hi at all,

i have a really big problem.

since 2 weeks i cant see any server, i just see the "conection to global server..." message

thats all

im not banned

one of my friends use one of my ships in this moment

i use the following command line parameters:


F:\Spiele\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe -s87.72.29.113:2302 -dx -lag



i tried to turn off my firewall, but didnt help
also i reinstalled freelancer

connecting via xfire also fails too



after my reinstall i downloaded update 3 without any trouble


my OS is win XP, but i can use win 7 too


i hope somebody can help me

I've checked the server. You do not appear to be IP banned. Check the installation tutorial - common problems section.

Here you go: Installing FL and Discovery, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows7

hmm, it dont helps

i uninstalled FL and the FLMM

i just saver the" ~\My Games\Freelancer" Folder to save my keymap.

i followed the install manual by cannon step by step

first the game
than FLMM 1.3
click the backup thingy in FLMM
activate the Mod called Discovery 4.85 extractet from "2009_06_09_Discovery485.zip.flmod"
activate one of my chars with FAM by korrd
run FL startet by xfire
accept the first start bla bla
downloaded update 3
run the game again
goes to multiplayer menu
and just have an empty server list with the message "connecting to global server"

did i made a mistake?

Check your firewall settings that UDP ports 2302-2304 are allowed for outgoing connections.

my software firewall is completly turned of and my router firewall has opened FTP and UDP port 2302 to 2304 in both directions

I'm suddenly suffering the same problem. It worked just fine before; but after cleaning up my laptop (uninstalled Spyware Doctor, Threatfire, and PC Tools Firewall Plus; installed Avira Antivirus and Kerio Personal Firewall; then uninstalled Kerio and reinstalled the latest version of PCTFirewall+; running the whole thing on XP SP3, BTW), the server list is now empty and no server shows up. Tried it with and without the firewall, and the list was still blank.

If this isn't just a coincidence where all the servers are down right now and in addition I'm not banned (name's Lawler.Skates, BTW), then I'm stumped.

i think this will work
run the program fldirectip.hta from the folder freelancer/EXE
and put at IP address this 87.72.29.113
and the port must be 2302
next step press the button Add Server
then press Launch Freelancer
this will add only one server not all

but you neet to make this every time when you want to play

reinstal the windows and if this doesn't work reinstal everything
