For free, I can make a file that you just extract to your C drive, and then when you play the game, your engine will be different. Remember, the file is not compatible with new versions(I think) so ask me for another one when a new version comes out.
Here are the engines I can do:
Bretonian(Blue)
Kusari(Yellow)
Civilian(White)
Rheinland(Green)
Nomad(Purple)(Fighters Only)
Order(Red)
Post the ship type here and I will make a clientside mod.

Its like Yuris ship skins, no it doesnt.
Nomad engine is the engine that nomads use. I can make a certain engine look just like it. Its just a purple glow. Its cool tho, but gets boring eventually.

commodore this is a code change, NOT a skin change. Players that will use such modifications will be kicked and banned for cheating. I won't advice to use such things.

I am using one flawlessly. This is clientside. I can show it working on the RP server without getting kicked.

All I am doing is looking up the engine in engine equip, and then changing "engine_flame" and "Engine_Trail" to a different one. It does not affect anything else besides the looks and the player. In the screenshot you can clearly see the nomad engine glow around my engines. Im sorry I didnt show how I did it before.
and because I use it and I dont get kicked then its safe to use, no one has encountered leg from me.

Commodore, Igiss has just said "please don't use it, its a mod that changes code." So I think you ought not
to be saying you are using it. Otherwise you know what will happen ...

Ah, it's an engine_equip thing... my apologies then, I didn't realise. Yes it is clientside and you won't get kicked/banned for cheating, although I'd still not recommend to use it without special need. It's not known how such minor code changes impact server performance. If few people use it, should be OK; if many... well, I'd prefer to avoid risks in this case.

Yes, when I did my skins, it was editing the MAT files, and therefore verrry easy and guarentees no down grading to server. This edits coding, and I dont like to get tangeled into into coding...
however.... if it worked like this skins (IE NO coding), then I dunno if that would cause lag or any other down grading.
Also, best to get permission from admins/Creators before you post up such topics;)I got permission from Igiss (Still got the PM too, use it as a certificate) and took no requests until I had permission (I accedently made topic before I got permission...)
Alos, you need to 100% explain your process and why it works.
