Cruise disruptors - Ant - 07-12-2007 As has been mentioned in the past, cruise disruptors have a max speed matching that of cruise so hitting a ship that is in cruise is very difficult. I've tested a setting in constants.ini that allows cruise disruptors to travel faster than cruise. ANOM_LIMITS_MAX_VELOCITY = 500 Allows cruise disruptors to travel at 500 while cruise remains at 350(The normal setting is ANOM_LIMITS_MAX_VELOCITY = 350 which limits missiles to 350). I guess the question would be, does this setting adversely affect anything? Cruise disruptors - Korrd - 07-12-2007 It's not illegal. You can cut engines, but not during a BS vs BS fight. The change will not alter anything, as cruise speed is limited from a different variable. I suggested that change long ago. I don't know why it wasn't implemented on the mod. Cruise disruptors - Ant - 07-18-2007 Any idea if it's possible to reduce damage to 0 on CDs? The explosion range on Train CDs means friendly NPCs go hostile. Would the NPCs go hostile if the CDs did no damage? Would the cruise disruptors still work?
