Im a newb, and i apologize if this post is in the wrong spot, but I was hoping some one could help me out. Ive been tryin to make money as a trader, and its not going that bad, im makin profit, but not much. I want to join a large faction, and take part in the major naval conflicts, ie fleet battles. Can anyone give me a few pointers just to send me in the right direction? I'd like to get myself into a small destroyer or even a cruiser. I dont expect anyone to "spell it out for me", just help me head the right direction. Im in rheinland right now, flyin around in my x-shuttle, which doesnt seem like a bad ship. But I'll sell it all to buy my way into a fleet. Trade doesnt interest me, cap ship combat does!

Get a Large train for 46 mill, and then trade for it until you have around 130 mill. Then you could buy and outfit a cruiser:)

Well if you want Naval conflict the factions to look at are the RM(Rhienland Military), SA(Liberty Navy),KNF(Kusari Naval Forces), or SF(Bretonia Armed Forces). That's if your wanting to be lawful, if you want unlawful you go to TBH(Corsairs) or HF(Lane Hackers). If you need help finding these guys just PM me and I'll see what I can do.

Most clans offer some sort of Cap-ship combat.
If you want to be on the Lawful side, the [SF]-Sirius Federation (Bretonian), [KNF]-Kusari Naval Forces (Kusari), [RM]-Rhienland Military (Rhienland), [SA]-South Army (Liberty) are the way to go.
If you want to be unlawful...[HC]-Hackers, [NovaPG]-Dragons, [Bushido]-GC, 101st-Outcasts....all offer combat in Capital ships.
Avoid Corsair factions. Because we have no decent cruiser, the biggest ship you'll be allowed in is a Gunboat, unless you work you're way up ranks over a very long period of time.
Of course, if youre love is not to fly a Capital ship, but to kill them, Corsairs are an option..and so are the .:UOG:. Mollys.

Some of those factions are invite only...... and some of the names are wrong too... 101st, NovaPG, and Bushido(I believe) are all invite who only send invations to those who have RP they hold in high respects.

Helghast the biggest allowed are gunboats.
However if you wish to join there are more than enough opportunities to kill other peoples cap shps.

I've never joined these factions, so I wouldn't know. He should have something he can aim for, or aspire to be.
Next time, I'll not bother giving useful or reasonable advice...I'll just say "join my clan!" like I'm sure a good chunk of you would.
