Okay i was involved in the convoy as 1 of the pirates. this needs to be helled again as it was so messy no one who they were shooting most of the time and the traders were unfair by using cruise they should of used truster. as it was nearly imposable to catch up with them when you had 3 escorts shooting CD's at you so you had to truster after transports going at twice the speed. then when you catch up with them you take there shield down and some of there hull then they use bots and hit cruise and fly off again(you can't chase them as you have to look at your shields and hull and having swarms of NPC's attacking you also with player escorts and there CDing you so you can give a good chase and try to male them stop.)
So maybe this event should be redone and clearer rules set in place for both sides.

Unfortunatly there were only like 3 pirates, and one was a Hessian, one was a Blood Dragon, and one was a corsair. Things didn't go to well, and there was alot of strife in teh pirate ranks.

It's not our fault you guys didn't notice Farwren say go after the server crash...
As for using Cruise, how else are we supposed to make the long journey across the systems? Even if we had Nomad thrusters, the thrusters would run out of power long before we get across the system. For that matter, the bigger freighters can only go about 130-150 on the thrusters, no matter which one you have. Fighters can reach 200 easily. Tactically speaking, cruise was the only way to go about it.
I suppose I could have stuck it out, as I was the only Luxury Liner on the run, but most of the other ships were better off running.
BTW, wouldn't this be better in the Server forum?

~V~Shamballa was taken down during the event in Alaska by Bernadotte and myself. Lotsa of CD's works.. We were 1 Eagle and a Kushan Freighter. would have been more had we not ran out of CDs..

It sounds like incompetency on your part. Dodge... It's really not that hard. The only problem was lack of pirates. If you had more, we'd have other people to group in pirates.
Is pirating easy? No!!! It's an art. Each pirating experience is different. Cruise is their advantage. They will use it.
