Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - Athenian - 01-26-2010 Quote:3.1 Using coarse language, posting abusive, hateful, racist content in chat, public or private is prohibited under any circumstances. Any kind of flaming, threatening or insulting language directed at other members, factions or server administrators in chat, public or private, is prohibited on server and on forums. RP-related threats are allowed on the server. Consequences: Veil - insulting; rule-lawyering - fined guns, shield, armour Nate.Saxlythe - threatening reports; rule-lawyering - fined guns, shield, components and all cargo and credits John.Harper - rule-lawyering - fined all guns, credits and cargo You are poorly misinformed as to what is permissible under certain ID's. Threatening reports is not acceptable behaviour. Least of the offenders: =CR=Temnozor[41st] - ooc - fined all guns and credits It is understandably frustrating to have to deal with threats and insults. Out of character chat in system chat is not the way to respond. Notifications in hold. Administrator tired from trawling through this nonsense. Admin Link to Report COMPLETE SERVER RULES BEFORE YOU POST If you post in this sanction and are not directly involved or a leader of the accused person's faction be advised that you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban. Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - CzeReptile - 01-26-2010 I posted ooc only in local chat. Never in system chat. edit - oh well, still the same. I just find my punishment too severe regarding the situation, but oh well oh well. Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - Athenian - 01-27-2010 That's a typo - my mistake. OOC should be reserved for private chat. It is never necessary in local or system chat. As I said already, in this you are far from being the more serious transgressor. Your point as to the severity of the punishment has been taken. Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - Valentine-Creir - 01-27-2010 So wait, we get punished for trying to keep the rules intact? As far to my knowledge you can only do that with a guard ID. It applies to every faction ive seen, CR are the exception now? And all of my insults are in RP. Outcasts dont like CR. And secondly, i wasnt even involved in this. I took no part in the destruction or protection of him. I was merely trying to make sure everything was ok, so that no one would be sanctioned like what is happening now. Innocent bystander here. Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - Reverend Del - 01-27-2010 CR I Wrote:Can demand contraband and allied pilots only within the Omegas and Taus, and destroy ships if they refuse to comply Nothing in there about them not being able to do that in GB's. Nothing at all. Thusly you rule lawyered the wrong rules. Frankly it wouldn't have mattered if you rules lawyered the right rules. Don't do it. Frankly it wouldn't have mattered if you rules lawyered the right rules. Don't do it. It says that on any regular Pirate ID [in pirating terms] that they can demand stuff from them. Says nothing about not using a gunboat, yet everyone knows you must have a Guard ID to do that. And about rule lawyering, is this even illegal? Oh you tried to keep discovery rules intact, im going to sanction you. Pilot carrying this ID is a Liberty Rogue, who : Can trade and escort smugglers Can fulfill bounty contracts Can demand credits or cargo from traders and smugglers Can engage pirates, terrorists and lawfuls within their Zone of Influence Cannot ally with any lawfuls Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime. Does this ID say anything about not using a gunboat? Nope. You really need to be more specific in ID's. Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - Reverend Del - 01-27-2010 *holds his hands up* Okay slap me in chains. Given I use my GB for pirating a lot. You don't need to have a guard ID to pirate in a gunboat. Not now not ever. The basic pirate ID let's you rob folks in a gunboat. It is allowed. Know thine rules, before you fall flat on your face. Oh wait.... Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - Valentine-Creir - 01-27-2010 ' Wrote:*holds his hands up* Okay slap me in chains. Given I use my GB for pirating a lot. You don't need to have a guard ID to pirate in a gunboat. Not now not ever. The basic pirate ID let's you rob folks in a gunboat. It is allowed. Know thine rules. before you fall flat on your face. Oh wait.... Then why does the guard id specificly address the gunboat? Is it possible that you need this ID to pirate in gunboats? Impossible! Pilot carrying this ID is a Liberty Rogue Guard, who : Can escort smugglers Can demand credits or cargo from traders and smugglers Can only pirate in a gunboat or smaller (cruisers may demand allied pilots only) Can engage pirates, terrorists and lawfuls within their Zone of Influence Cannot ally with any lawfuls Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats I know for a fact you cannot pirate in capital class ships, it is a rule and people have been sanctioned for it many many times. The guard ID specifically allows you to use the gunboat for a reason. And, as stated here gunboats are considered a capital. 6.8 For purposes of the server rules, the following ship classes are defined: a) All light fighters, heavy fighters, very heavy fighters, super heavy fighters, and bombers are considered fighters; b) Trader ships with cargo hold less than 650 units are considered freighters; c) Trader ships with cargo hold more than 650 units are considered transports; d) Liners are named as such. Yachts are -not- Liners, they are transports e) Gunboats, cruisers (including destroyers and battlecruisers), battleships (including dreadnoughts and juggernauts) are considered capital ships. This sanction is absolutely ridiculous. And about the OOC chat in local, news flash, EVERYONE DOES IT. Should i just go around and screenshot everyone who spoke ooc in local or system? 80% of your entire player base would be sanctioned within the week. Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - Reverend Del - 01-27-2010 Take a good look through the sanction threads, a real good look, and find me a sanction for someone who's been pirating in a gunboat. You won't find one. Secondly the Rogue guard ID used to permit cruisers and battleships which is why that line is there. It's an anachronism left over from days of yore. The reason the regular Id doesn't say anything about pirating in a GB is because it doesn't need to, everyone knows it can be done. except you apparently. Thirdly the line you are looking for is this one: 6.7 Attacking transports, liners or demanding cargo from the same is not allowed for cruisers and battleships. Which says nothing about capital ships, merely cruisers and battleships (Destroyers count as cruisers and dreadnoughts and carriers count as battleships, for anyone thinking of getting creative. Cargo is also interchangeable for credits here, although not on individual ID's) That is all. You're proven wrong, now take the hit and play on. Apparently. Whatever, ill take this knowledge into the future with me. Over my E-rage and time to move on like a mature person. Sorry for the scrap Saint. |
