guild for system defence. After formal negotiations we enter into the following agreement:
Quote:Contract Terms:

The Guild contracts with Daumann Heavy Construction for the following terms.

Systems: Omega 3,7,11

Duties:
1.Protect Daumann vessels, interests and mining operations.

2.Destroy Red Hessians, Corsairs, Coalition, Das Wilde, Junkers or any non-aligned pirate ships within these systems.

3.Disrupt other mining operations:

-Independent mining operations will be requested to leave. If needs be, warning shots will be issued. Their ships will be destroyed as a last resort.

-Any ship bearing identification credentials of Kruger, Daumann, BMM or IMG ID will not be interfered with any way. Any disagreement shall be resolved by these corporations among themselves.

-Any other ID'd ships involved in mining will be destroyed, regardless of affiliation

Payment:

Month 1:
-One fully equipped Hegemon Mining Ship (for classified purposes)
-Three fully equipped Rheinland Armoured Transports (for prisoner and personnel transfer)
-Maintenance crew for these ships to be attached to the Guild permanently

Month 2 and thereafter:
100 million credits (negotiable as circumstances dictate)

Other terms:
-The Guild reserves full salvage/looting/contraband seizure rights

Two brand new armoured transport already on Rostock. Of course we like to know how the Guild working, so we want to see reports in regular intervals. If Daumann management satisfied with the Guild, we will supply the Guild with products, send regularly basic supply and other rheinland goods to BHG bases. Contract start as soon as a Guild Master undersign it.

It's been a busy weekend in Bretonia alright. The guilds deliberate presence has made things dificult for the pirates, and we're doing well in seeing them off. First of was this little group of fools we ran into at the Leeds hole in Dublin. We really did make mincemeat of them, though yet again my guncams seem to be playing up and failing to pick up on most of the explosions we created.

[Image: th_screen1-7.jpg] . [Image: th_screen2-7.jpg] . [Image: th_screen3-3.jpg] . [Image: th_screen4-4.jpg] . [Image: th_screen5-4.jpg] . [Image: th_screen6-4.jpg]

I also had the pleasure of taking out a number of gunboats solo. Three, to be exact. First off was some fool of a Corsair I ran into in Cambridge. He tried to run, and despite my repeated attempts at communication I failed to get a word out of him, so I finished him off without the loos of a single shield battery.

[Image: th_screen1-8.jpg] . [Image: th_screen2-8.jpg]

Then there was some idiot in a Kusari Explorer that had been giving the BAF some troubles. They got me to take him out, which I did with consumate ease.

[Image: th_screen3-4.jpg] . [Image: th_screen4-5.jpg]

Finally was a Wilde gunboat I found in Omega-3. I had heard vague reports coming in from the area around Freeport 1 that sightings of an unknown vessel had been made. I decided to head out that way, and while searching on of the more remote sectors, it showed up. It seems it had been specifically seeking me out! My skin crawled as its inhuman screams rattled through my head, and the crew were sorely shaken, but we'd been in worse situations and come out alive, so I was able to restore order relatively easily, and we were ready for it when the shooting started. It was a tough fight. I've run across this ship before, but it has always been escorted by other Wilde, usually a bomber or two. This time it was vulnerable, and despite the terrifying power of its weapons, the superior manoeuverability of my Orca gave me the edge I required, and the Wilde was soon destroyed.

[Image: th_screen4-5.jpg] . [Image: th_screen6-5.jpg]

Unfortunately, despite scouring the area for salvagable tech and any escape pods, I was unable to locate anything of value. I get the feeling I've not seen the last of this one...........

Our new contract with the Daumann gives an exciting opportunity to see some Hessian pilots in action. I heard rumors about them being skilled pilots, though I haven't found proof for that so far. Two days ago what started out as a standard patrol in Omega-7, ended up dispatching Hessians as they kept pouring on us. Sadly my guncam seemed to malfanction, so half of my recorded images are unrecognizable. I hope the technicians on Solarius can tinker it up.

In Omega-7 we ran into a Corsair ship threatening a Daumann miner. My scanner failed to examine the ship, it looked like a heavy fighter, but we couldn't find anything useful amongst the remains. The miner paid a nice sum to me for saving his life and his cargo, which he was apparently more worried about.

Soon Ed Hex arrived to check out the miners in Omega-11 and he quickly found what he was looking for, namely 3 Hessian bombers. I just sat back and watched the professional in work, as he single-handedly blew up one bomber after another. Now I know what I want to be when I grow up, I want to be like Ed!
And that's when they started to stream into the system. I quickly lost track counting the enemy ships, but I managed to record a few of them. Good thing that Mary Poppins was about, se we weren't without reinforcements either.
The first one to arrive was a gunship, who sadly managed to crawl back to the cave they call a base.

An independent pirate in a pirate transport tried to help the pathetic Hessians, so we made a short work of him.
[Image: screen29h.th.jpg][Image: screen30d.th.jpg]

And another gunship, who wasn't so lucky in getting away, but the explosion knocked out my guncam completely. Why the ship was fleeing away from their base towards open space is beyond me...

In the end miners can dig in their rocks safe for another day!

Jack Bane

Fulfilling the Guild contract with Daumann led me towards the Omegas, as Bretonia was so quiet. Feral was already in the area, keeping the Hessians in Omega-11 in check, and a large number of miners were present in Omega-7.

As I made my way through Cambridge I got reports from our forward station of a corsair presence in Omega-5 that appeared to be headed for Omega-7. I contacted Feral, instructing him to meet me there. Numbers were confirmed by the time I was passing Freeport 1. Three corsairs, in unknown vessels. Time was short, I knew.

Jumping through the gate to Omega-7, my scans caught the trail of one of the Sails, the bastard children of the now dead OPG. I took the lane to Freistadt. As I apprached the station, three corsairs were picked up, all Sails vessels.

[Image: th_screen2-12.jpg] . [Image: th_screen3-8.jpg] . [Image: th_screen4-10.jpg]

They were in the middle of extorting protection money from a Kruger miner. I tried to warn him not to pay them, as it would only encourage them, especially in the presence of the BHG! Feral appeared then, and despite demands for the Sails to withdraw, they refused, so I instructed Feral to engage. We caught them off guard. The stupid Kruger pilot still paid them though!

The fight was somewhat one sided. The Sails pilots were no match for me and Feral, and we'd soon forced them to try to run. With us savaging its hull, the Pirate Transport was the first to make it to the hole to Omega-5. By the time I had jumped through, the Transport was out of range of my CD, but the Praetorian decided to try a sneak attack. As he moved in, I swung my Orca around, and a perfectly timed volley of pulse and razor took him out instantly.

Shortly thereafter the Gladiator limped through the hole, badly damaged by the radiation in Omega-7. As he pleaded for his pathetic life, Feral delivered the coup de grace.

Yesterday those damn 'sairs pulled something new in the Omegas. Instead of trying to overwhelm us with their numbers, they only sent one pirate transport with some sort of hardened armor, so good thing Feral was around. Too bad they don't realize with their puny brains that sending ships into the Omegas will only make them explode, one after another, and by our guns, of course. Anyway, as I heared this particular 'sair aboard that transport was some kind of a hot shot amongst them, and he indeed was kind of hot... while exploding! Haha, my jokes are so awesome, but these dumb miner people here don't unerstand them.

Guncam shots of the said vessel and the fireworks.

A bit of a late entry into the logs, but here goes anyways.

On patrol with the Mary.Poppins we came across an interesting phenomenon near the Cambridge jump hole in Omega 3. We took a couple of scans of the item, but couldn't positively identify or explain what it was.

I've attached a few guncam shots of it to relay its appearance and location relative to the jump hole.

[Image: BHG001-2.png] [Image: BHG002-3.png]

Afterwards we made a move towards Omega 7 to check out the area and see what was happening there when we came across Jack Bane who was looking to do the same. We picked up a lone Corsair on scanners looking to earn himself a few extra credits at the expense of traders passing by. A little bit strange to see him pirating the lanes while he had a cargo bay full of his amigos; maybe on a sightseeing tour or something.

Surprisingly he was smart enough to make his way towards Omega 5 when we approached, and I suspect that was to buy time to get his reinforcements in. It wasn't long before a small herd of his amigos showed up to ruin our good time.

Not long after, a Red Hessian cruiser showed up with the intent of ridding the area of Corsairs; fortunately for us he didn't care much for our being there. Enemy of my enemy sorta thing, I suppose.

It seemed like the Corsairs just kept comin' and comin' cuz everytime you turned around a new one had joined the fight. It wasn't until a Corsair cruiser decided to join in that we decided we weren't in a good position to continue. I was fortunate to make it back to Freeport with a sliver of hull left and a few Corsairs in tow.

That's all for now.

M. Romeo

Been busy on the Daumann job, and out for revenge since I got bushwahacked a week back.

Teamed up with some mining escort ships to whup a few Hessians. Here are some guncam shots of a transport about to go nova.

And some payback when I teamed up with some Rheinland Military againt the same gang of Hessians in Rheinland space shortly after. Most of these Heimdalls was dead soon after.

We've been clearing out independent miners and Junkers from the contract systems.
