Keller sat staring out the window aboard Barrier Gate station, spinning the data device around his index finger, his armor sitting in the cleaning system after his long mission past the rim of Sirius space. The mission had been successful, and he was pleased with the end result. But that was another story, all leading up to what was to happen in the near future. Keller smiled at the blueprints of the station laid out on his desk, the blueprints that lead to the soon to be newest addition to the Children's fleet of weaponry. Keller hit the comm button on his desk and spoke.

"Schneider, status on rigging the Smilodon?"

There was a thunk as the tall figure of Daniel Schneider set down his end of the load he and Vadim Petrov been carrying. He opened the lid on the secure courier box and withdrew a number of devices, passing them to his other hand before tossing them to Petrov. He named each as they flew through the air.

"Tritonal 80/20, tritonal, tritonal, tritonal, flashbang, flashbang, frag, HE, frag, HE, HE, slicer kit, glass cutter, razor wire, detonator cord..." his voice trailed off as he rummaged deeper in the box. "...seven-oh-two bullpup, stiletto, bootknife, plasma derringer, forty-four magnum...and a few things of sodium pentothal. Got four more of these crates on the Smilodon's bridge, and the shaped charges in the nose like you wanted. Flagg and Beleren are loading the jamming array now, and we swapped out a few turrets to make room for it. I'd estimate another few hours and she's good to run."

Vadim Petrov stood in front of Schneider and their cargo in a scratched the back of his head while looking at the crate of explosives and weapons. There was enough "boom" in the crate in smoke bombs alone to fog half the Barrier Gate station.

"So, Daniel," he said, "what's the plan? We're going to actually go ahead with what Keller wants us to do? Or is this just another fool scheme that'll just fail miserably? Oh, you didn't hear that from me. And neither did Keller." He pulled out a small transmission jammer from his jacket pocket and disabled it. No comms monitored in the halls could be heard from outside, and Keller would have to have been standing near them somewhere in the halls in order to hear what he said with his own ears.

He pulled the magazine out one of the assault rifles in the crate, inspected it, and locked it back into place before dropping it back in the container.

Victoria rounded the corner to the office and stood there with her arms crossed staring at Jacob from across the room.

"How go the plans, love?" she asked with a smile.

"Slow." Jacob replied through the speakers on the underside of his helmet, near his neck.

"Take off that damned helmet when you're talking to me, I like seeing your face everyonce and a while besides when we sleep together."

Jacob audibly sighed and pushed two buttons on the side of his neck and allowed the helmet to slide back into his suit. "Happy?" he commented.

"Yes." Victoria replied. "What's the plan for taking this ship?"

"We run the Smilodon into it, loaded with explosives. We strike here." Jacob said pointing at a docking platform attached to the ship. "The explosion should send them reeling off their feet long enough for us to sneak in here." Jacob rerouted his finger to the other side of the map. "We get the access codes for the ship while Schneider and Petrov keep the ship from floating into the asteroid field near the station. Render will be aboard the Smilodon until the last second, and then jetison himself into space just prior to the explosion, we will have the Sacrilegious pick him up once the ship is free from the station locks."

"Seems pretty chaotic." Victoria said looking at the map.

"For them maybe...not for us. It'll catch them off guard, they'll never see us coming."

"When do we leave?"

"Tomorrow morning. The Smilodon is almost finished being rigged."

"Too bad, I liked that ship." she said smiling and left the room. Jacob reached up and triggered the helmet to recover his head.

Beleren stood atop the Smilodon with Flagg. Flagg was clad in his own armor, looking just as alien as Beleren did with his cybernetic upgrades. Together, they guided the large dish onto one of the gun sockets that had been removed in order to transfer the power arrays into the powerful device. A work of beauty, mused Beleren.

Flagg was absurdly quiet, Beleren having no real fondness for him after a certain incident involving the possible murder of his fiancee. And for that, Beleren offered little help for this.

Keller's words rang throughout his head. "Crash the Smilodon into the docking wing." Was he high? This was a stupid plan! And of course they'd send him. The single eye-lense set in Beleren's crane-like head rolled about in its socket. A slight deviation in the jamming array's position distracted him.

Quickly pushing Flagg out of the way, he grabbed the whole device and twisted. His strength, augmented by the armor embedded in his cybernetic body, allowed him to easily turn it back. "No no no!" Beleren shouted over the comms, "Tighten it first, then let go!"
