Hello once again. I'm interested in creating special slot for transport turrets.
I have 3 turrets - 3,6,9 levels.
The slot is hp_turret_special_3, hp_turret_special_6 and hp_turret_special_9.
But these turrets can be installed on fighters. And i don't want it.
How to create special slot?? I renamed slots to hp_tt_3, hp_tt_6 and hp_tt_9 and wrote these slots to transport ships. But... turret began to be installed anywhere!
So, help please.....

We (Discovery developers) don't know how to create new hardpoint types. If you look at the mod, you'll notice that we had to set some of the existing ones apart and just declare them special. So, we have

lvl 1-5 turrets - fighter turrets
lvl 6 turrets - bomber turrets
lvl 7 turrets - transport turrets
lvl 8 turrets - GB turrets
lvl 9 turrets - Cruiser turrets
lvl 10 turrets - Battleship turrets

We wouldn't go to such lengths if we knew how to create new classes.

I cant do such, cuz there aren't capships in my mod, it implies 3 classes of fighters for playing, and thats impossible to make one class of turrets for them.

I mean:
Light fighter I (2x3lvl + 2x4lvl) > Light fighter II (3x6lvl + 2x7lvl) > Light fighter III (4x9lvl + 2x10lvl)
Heavy fighter I (2x3lvl + 4x4lvl) > Heavy fighter II (2x6lvl + 4x7lvl) > Very heavy fighter (2x9lvl + 4x10lvl)

So guns are:
Lvl 1-3 common guns > Lvl 4 special guns > Lvl 5-6 common guns > Lvl 7 special guns > Lvl 8-9 common guns > Lvl 10 special guns
Special guns are Missiles, EMP's, EMPP's, Flak-cannons, Wave disruptors, and Lasers in future.

So, it means lvl 4, 7, 10 are special.
I made same for transports, but i dont want transport turrets being installed on fighters.
