And Idea about nomads. - ... kur nubėgo? - 01-18-2010 Well this touches keepers. To start this, no I'm not suggesting this for implent or anything. No I'm not whining about keeper ovepowered stuff they should be such. This is just my point of view. And no Tena, this is definatly not another thread to whine about nomad torpedo. So to start with. We have some of unlogical things in the server. Like well. Corsair allies for example which were made up to keep balance with oc alliance and only later thinked how those alliances could be justified (fail imo). I bet other players who plays on other factions spotted some issues around too. One more issue touches nomads. Don't need to flame me or anything, I'm not trying to nerf them. ha like I care I don't really meet them in game and somehow I do not feel harmed by it. But oh well there is few things. First. Shielding. In vanila freelancer nomads do not use shields. Why they have this stuff here? Seems just like another foolishness which was made first and later a rp background was just made to justify it (same as some guys who wants to get best stuff and their all rp is just to justify the pvp advantage). Bots and bats.. Come on. They are organic? wtf they need these? It doesnt make any sense. Nomad missiles... Oh well agian. I do not pull off my hand from a bodie and trow at my opponent to knock him out. They are organic ! Neither in vanila nomads had missiles. (take a look at vnila gunboats. Compera nomie ones with rheinland one) Armor upgrades.. emm alright? they use universal armor upgrades? Hull plating? Reminds me about knight armor which was weared on flesh. Now of course we are not about to make them weak. What about just increasing their hull raiting for about 12 or 15 times (perhaps a bit more) And really don't make me lol about "I was ganked in my nomad" ... Remember one thread of whine. The current voidrunner is able to kill 3 vhf's alone. If you can't you are doing it wrong. And I don't really see why they should be this much advanced after all they are quite primitive life forms. Well yes uber tech, energy conversion dison sphere, but they are still primitives. Reminds me about ants a bit. Highly social advaced life form. Some people tend to say that more than people, yeah right, go and ilve with your ants if you want it so, but lets do not go for that thats quite another discussion. (shaking thing, ugly, but just to remind, most of the time the caps are without shield in the fights anyway) After all you are rp guys, right? .. what a bout starting to use -real- nomad stuff? Keep in mind that we don't have replacements for everything yet. If Universal's mark8 all of the sudden becomes Rheinland only property via an infocard change, will you stop using it? I doubt it. If developers remove us veils, in order to balance chances, Fighter armor 'd have to be increased. Very increased. Armor upgrade may not be logical, but it is another matter of balance. We may be "RP guys" but our Keepers faction concept doesn't deny us PvP. If we loose armor upgrades and shields, we will become even easier target. We also try to RP, but when we encounter pvp seekers, we have no choice but to defend ourselfs... PS: "In vanilla they dont have...." talks are weird. A monkey defending her forest with rail gun laser will be still a monkey. Not technology is the kay thing which makes human differ from animal. (If you insist this so much I'll try to translate the proving of it in english in general discussion, perhaps you'll be able to find soem flaws in it. I'll bring them back to our universities Logic lecturer, he will be very intrested, and I'll grateful for your input too) The Veil thing actually just looks like a rp which was made to justify the shielding on the nomad ship. Sorry but. really it looks like it. Actualy only thing wich makes it diffrent it's the name and interpretation. So I do not make any mistake calling it a shield. Bots/bats I think you can make a ship which woul have zero of those. Instead of bots just boost hull accodinatly. + give boost to hull for not having a shield. More energy than flesh. Well so what? That doesn't proves anything. They are just biased on diffrent element. But that doesn't mean it is more superior. Perhaps in tech way it is. But that is only a little piece of advanced civilization. By saying real nomad stuff I ment something which is not made by dev team and later a rp was created just to justify the balance. It should be the opposite if you ask me. Not really rpish from my point of view. Oh and No boss. I don't really meet Keepers. It was just these questionsrised up in my mind, and tought you are able to make a proper answer. But seems Boss failed at it. Anyhow, thanks for Exile. But still things doesn't look right. If nomads are so advanced how you tend to beleive, why then they copie human tech in the first place? |
