Well you guys are always talking about that we need to do more RP, RP this, RP that, so I showing some examples that happened today. I traded a lot of hours, and was chased by Queen Anne's Revenge, a corsair gunboat. Well I had to dock the trader and got away to play with another char, since the SF was not solving the situation in Cambridge.
So I was playing with this another char, and got to California. There I found another corsair gunboat, I think his name is Zealot. I scanned him, and found a corsair ID. Since this other char of mine is a outcast, I proceed to engage. The corsair fought against me, but eventually docked at the gate and fleed. I let him go. I docked at Alcatraz, then Queen Anne's Revenge suddenly said in private to me: "Yaarr", when she was very far away in Cambridge. So I thought "this guy that I attacked is probably her friend". She eventually got to Leeds, maybe searching for a way to engage my outcast in Liberty, perhaps with her friend assisting her.
In that it had passed, I think, one hour. I got back to my trader and restarted, things were secured in the route, no pirates around. I check the chat, she was in Omega 49, then I thought "well she is coming after me again". Then I called a mercenary, Thrawn**Merc_4_Hire, who was just in Omega 47. He said he was in a cruiser, so I hired him to kill her for 4 million credits, including screenshots. Then a chase started. I think she dont knewn, initially, that he was after her. As I was trading I followed the operation checking the chat screen and talking with the mercenary. Some hours passed, he followed her to California, but she docked somewhere, hiding from him. At that time she probably known what was happening, so I dropped the contract and paid 2 million to the guy for compensation for the time he lost. He said he was sorry to not being able to get her, and promised me a discount for escort next time we meet again. Payment was done in New York through one of my support ships.
This was a roleplaying event. No announcement, no preparation. The event was just made there, at the occasion.

I hope this serves as a lesson to those greedy "money collectors", who dare to call themselves "traders", but dont hire the mercenaries to do their jobs, and also to the "ruleplayers" who support the "no piracy in cruisers" rule, since the corsair in question was to be outclassed by the mercenary, and this was probably the reason why she dont engaged. I hope the players here open their eyes, instead of flaming each other because someone said this or that while it was in character, and we have equal rules for everybody so we have equal fun on both sides. Maybe you dont known, but I and the SCRA guys are always talking in RP, and I joke them, in character, and I have fun with that, even when my ship is blowed up. And no, I dont report them for calling me a fool (although I dont like the moron insult - fool, idiot, and retarded is fine for me).

Still today, before all that happened, I had a private talk with Lancer-X trader, all in-character, and he took some time to figure out what I was saying. Well that was funny and I hope next time he understand what Im talking about.

I totally agree with you. That's some good role playing. I'm trying to be a trader, but right now I don't have enough credits to hire the mercs that I need...
