SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION TO FOLLOW

So, here's the run-down. My sig-making history since then, if you will...

Generation III (Sep 2007 - May 2008)

So, beginning at the end of 2007:

During the "sigmaking experiments" thread, I made the following:

(Summer of 2007 is actually when I did the entire climb to that point, from tacky ****-sigs to there.)


2008:

During the winter (Jan. onward), I expanded on the basic design of Scorch's sig...

Gen IV (May 2008 - Feb 2010)

After the beginning of Gen IV, I stopped making as many sigs. So, the few that I did make were rather similar:

(Aug 31 '07 being the date that Auto Assault shut down, making this sig a 1-year commemorative)

Then I went to textures:

Then stopped.

Now I'm making sigs again!

So, for my first try in the new decade, I tried something old: I attempted to make the last sig that I requested from another sigmaker; a request that was never answered:

I liked it as a pure expression of how far I'd come, but not as a sig. That is to say, I didn't think it looked better than anything in the past, just that it did what I couldn't do before: Make a CSV work on a sig.

F**k. That. S**t.

If you can't improve, then you're worth nothing.

Gen V


Generation V is needed. I have ideas, and I know how to implement them, but I need more test subjects. I need subjects who actually have different wants and needs, and I don't want to chase down stocks.

So, here's the deal:

Request a sig.

Include any material that you want to be in the sig with your request. I don't want to have to cut backgrounds off; that's a waste of time. Make someone else do it.

Tell me what it needs to look like.

If there's something that you'd like to see done, say so. I have some ideas for Generation V, but more ideas from any source would help!


I'll work on the requests. Actually, I'll work only on the interesting ones, and only if I feel like it.

Your sig may not look like what you asked for. For example: If no one requests a red sig, but two request blue ones, one might be red. Don't worry, I'll give you your money back. All 0 credits.



In about a month's time, I'll post ALL of the finished sigs together in one batch. It might take longer than a month. Or I'll give up, and try it again next year... I may grow, I may prosper; I may flourish. But I will never forget.


Oh, and one more thing: You pay nothing.

I would like to request a signature!

If you accept my Request, I've got some images (they are the same, one has transparency and one doesn't, since I don't know how you do what you do, The transparent one is a bit badly made, since I used Paint.net to do it. I dont have access to Photoshop at the moment, but it looks fine small.)

These of course are just stencils, change whatever you want, you don't even have to use em.

Dragons are always cool anyway.

The idea did not die, and that dragon stencil is now irrelevant. I'm making all necessary resources for your sig myself, including the dragon.

However, there is still a strong possibility that it will never be finished. I haven't worked on it in a couple of weeks. Since it's obvious that you're still interested, I'll definitely do at least a bit more work on it.
