The Parasite... - Szerano - 03-12-2010 Within minutes it began spreading. A burning sensation within my legs and arms. It could not be stopped or repelled. I could feel it eating my skin and bone in great gulps as if...alive. I covered my mouth and I choked up blood viciously. Looking down at what was in my hand I could only stare in disbelief. A black twitching substance, bubbling only on the surface. "This is what you wanted yessss? Thissss is what you will become...." I looked back at my past, trying to find something that went wrong. An average day and time. Nothing special...that is until IT fell, from who cares where, it is eating me as of now...life as I know of it...gone...Looking to the castle to my left...I had almost made it to my destination...but that will be taken from me... "Lucia....Lucia I'm..I'm sorry..." Falling down I collapsed for a while...I woke with nothing to look at but white and gray. My new form nothing but sludge with no bones. "You will come to like thisss, won't you? It is...after all...what you wanted..." I looked at the world with new eyes. With nothing to guide me, I took my first step and collapsed, my body tumbling over me in the strangest way..."Come my friend...we have to meet someone don't we?" 'Lucia? But...how? I'm still alive?' "My friend you have the attention span of a moth right now, let's just move forward hmm?" 'You lead the way...' After what seemed like an eternity, we reached the castle. It's walls looming over me with a fearsome look. Even if it had no face... "Walk right through the front why don't you? Heh this will be an easy scale for you..." It was about this time I had no mouth...so it seems the creature was the only way to communicate to others...'I must...see Lucia...' "No way mate...she won't like the state your in now...hell no..." 'But I must! We are...meant for each other!' "You don't actually believe that do you?" I turned the mess of a body right and stared at the entrance..."Mate you won't make it trust me..." I lift my now universal foot and bend it as if to make a needle like leg. Then I form the other part of the thing into another one and step by slow step...I walk for the entrance..."You must turn back kid...your not in any type of condi-" 'Shut up, I'm fine.' Upon reaching the entrance, the guards flee at the sight of me. Strange, I cannot look that bad right? Getting tired of using the makeshift legs, I revert back into my universal foot again and I glide inside... The guards run from me left and right. No one seems to like the way I look except this one kid who stares at me in amazement. It was fortunate for me I knew where she was. 'Lucia...I will come for you...nothing can stop me...not even...this...' I glide my foot up the steps, It it strange how the molecules of my body can work together like this, being able to climb by means choosing which part of my body I want to act as a new base then slowly "shifting" my molecules around till that new base IS the base...it's a complicated new feature to my body and it's harder to do then to explain. I make slow but steady progress up the stairs and I can hear voices...mmm, I must be lucky since it seems that during the merge I was given the ability to talk to see and to do basic movements while the parasite is capable of just the talking and advanced things. Weird advanced things..."Pay attention kid we are here! The final showdown is here!" Looking up out of my daydream I see her...Lucia... 'Lucia! Lucia! It's me!' "Don't bother kid, I'm the one who is talking here...OI! FOXY LADY!" 'Shut up! Shut up parasite!' "Oi! yeah see this? This is your new man! Yeah you heard me! Come over here why don't you?" 'SHUT UP! Lucia ran, as if I was the last thing she ever wanted to see in her life.....she ran from..me. 'Lu.....lu....LUCIA!!!!!!' "Shut up damn you!" 'THIS IS YOUR FAULT!' With new life in me I ran as fast as I could with almost an unlimited amount of energy to run on I kept going and going. It was days before I finally stopped. "So kid, you...you done...r-running?" 'Shut up' I slouched over a large rock and my body started to stretch and stretch until I fell and the rock went through me.... "Hey hey kid! Watch out body will you?!" 'I cannot believe out of all the stars...that this would happen...' "You asked to be strong and I answered..." 'I WAS TALKING TO THE STARS NOT YOU!' "'Tis a shame kid...oh look a beach! Let's go get up! I got something to show you!" 'What could it possibly be?' "Well since we are together we share memories too...just don't look at mines...not something you want to see.." I tried to connect to him and to see what his memories held...and after a brief push I saw everything. Being a reject ot his family, leaving his entire race to live as a nomad....it was a sad existence of a life. Out of pure luck he found earth....and then me..."Kid! GET OUT OF MY MEMORIES!" 'Fine fine....what is it you want to show me?' "Oh don't worry, you'll see...let's move though! We don't have much time before we turn into a puddle!" I pulled my body together into a ball then by turning the middle axis of my body and keeping the rest of my body still I was able to make a wheel of sorts... "Hey not bad kid, you learn quick! I guess it's the memory sharing at work hmm?" 'Let's just hurry, being a puddle don't sound like a good thing...' "Fix that grammar kid, I don't appreciate bad grammar.." 'SHUT UP! TRYING TO ACT LIKE MY THIRD GRADE TEACHER ARE YOU?!' "YES AND YOU WILL LIKE IT HAHA!" After arguing and rolling for minutes we finally reached the sand. It felt nice and wondrous on my ..."foot"... but it seems the parasite had other things on his mind to notice..."where is one....where is one..." 'What are we looking for?' "Crabs..." 'WHAT?! That's it! I want out!' I thrash left and right and bits of my body are thrown left and right. I roll over the sand endlessly stuck in this boy of black...goo...the parasite sat back and said nothing he whole time...'I want out! I want out! This cannot be happening to me!' Tears of black fall from my face which I had no idea of what it looked like. I cry and cry but it seemed as if I could do it forever. After a few minutes I realized why. My "tears" were molecules of my body, and when I cried they dropped to the ground and came back into my body....as if I was just one collation of cells or molecules working together for a common goal..."You done yet kid?" 'Shut up this is your fault!' "We have been over this already...tell you what help me get a crab and I'll show you something cool..." 'Does it involve you leaving me alone?' "Not even the god's can help you with that one mate..." 'Crabs? Gods? We'd only been attacked for a few days and he was learning things at an exceptional rate...' "Yeah I'm a fast learner now move or I'll do it for you!" 'Fine then. Move me. You forget I control all the movements of this body?' "Yeah yeah don't remind me' As if by instinct the cells banded together and formed six legs and I had no control over them. 'What is going on?' "I took body control lessons boy, you control the basic movements, thoughts and being annoying. I control the advanced body movements and the talking and being the cool guy...yeah cool guy..funny now that we are going into water isn't it?" 'NO! I DEMAND YOU STOP NOW!' "Relax kid, your still new to this game. Sit back and learn first..." My body was fast underwater, the parasite must of had a lot of practice as he found what he was looking for in no time. A HUGE CRAB. 'Wha-what are you d-doing?! Th-that thing will kill us!' "Jusss waaaatch kiiiid" Within a second he moved our body over the crab. We stretched our body longer and longer until we covered the entire crab. I thrased about as it tried to get free but the parasite held strong. Within moments it stopped moving. Either tired or just waiting for our move, but it sure wasn't dead. "Ooookeh kuuud, Beeee carefuuuuul noww thissss willl beeee ugggly..." Within that instant life itself became the most important thing in the world. The crab mercilessly pushed and tried to get free, what had happened? Why not trying to fight back so hard? I tried the one thing that I was unsure it if would work, but tried anyway. I pushed my head back....back....back then I twisted it around! In my human body I should have been killed by such a manever but I felt nothing at all! No pain! Nothing! Like I could do that a hundred times and not even break a sweat! As I peered into the body I looked within the mesh of red and black and understood why the crab was soo mad or rather so hurt...the walls of my body has changed into spikes and has penetrated the shell of the crab easily..."Time to put this thing out of it's misery..." A large spike came past my face and struck the crab right in between the eyes...IT tried to escape even more now but as the spike moved in deeper, the crab slowed down it's movements more and more until finally...it lay still as a rock..."Now time to clean it out..." I watched in horror as my cells moved inside it's mouth and started "ejecting" parts of the crab's brains...organs...even it's muscles and fat...'What...are you....doing...' "Rellaaaax kuud garb, weee got to garbbb, GETTT OUSSS OUTT OF THIS WAAAATURRR!" 'Fine...' I moved our body back in the direction of the beach but tried to leave the crab where it was. The parasite had other plans as it used a hook like makeup of a part of my cells to drag the crab behind us. "Stuup suyin may culls...wue shar them." '...Jerk...' We finally made it on the beach ans the large crab was shelled out. "There we go! Now, let's do this..." 'Do what?' "Watch..." Some of my cells wrapped around the crab and ripped off it's body from the legs, then basically launched the crab body back into the ocean, and like a fitting glove, the cells slid into the crab leg...shells...thing... "Ah now we have a weapon..." 'ALL THAT WORK FOR THIS?!' "What? I thought you'd love to know we can change our body like this, these legs can now be maintained by us can will be able to regenerate if they break...cool huh?" 'I felt and watched a crab die in my own body and your PROUD of that?!' "Hey it could be worse...could have been...her..." 'We need...to get away from earth...' Soldier: "HOLY, SHI-! We need backup at alpha-12 now!" I turned my body around to look at the soldier who stood before me with his gun raised and apparently loaded too...'Hey there officer...I'm just....I'm infected....I'm not feeling well is all..' The soldier ran, he probably knew his chances were limited in fighting us anyway...not that I'd want to fight him...ever hit I take we both feel... "Well well, it's about that time..." 'What?' The parasite created a arm again and moved it in a rectangular fashion and a rectangle shaped line of my cells were left behind. Within it...I could see...myself... "There you go mate, how do we look?" I stumbled backwards as I looked at myself...'This cannot be happening...' "Not this again dammit, look more soldiers are coming we have to get out of here..." 'HOW?! This is all your fault, you do something!' "Fine I will!" The parasite brought out a arm again and created a small dot. "There..." 'WHAT IS THAT GOING TO DO-' The dot widened larger and larger until it became what looked to be...a small black hole?! "Random hole, a thing my kind can do. It will randomly drop you anywhere...heh just don't ask where you want to be dropped tho..." 'I'm not getting in that!' "Oh yes you are!" 'I'm not moving I'll just wait for the soldiers to end my pain and kill us both right now...' "Look once they find out we cannot be harmed by bullet- look forget it!" By command of the parasite, eight legs sprouted and started to move in a squid-like fashion. "You like? I got it from you..." 'Don't remind me...' Minutes later we reached out destination. We could see the object clearer now but something was wrong. This looked very familiar..."Mhmm...you should remember it..." Getting closer I finally realized what it was...'A SHARK!?' "Aye..." 'But...but how?! We were on a beach! Not the ocean!' "Ah you see sometimes when two of my kind cross each other using this...black hole...we have to create a pocket of protection. Neither party will know we crossed each other unless something like this shows up. You see these pockets can appear anywhere..but that's why it's only used once...this poor creature has to suffer for our means of protection...OH WELL! DINNAH TIME!" My body fly at the shark and devoured it before I could object. The speed and power of my new body was simply amazing..."Mmm want to try? I know you cannot eat anymore and all..." 'What? What do you mean I cannot eat anymore?!' "I thought you knew with the running for several days episode and all that..." I used one of the arms I could control to rub what could hav been my stomach. He was right...I hadn't eaten in days..."Well you want some?" 'I wouldn't eat any of that-' The black hole ended and as I looked around in utter amazement I found myself in space... 'Ack! Guh! Auk! I was able to shift my eyes away from the dead body (without moving my head!) and was able to look at the system or galaxy or whatever we were in...It was utterly beautiful, a wondrous sight to behold. It wasn't long before I noticed the black...."Tears" falling from my eyes again, they drifted out to space and then slowly came back. With so much to take in for the past few days I finally had peace but didn't want it. Ternokune said nothing as he continued to pray I guess...but in all of this I was finally coming to terms with the new "me" and didn't like it. Hours stretched on to days and the body started to smell awful..."IT....is time..." 'What are we going to do? Wrap it in cloth or something?' "In my kind's belief's there is a place we can go to...like your heaven...we shall send him there my way...are you ok with that?" 'Sure..' The place seemed to stretch on forever, and it was starting to dawn on me it might take us my normal lifetime before we'd reach anything... "Oh yeah forgot to activate the umm...cruise drive was it? Ah well here we go!" Ternokune pushed a button and we heard the engine start to build up power. "Hmm...did I do something wrong?" With a large blast we flew even faster, our body was compressed against the chair of the machine as we couldn't hold our body firm. 'Way too fast!' "Nonsense! We are doing just fine...I think!" 'Stop it now!' "Why? Isn't this exciting?" I looked over to the left scared to hell and I saw a planet I didn't notice before, it blended in with the surroundings well. 'Umm we might hit something...' "What makes you say that?" 'Well I just noticed a planet that I didn't notice before so...' I turned my-our head and looked in-front of us. 'BUILDING!' "What? A sat in utter amazement of the sophisticated place. Fighters flocked left and right and we were moving so fast we didn't notice them. Within minutes they force-ably landed our machine and opened the door. No one was able to see us. To them it was just an empty machine and I don't think they liked it...people walked around shaking their heads in dismay. "Mon ami, I think you need a break from patrols.." "But I swear! We all heard him! Both of them!" "Relax and go have a break ok? You and your crew need it..." "Oui sir..." We slivered under the seat, as sitting directly behind it became boring for me. I needed to see these new people, perhaps they could help me? Ternokune (whisper): "She ran out on you remember? I can control this body wholly if I want to, don't make me force you..." 'Oh really?' Ternokune (whisper): "Yeah watch me..." The Parasite... - Szerano - 03-16-2010 Time stretched on as Ternokune and I fought over control of our new body. It wasn't long before he started to show his real power. As if I under a spell I began to fall asleep and I could feel Ternokune slowly gain control of the rest of the body functions I was unable to control. "Told you kid...need to trust....more..." I started to lose sense of reality itself and I slowly fell into a deep sleep...'I'm....going to..to...' Ternokune (whisper): "Sleep mate...your going to sleep while a got try to rape that girl with no man parts..." 'Damn...you..' Ternokune waited from the rest of his little sleeper byproduct in his membrane to finish it's work. The poor kid knew so little of him it was sad...all this time he could have been learning about his new "life policy" but instead chose to complain. It was almost a new feel to Ternokune as the rest of the command for his body return to his control. It would be a while until the kid would wake up again....every second counts... Ternokune quickly rushed up into the ventilation system, it was the last place anyone would expect him. He kept his eye on his prey, the lone woman walking through the station, ignoring everyone else it was a piece of cake to stalk her. Learning the in and out of the maze was easy. He'd done this before many times and it wasn't the first time he's have to hide in a small space. Time was counting down and Ternokun he would have to make a move soon, but the woman left little chances for a surprise attack. She WAs in her own territory mind you. Certain parts of the ventilation maze was guarded but Ternokune wasn't going to give up so easily. That was the last thing on his mind. With little effort he stretched his body into a thin line and slipped right past the traps. Pretty soon, his target entered a small room and locked herself in...'Now is my chance...." Ternokune flattened his body to the surface ans much as he could and slithered down into the room. He kept his eyes on his target as he moved into her blind spots. She was taking off her clothes, so he was probably in one of the dressing rooms...a perfect opportunity...Sticking to the wall there was little he was able to hide behind so he knew he'd have to make a move quickly or suffer being found. Ternokune quietly spread his body and slowly but surely wrapped his body around the room. 'You will be mine...' Just as he was able to full encompass the room a a loud knock was heard. One of the weird soldiers was heard. Soldier: "Joinile! Hurry up your late!" Joinile: "I'm be out in a-..." Silence stretched on she stared at Ternokune who now encompassed half the room. Joinile: "Hey I didn't know you painted this room." Solider: "We didn't by my knowledge..." Joinile: "Your kidding me oui? This room was clearly painted recently..." Soldier: "Get out of the room now!" Joinile: "Why..." The woman started to notice the so called "Paint" was dripping... Joinile: "What the..." With that Ternokune had no choice but to capture her...He quickly finished wrapping himself around the room. Ternokune: "You are trapped...my sweet..." Joinile: "What the hell are you?!" Ternokune: "Your worst nightmare..." Ternokune took his time thinking about how to treat his new play toy, the girl had no idea what was going on and the soldiers outside were trying to bang their way inside...if only they knew the door was being blocked...Ternokune: "You have no chance to escape....you cannot be heard anymore...you are a part of my new collection...One you survive that is..." Joinile: "Survive what?" Ternokune: "Survive what I'm able to do, think of it like initiation to a new club.." Joinile: "You think I'll listen to you and your crap?" Ternokune: "I don't expect you to...but fun is all I live for now..." Ternokune created some arms and held the girl in place. He had fun with that the most considering she struggles so hard. He held her down and she fought fiercely. With tears in her eyes, she started to beg for mercy. Which made his job even easier...He created another arm and secretly added a single drop of his cells in her ear and she noticed nothing. (PAK PAK PAK!) Pain seared into his body. Those idiots outside had started to resort to using guns to get in. 'I won't last much longer if the use explosives...' Without wasting time he wrapped around the girl and the door to the room fell down as if Ternokune was the only reason it was standing. Solider: "Joinile!" Ternokune used the cell now in her brain to emit a bit of the sleeper byproduct to knock her out. Ternokune: "If you want her to live, leave me alone oui?" Ternokune started to move forward with the woman, she was terrified and the soldiers seemed to be in kill mode. Soldier: "Drop the girl!" Ternokune: "Make me!" Soldier: "Drop her now!" Ternokune: "Back off! You want her brains on you?" Joinile: "He...it's un-armed kill him..it!" Ternokune: "I wouldn't do that now..." Ternokune brought up one of the crab legs we obtained earlier. The were covered with body cells and looked closely to a black type of knife. Ternokune: "I'm well armed...no back up please.." Soldier: "We aren't letting you go anywhere..." Ternokune: "So be it..." Ternokune cut the back of the womans shirt, it fells quiet easily. He then threw her at the soldiers. With quick movements, he made it in the ventilation system again. Soldier: "Find it! Kill it! now!" Ternokune (whisper): "So long my little flower...till next time..." Ternokune quickly scurried back to the hangar area. It was still crowded as ever. Now it was worse, with everyone knowing he was an intruder, it wouldn't be long before they find him...and kill him...the old fashioned way...Ternokune scurried back and considered his options...a blast of wind cam from the right nearly blowing him away. Ternokune (whisper): "Those fools might be trying to flush me out...who knows what else they will do..." A idea came to mind. And idea he hoped they wouldn't try. Ternokune flattened his body against the flat surface again and quickly moved towards the wind. With his body posing no resistance, he easly found his way moving through the shafts. A stunning feeling came to him. The humans was waking up, it wouldn't be long now before he lost all control over the basic movements of the body....and that wasn't a good thing in this situation... I start to wake up with a snap here and there, I can hear the parasite moving the body. Man, if he had never put me to sleep...I wouldn't know what drives him today....his unfortunate situation what happened on his home world....as the parasite continued to move...I couldn't help but reflect back to what I had learned. It was a few years ago, Ternokune had just been accepted into a military training program. Their ways of training were unlike anything I had seen. With more natural movements then trained ones, I felt and watched as he moves between obstacle after obstacle with ease. The ones that stood out the most was a spiral box with only a eye ball sized entry point and exit point but that wasn't the worse of it. He had to squeeze through there and out the other side while avoiding spines within the space and get out without leaving a "piece" of himself behind/ It was a brutal training place. Above all, it was the treatment of their women that was most disturbing. They used them fr sex and target practice that was it. If you were born what was considered a female in their home world. You were basically never to see light after you gave birth. What would be considered teen-age girls would e force to care for the children. Some having to deal with three to four squids at a time. It only got worse after that. Once you became of fertile age, you were used like prey in the military's training area. Stalked until your heart cannot take anymore, raped and killed. Ternokune apparently was the first and only one to stand up to this abomination of a life. But no one shared his thoughts, and soon he was considered and outcast...after that? Exiled... 'Let me handle it...' Ternokune (whisper): "Kid? Awake already?" 'I never feel asleep...I was just looking through your memories...learning...' Ternokune (whisper): "Smarter then I thought..." With no more control over my body, the kid started to move us back towards the hangar. Ternokune (whisper): "Trust?" 'Trust...' We made it there faster then I could think he could manage. 'Watch this..' To my surpirse the kid split my body into several parts. I was unable to talk but I guess it was a side-effect. I just hoped the kid's plan to escape would work... With many separate parts of the body now I was curious to what he would do next. Looking at myself with two different angles was confusing but I guess the kid had gone through my training? Or perhaps he saw something from my past? As many questions started coming into my head or..heads...the kid made his move. He spread the new blobs left and right. Two were noticed and the rest headed right for our machine. I utterly stunned at his efficiency change. From barely being able to walk to now, pulling off a complicated maneuver I wouldn't have thought of... Most of the lobs reached the seat of the machine relatively easy, the rest of "us" were busy distracting the soldiers who were shooting wildly trying to kill us...fools... The blobs that made it safely merged back together and I was able to make some arms. Using the knowledge of guy I killed I was able to start the machine. I looked back to call the rest of "me"....oh no........one of the soldiers....had fire... Instant pain as the fire burned my flesh. What was this? I was able to survive being shot but not fire?! I did my best to call back the rest of the separated parts. They barely made it back. Those soldiers really wanted me dead. 'Let's get out of here' Ternokune: "I'm on it!" The doors of the station started to close. 'Hurry..' Ternokune: "Don't push me..." Finally Ternokune was able to get the thing to fly. We made it with time to spare but we wasn't alone. Some of the other machines were coming after us. 'We need to move...' Ternokune: "Only one way to do that..." '...do it...' With a new rush the machine accelerated and ditched those machines in no time. 'Phew...' Ternokune: "Good work...I couldn't have done it without you..." 'You either..' We let our body be crushed by the speed of our new machine. Utterly relieved, untill...(BWSSSSOM!) We started to slow down...'What's going on?' Ternokune: "I think they stopped us again..." 'Get this thing moving again!' Ternokune: "Trying..." Union Course leader Terna: "Bonjour! Remember me?" Ternokune flipped the comms receiver switch: "Oh hi again...you brought friends?" Union Course leader Terna: "Of course mon ami! Now you will pay for what you did to Joinile!" Ternokune: "Do your freinds usually have different colors then you?" Union Course leader Terna: "What are you talking about? Ah forget it die!" Ternokune sat back. 'Run!' Ternokune: "We cannot friend they will stop us again. No hope kid..." 'Your just going to give up?!' Ternokune: "Nothing I can do about it..." 'Your useless..' Ternokune: "Oh look, their friends are fight them union people." Ternokune turned the machine around and we watched as black and white machines started shooting the union course machines. It was an easy defeat for them with the black and white vessels having a bigger machine... Ternokune: "Let's get out of here shall we?" 'Yeah...' Without being stopped again Ternokune was able to make an easy escape...Ternokune: "Ah I know how they are able to track us..." 'How?' Ternokune: "Their machine...so they probably have a more advanced tracter or something?" 'Possible...' Ternokune: "And their mmaps are flat...wonder if they can find us if we go "under" their map?" 'How do you know about their maps?' "It's right here see?" Ternokune had found some type of map on the machine. I wouldn't have noticed it before due to it being mostly blue... Ternokune: "Let's fly under their map...if they try to follow us...we might be too far under for them to catch..." 'Good idea...but can I ask you something?' Ternokune: "Sure..." 'Next time can I come up with a plan?'
