PERSONAL ENTRY: AD -814
Hail!
This is the neural net log of Tomomasa Li, I have created it to track my progress through Sirus. Soon I shall set off into the stars (hopefully to Bretonia, I've always wanted to visit there). after my 19 years of being earth bound on Planet Kyushu I have saved enough credits to buy an old light fighter that was due to be decomissioned, a Starflier I believe. It is very basic so I will upgrade it as soon as I have enough credits. Well the final departure is tomorrow so Im signing of for some rest
PERSONAL ENTRY:
Todays the big day, My ships on the tarmac and the engines are primed, its finaly time to see space! I met a trader in the space port bar who says hell take me on as fighter cover for his transport and I will receive a deposit of 2500 credits upon contacting him in space and the rest of the money will be transferred on arrival to, guess where! Bretonia! This is working perfectly!
PERSONAL ENTRY:
Im now outside Kyushu docking ring. Its beautiful. Looking down on my home from orbit, is- strange. Oh well Im meeting Makoto Hara the trader at the Tsushima Deport. Using the trade lanes is strange as well.

I have entered formation with Makotos transport and we are heading down another trade lane towards the Tau 29 gate. The Jump Gate must have been the strangest experience of my life! It felt as if my ship was going to shake itself to pieces! Anyway I made it to the other side intact. It may be a while before I make any more recordings. I have heard stories of Outcasts and Blood dragons around here so I will need all of my attention

We have landed at Holman when the Colony News Service announced that tension between Bretonia and Kusari has peaked and the situation rests on a knife point This is disturbing news. Kusari hasnt been attacked by any house since the Rineland invasion in AD 800. If Bretonia does declare war then I am heading into the belly of the beast

All three of us escorts are now on high alert, Makoto said that the shipment was to valuable to turn back now so we are now hading for the Leeds Jump Gate. Bretonia wouldnt dare attack Kusari civilians. I sure hope Im right.

This is bad, very bad. Im the only one left alive, Emperor preserve me Bretonian military- they were in a flight of Templar Very Heavy fighters. They contacted us and told us we were being arrested for espionage and possession of contraband. Makoto told them it was unlawful for us to taken into custody- so they blew him out of space and destroyed the ejection pod It was horrible, I could hear the screams over the comms-net as fire consumed the transports crew In turn the other two Starflighers were shot down, we never stood a chance I engaged my cruise engines and fled into one of the huge smog fields that blight the system. I soon managed to lose the treacherous Bretonians. Inter system comms are proclaiming that Bretonia is at war with Kusari. They will be looking for me, If this is my last entry, I shall die for Kusari

I still cant believe it. Im going to make it out of Leeds in one piece I found a jump hole to Magllan. I have no idea where that is or what will be on the other side but its surely got to be better than this living nightmare.
PERSONAL ENTRY:
Magllan seems to be very much alike the Tau systems. Looking on the nav-map, I am in a asteroid field called the Barrier. I wont go near the trade lanes though- they might be there. I have seen huge fire fights between a group called the lane hackers and the bounty hunters. They werent bothered by be though thankfully. I hope to find a way of either travelling back to Kusari or to find refuge in Liberty.

My nav-map has just picked up a jump gate, the Barrier to dense to get a firm reading at my current distance though. It looks like my best chance to get out of here in one piece Thank the Emperor! Its a New York jump gate! This is a answer to my prayers!
PERSONAL ENTRY: AD 815
It has been a while since my last entry I am now on Planet Manhattan. The whole planet is a single giant city! It still lacks the grace and technological progress of New Tokyo though. So now I sit in a bar on the other side of the know universe thinking what to do and how Im having such a brilliant new year. I have my Starflier and 2500 credits from the deposit that Makoto paid me but I get the feeling that It probably wont last long here.

I am going to try and head back to Kusari, turns out I value my life and miss Kyushu more than I thought. I am launching to space now Wait! I just got a message on the inter-system comms
PERSONAL ENTRY:
I have now signed up with Kusari Naval Force. A recruiter that was stationed in New York contacted me so I volunteered. If my experiences are to be repeated on other innocent Kusari civilians this war with Bretonia will rapidly become murder with a different name. I with to stop that happening at all costs and I will defend my home-land to the last breath. These thoughts have led me to adopt the ensign Masurao. Me and one other recruit, Ito Yamato have taken the challenge of becoming defenders of Kusari. We both leave soon.
PERSONAL ENTRY:
It has been a long time since my last recording. I am back to Kyushu. Everything I see looks different now. They say that the universe changes you not the other way round. I guess theyre right. Anyway Im on the battleship Nagumo which I have adopted as my home base. I was granted a large sum of credits and a KNF ID. 2Million credits to be precise. That is more money than I or my family could probably have earned in a life time on Kyushu! It really is amazing how much trust there is that a recruit isnt going to run with the money. With it I brought the Chimaera and weapons outfit. I had seen them being flown by navy patrols when I left Kyushu It is a very heavy fighter that represents Kusari itself; it is a blend of cutting edge technology with the ancient traditions that have bound us for as long as anyone can remember.
PERSONAL ENTRY:
I have taken to accompanying convoys through Kusari space and taking missions to destroy criminal and pirate congregations as a part of my training. The experienced pilots of the KNF I am sure will help me in my training. I will take a break from Neural net entries whilst I continue training.

PERSONAL ENTRY: AD 816 ((present day))
Today I have resumed my neural net log. I am currently exploring the Kusari systems and border worlds around it in order to find criminal and pirate smuggling routes and jump holes. I hope this will give me a better understanding of the criminal and pirates methods and thus help me in by quest to purge them from the Kusari systems. With a total of 115 kills I have now named my fighter craft the Makoto in honour of the Transport pilot that was shot down by Bretonia. I welcome the day I will get the chance to avenge him.
PERSONAL ENTRY:
I have been doing the emperors good word in the Honshu syestem. The outcast and corsair pirate invaders have grown bold and expanded. I plan to help stop that expansion, several of the pirates have already fallen to my guns, they will not be the last to... Soon I small take a brief break to travel back to the Kyushu system and visit the Battleship Nagumo. Signing off...

Well it's nearly that time of year... My birthday's coming up. Wow. I'm going to be 22, I'll probally go back to Planet Kyushu to celebrate with the folks and fill them in with all the details of my epic into space. Ah well

PERSONAL ENTRY:
Woo-hoo!!! I just single handedly took out a Liberty Rouge convoy consisting of several Wolfhound pirate fighters and a Liberty rouge Gunboat! I was exploring the far reaches of the Shikoku system when I ran across them trying to escape to the Gallileo Jump hole. I have a pict recording of the gunboat exploding, a mighty large bang too. I must have caught the reactors with my last strafing run, the whole thing went up! (I ran out of Torps about halfway though, I had been taking out bases as demanded by the Kusari Navy) The explosion was strong enough to blow my shields clean off- i'm suprised the crew managed to eject in time. The cowards were probaly getting ready to abandon ship long before I delivered the killing blow! Still it's just as well the escorts were lousy shots, whilst my sheilds were down they could have taken me out there and then! I was forced to use all my shield bots to counter-act the damage done by the gunboats turrets. at any rate I've now got 10 Lib rouge pilots in my cargo cargo hold ready for processing at the nearest police base. That should cover the cost of any damaged equiptment! I best head back to the battleship Myoko fpr rest, repair, re-equiptment and reassinment. A good day! Hmm... The pict recording isn't downloading, strange. Oh well I'll try again later.
PERSONAL ENRTY:
I have just been attacked by the trecherous and dishonourable pirate Yakumo-Sarutobi, a Blood Dragon raider in the Tau 23 syestem where I was escorting the police transport NULLIUS_REX. After a feirce fire fight I was forced to reatreat after by ship was criticly damaged. I reatreated to the battleship Nagumo for repairs then flew urgently to the transport who told me that after I had reatreated for repairs he had fled into the asteroid field probaly fearing my retribution when I returned! What worries me though is this pirate had me completly out gunned and had a superior ship... This spells bad times for the KFN I am sure. I am sure my homeland has another, improved fighter waiting for me on a remote station somewhere. This somewhat undermines the victory over the Gunboat yesterday however the dragons will pay for this as will Yakumo Sarutob. Masurao out...
PERSONAL ENTRY:
I have come to the conclusion that my defeat to the pirate Yakumo-Sarutobi was caused by inferior equiptment so I have chosen to set out into the far corners of Kusari space in order to hunt down a sheild worthy of the majesty of a Chimaera and to earn enough money to be able to pay for a fully maxed armour upgrade.
I also met a fellow KNF fighter today, a vetran who can help me progress in my training. We waited outside the Honshu jump gate and destroyed hordes of Blood Dragon ships who were attacking shipping and civillian flights, this additional training I am sure has helped me come closer to the true way of the warrior, another factor is that I now have a cargo bay full of Blood Dragon pilots ready for prossesing at the nearest police base. Claiming their bounties will boost my funds considerably. On a somewhat darker note the negotiations with the NovaPG and their pirtae allies begin today. However this is for the greater good and will allow us to concentrate on the more pressing issue of Bretonia. When Bretoina burns we shall fight again. That day shall be soon.
PERSONAL ENTRY:
Today is a great day for personal acheivement. Today I have breached the 350 kills barrier as a pilot of the KNF. These kills have mostly composed of Blood Dragons who have been attacking civillian shipping and GCs who throw themselves foolhardily at stations and trade lanes. I have been fulfiling contracts with the Kusari Police Force to help relations run smoothly. These missions have been partialy responsible for a sudden peak in my kills. I'm going to leave Planet Kyushu now and head back to the Nagumo and run some missions for the Navy again. I really should have visited the folks, I forgot again, I'll definatly visit them on my birthday...

Commander Misa Hiyase walked down the narrow passageway on the Battleship Sado. She still showed a slight limp from her recent combat injury. She had been released from the Infirmary earlier than expected to take command of the KNF's Fighter Squadrons. Her new Commander's insignia still shown brightly in the glaring lights of the passageway.
She knocked at a hatchway, and entered a small but tasteful office. Taisho Chijin sat at his desk. She came smartly to attention. "Cmdr. Hiyase reporting as ordered, Sensei!"
"Be at ease, Misa-san. You look well today. I wished to ask if you had read the logs of this young Ensign, Tomomasa Li..?"
"Yes, Sensei. He was fortunate to escape from Bretonia with his life. He is eager for revenge."
"So it appears, Misa. His eagerness impresses me greatly; but it pains this old heart to think that he will be sent yet again to risk possible injury and death for the Emperor.
"Train him well, Commander! We must give these new recruits every opportunity for survival and success. It is the least we can do."
"Hai, Sensei. Rest assured he will be ready for combat when the time comes!" With that, Cmdr. Hiyase saluted smartly and strode briskly from the office.
Chijin leaned back in his chair, and sighed. "May the Gods grant that we will all be ready."

Well today has been fairly uneventful. I did manage to find a class 10 shield though. That should even the odds slightly! Just checking my rep card I was horrifyed to find that due to my constant persicution of outcasts and other Kusari based criminal elements the corsairs have moved up to green status. Such criminal elements have no place in the KNF exept on the end of a gun barrel. I shall begin a purging of the corsairs so I may honourably take my place with the KNF once again. I shall suspend all entries untill the Corsairs are back in their rightful place: status red.

well my self imposed exile is now over... the twirling wrecks of burnt out corsair ships tell the tale. The corsairs in the Kusari syestems seem ignorant. They belive they are invinsible, and that the navy cannot touch them. Their so called supierior ships are now just a little more scrap metal for the Hogsha and junkers to fight over.

I am today slightly shocked... A agent of the Katana wing approached me and
offered me a position... I am lead to wonder what has promped such a elite
wing to choose me a humble ensign to join them in a defence of the blue lagoon.
Outside New Tokyo I was tested in mind, body and soul. I was asked to
eliminate the agents shields but was unable to do so due to my weapons being
inept at wearing down the advanced shield of the gunboat he was piloting. (I
should buy a greater variety of weapons... Mine are currently aimed towards
the destruction of hull and inefective against shields...) The second test. I had
to see how long I could avoid his fire, I used my afterburners to great effect
and weaved around the nearby station preventing him to get a lock on me.
Finaly he gave me a situation where two traders had fired on each other,
with both claiming the other started the fight. I replied I would fine both for
breaching the peace. He seemed pleased with my results and said that Command
would add the prestigios -K- to my name that represented the Katana wing...
My parents will be proud, I should visit them soon...

I'm taking some leave soon to finaly see the parents. They haven't seen me since I left Planet Kyushu in the begining... I've kept in regular contact but I just havent found the ti- Huh? There's a emergency frequency broadcast on the radio. Signing off to investigate.

There are multiple contacts engaging the trasport! Combined force of Blood Dragons and Golden Crysanthums. All escorts are down and the transport appears to have been boarded, fires have errupted from serveral areas... Requesting backup. All chanels! Requesting back up!

The majority of fighters have been downed. The pirate ship docked with the trasport is disengaging... Persuing. I've taken out the pirate ship's shields . I will now request a surrender and that the pilot ejects for questioning. Dammit! She turning, she's going to ram! Damn those Golde@!#]./

The transport ship is criticaly damaged. It's communications are down so it's essensial I get a repair ship to tow it back to Planet Kyushu imedietely, get repairs and ask the captain why the hell a whole pirate battlegroup was attacking him! I need repairs myself from when that Golden Crysanthum nut-case rammed me and self-destructed. Signing off.

Well the transport is back in dry dock. Thats one thing. I still don't get what happened when that pirate was onboard though. The 'captain' says he dosn't remember a thing, and the whole crew of innocent civlians were butchered in the attack. No witnesses. How conveinient. I have my suspicions that the so called captain is acctually a imposter left behing by the pirates. However it's just a hunch, and I'm suffering the bane of law-enforcers everywhere: I have no evidence. I really want to take the captain for a stroll down to one of the many interrogation cells for questioning and a few volts but I've been told to stand down by command. I can't even cross-reference the original captains name against the man claiming to be the ships captain down in the docks now! It's all because Samura have classifyed the ship and it's contents. 'Contents' includes crew- whatever that ship was hauling, it must have been important. They had no escorts (probaly to make the ship less noticable) and wern't even following the tradelanes- when I found them they were off behind Planet Kyushu, just out of scanner range. (even stranger, I guessed to avoid the long scanner of the law). And if the captain is a imposter, I guess he didn't make off with the cargo because I turned up and had him towed off.
Classifyed, traveling off the tradelanes AND intercepted by a whole pirate battle group! This is weird and stinks of conspiricy. If the captain is a imposter i'll just have to wait for him to show his hand. This isn't a good situation. Posing as a lawful trader there's no end of damage this imposter could do! All I can say is I hope someone in command belives me before it's too late.
Oh yeah, and I finally visited my parents! I took agvantage of my being on Kyushu for a few days and dropped in. They seem amazed and impressed with my actions. No doubt they will be filling in the neigbors with tales of my adventures for days... Aw well, the parents will be parents and it's good to be back home for some much needed R&R.

Well I've been called back to duty halfway through my R&R period. That's annoying. Anyway I best check in at the Nagumo to see what's going on. I wonder if it has anything to do with that transport. Maybe command are going to let me bring that captain in for questioning... I can only hope. I best head back to the good ol' Chimeara for the quick trade lane hop back to my quarters then.
