It makes me confident that we have men like him serving in our military." Professor Arnold Lee Chennoith Paperwork on File None Living Family Mother, Father, and two younger sisters; All trapped in another Demension History: Jayce Wilder was born to Jayce Wilder Jr. and Alexandra Wilder on August 18th, approx. 180 years from the Discovery year. He was in a completly other demension from this one. On his 4th birthday, Bretonia was destroyed by the Zeta. Ruthlessly attacking any Human or Nomad ship that ventured close to the Bretonia systems. A few years later, on his 8th birthday, Kusari was taken over by the Nomads and then even later, Omicron Alpha was completly destroyed by the Nomad and Zeta fighting continously. The Outcasts were forced to flee the Omicron and Tau systems into the Sigmas where further violence escilated between Corsair and Outcast forces, tearing the Sigmas apart. On his 17th birthday, he signed up with a group named the "Freedom Fighters". A Liberty Navy outfit created to battle the Zeta and Nomad threat in the Omicron and house systems. By his 20th birthday, he has excelled in piloting skills and command traits. He was promoted twice with in a period of a year to Fleet Captain, the youngest in history, where he remained for two years until proceeding on to Admiral. He obtained his Physics degree in Space/Time research and was awarded the title of "Doctor Jayce Wilder" on his 22nd birthday. When he was 24, his world was turned upside down for good. He was tasked for a suicide mission to Omicron Alpha to destroy the sun there and cause a chain reaction that in theroy, would stop Nomad and Zeta attacks long enough for Mankind to regroup and push them back for good. However, something went wrong on the other side, and Admiral Wilder and the LNS Avalanche were pulled through into another demension where he met an Admiral Marcus Scarman. He explained that his people had used a Space/Time Manulipator that caused a rift across several demensions and times. When a Nomad infested Avalanche from another realm attacked, Admiral Wilder had no other way to take it out and rammed the enemy ship with his own. Hoping his people would be transported over to Admiral Scarman's ship safely, however something went wrong with the transporter lock, and he was the only survivor of 160 crew members on board. Shortly after the crisis was resolved with the device, Admiral Wilder rode along with Admiral Scarman where he met Fleet Admiral Merlow, and was comissioned as an Admiral in the Freedom Fighters in that demension. When Wilder's ship was caught in a time-dilation field and he attempted to jump out of it via subspace drive, his ship was once again, flung into another distant dimension, now located in the realm of Discovery. With no real place to go after this, Wilder and his crew joined up with the Order, commanding an advanced Order "Hawthor" Gunship. With his knowledge of space/time and his knowledge of the future, he aims to prevent the events of his time by thwarting the destruction of Bretonia by the Zeta, and stopping the Nomad push into Kusari. His knowledge of the future technologies also help benefit him, as he has advanced his destroyer to the point that the ship is a multi-trillion credit piece of technology. Admiral Wilder roams the rim systems of Sirius, always looking for that signal from the Freedom Fighters, Fleet Admiral Merlow, or Admiral Scarman, hoping that one day he will be able to reunite with them...and prevent the events of the future... * * * OSV-Valor Crew Compliment 40 Class Gunship/Scout Weapons Systems Zeta/Nomad/Order Weapons Defensive Systems Armor System*, upgraded shield system, Zeta nanite technology Power Systems Reverse engineered Nomad Power Cells/Zeta Buffer Controls Engine Systems Enhanced Hyperdrive, Zeta Crystal Ion Drive Further Notes * - Armor system is a recent addition any vessel currently in Sirius space. The technology is 180 years from the future and has aided Admiral Wilder in almost every conflict with Zeta or Nomad. The system strengthens the armor plating on a ship to almost 225 times it's normal hull strength when activated. Doing so drops the shields however because of the amount of power required to release the hull plating. When the device is activated, the entire ship is coated in a dark grey shell like material. The ship can then take massive amounts of weapons fire with out being signifigantly damaged. However, the armor plating takes a lot of power to function and stay plated to the ship, thus the armor is used only in last ditch efforts to escape hostiles or damaging spacial storms. Thown to the Wind - Leo - 03-19-2010 What is a Zeta? From the Biography above A Zeta is basically a humanoid evolved in a distant part of the galaxy. The Zeta were captured by the Ancients and used as war machines...however, they rebelled because they had free thought and emotion. This caused them to dislike being enslaved, and they killed almost half of the Ancients on their own home planet during the rebellion. A Zeta is made up of the almost all the same parts as a Human. All the vital organs are all in the same place, however, the only thing that can really stop them, is a metal named Klozine, a substance found in Ancient metal, the metal used to control Zeta. This metal is like posion to them, and stops them in their tracks. It causes a chemical reaction in the blood of a Zeta, stopping all bloodflow, and causing them to lose control of their nervous system functions. The Zeta are tied directly into the Space/Time Subspace continuum, and their energy signal, which can be slightly sensed by other Zeta, puts a dent on this continuum. This allows the Zeta to see one another across lightyears of space, most of the time the energy signal is symbolic to the personality of the Zeta, allowing them to not only see the dent being placed in space time, but also to see the specfic dent it's causing, allowing them to see who it is causing it. Because the Zeta are tied into Space/Time, they only seem to exist in one demension, and not several as the Humans and Nomads seem to. This causes space time to be different in different places of space. However, because of past events, the Zeta have been scattered across numerous realms of space and time, causing different sects and religions of Zeta. The causes for the Zeta having influence on space/time is derived from that fact that the Zeta evolved next to a rift in space and time, causing their anatomy and other defining aspects to be different from other races. The further they get from this rift, the longer they tend to live. A Zeta is, as stated before, similar in apparence to a human with a few defining features. Their hair color is almost always Jet Black, expect in some very rare cases there has been known to been blonde and brown. The eye color is always blood red, which is the trademark appearance of their race. When angered or aggitated, the eyes morph to a type of cat like eye with slits running down the middle. They begin to glow bright red when angered as well, all Zeta say that when the eyes begin to glow, it almost hurts. Typically, the changing of the iris's is a left over from their evolution when they were hunters on their home planet, before their enslavement by the Ancients. The Zeta's teeth layout is identical to a humanoids with the exception of additional teeth in the upper and lower gums that are sharp canines and only come out when angered, this is an evolution in their race when they temporarly reverted back to primitave creatures after the Ancients fled Uziel and the Zeta had control of the planet for 200 years. However, the primatative period of the Zeta only lasted for 50 years, soon after that the Zeta began finding old traces of Ancient technology at the capital, and designed new starships, enabling them to chart space. A Zeta has several abilities that humans do not as a result of evolving so near a time/space rift, these abilities are: Telepathy - The ability to speak thoughts to the reciever, all races can recieve telepathic thoughts, however, many lack the ability to send any back. Telekinesis - The ability to force energy through the hands or any part of the body. This small burst of energy can many times hurl the target several hundred feet. Very rare gift for Zeta. Strength - The Zeta's muscles are much more developed and defined, possibly as a result of evolution. A very well build Zeta can posess the same strength as about 20 men, on average, a Zeta is about as strong as 5-10 men. Orgins The Zeta appeared in Sirius space some odd 100 years after the current Discovery storyline. Their true orgins are a mystery to the rest of Sirius. Why they came to Sirius and began exterminating humanity is also, a mystery. However, their technological advances gives them a large advantage over mankind. There are therories and speculation of where the Zeta originated, but no hard proof has been determined as of yet. Because of the Zeta's infulence over space/time, their orgins would be hard to find indeed. Religion They practice a single religion that does not believe in any kind of "god", they respect and worship their ancestors and elders most, believing that they are the only defining factor in their way of life. The "clan" leader of a pack of Zeta is considered to be not a god, but a very wise leader, the lower castes worship this leader. Thus, the Zeta follow their every command. However, the "main" clan, which is that of the Zeta named "Raziel" (the clan whom do not consider humans hostile and are allies with them), do not worship their leader, they only pay tribute to their ancestors. They are the only clan that do not worship their leader, but use a more military style structure through out the entire clan, soldier and civilian both. Thown to the Wind - Leo - 03-19-2010 Wilder climbed out of the small shower aboard the Path of Valor. The ship was cramped at best, but it was fast as it was powerful. Its stealth systems could cloak them on sensors for a limited amount of time, but with the speed and agility of the ship itself, the length of time that it lasted was more than enough. The Order had commissioned it specifically to Jayce's needs, much to his pleasure. The vessel was IFF Tagged and ID as Order Guard; however, he felt that he ran outside of their control. He respected their rank structure and what not, but he felt that he was still an Admiral in the Freedom Fighters even though they had long sense faded to the back of his mind. Often, lately, his mind wandered to Marcus Scarman and Robert Merlow, where they had gone...where they were now and if they were surviving in their own respective universes. He wondered if they were looking for him or if they had decided it was a lost cause...damn those Zeta and their constant tinkering with space/time, that's the reason he was here now. If it weren't for their experiments with time dilation devices, he wouldn't have been forced to use subspace engines to jump out, which wouldn't have flung him into another universe all over again. But, now wasn't the time to cry over spilt milk. "Admiral, we have a spacial rift on scanners, it appeared out of nowhere, and it's growing very slowly, please advise." said the comm. Captain Anders, who was once a Freedom Fighter as most of the crew aboard the ship was. Good man...knew his ships well and could fly anything. "Keep a safe distance, and keep scanners up and ready in case it's a Zeta vessel. Scan them upon entry and verify that they are Raziel's clan, if not, activate stealth systems and get us out of here. If it is any other ship, activate regular cloak and wait for any transmission coming from their vessel. I will be to the bridge soon." "Yes sir, Anders out." Without realizing it, Jayce was excited. This was the first spacial rift that he had found in this universe to date besides the one in Outcast space that he had only gotten a brief glimpse of before the Outcasts there almost tore his small Order gunship apart for being in their space...and what was better, this one was just growing. Jayce exited his room and turned right, immediately entering the bridge. "Status." he said aloud as he stood on the small bridge. "It's growing at approximately 4 microcells per minute sir, we have verified that it is indeed artificial, it is being projected by a ship at the other side." Anders said. "Does it match any known rift type on record? Freedom Fighter? Zeta? Nomad even?" "It matches known Freedom Fighter rift generation...however...it's highly erratic. As if it's being projected by mistake, accident if you will..." "Much like how we came here?" "Yes, sir...or it's the Zeta trying to fake it to look like a Freedom Fighter vessel...and I don't mean the main Zeta fleet..." "You mean the hostile Zeta..." "Yes sir, what should we do?" Jayce stared at the small rift in space tearing open, electricity like sparks jumping around as space and time splintered from one another. "We wait...back us up to approximately 20 clicks from it and cloak the ship there. Once the ship, or whatever it is, passes through, we will either activate stealth systems and run, or we will greet who ever comes through." |
