Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking.
Consequences: Just deleted both your ships this time. Having F1'd out on someone, you then proceed to attack someone else with an engagement notice of ))), then re-engage a few times as well, saying nothing but ))) every time.
