Xenos - horus5 - 09-11-2007 i think it would be great rpif we could get more active players to be xenos and other terrorist but... (correct me if im wrong) i think pll are greatly discouraged to become one for 2 reasons 1.) you can only fly a fighter class 2.) it takes alot of work before the'll like you..and then when they do (ofcourse) not very many factions take to your liking ...just to cap number one..has any one tried engaging a larger class ship in a low class even in one on one you get anniliated everytime..ive tryed multible layouts and what not and the only reason you would survive is if ur incredibly lucky(becuase ive never seen it) and xenos arnt allied with anyone so you cant call on help..not even from npcs not aligned with other like xenos i think the only reason you would want to be one is if you only hunt fighters(which come on rarly do they fly alone or not near support) or if you like getting the tar beat out of you i think the next modd should give xenos something unique to equilize them with everone else just a suggestion;) (when i speak xenos i mean general terrorist) Xenos - Victor - 09-11-2007 Keep in mind that a succesfull Xenos character is feared because of these very same reasons. And there is pilots out there who can take out ships much bigger than themselves.:sleep: Personally, I agree that there might be a lack in the variety of ships available to the Xenos, but to have so many enemies will keep you busy (and that's why we are all here, isn't it) - much fun. But considering that all my characters HATE Xenos... it wouldn't really make much difference to me anyway. Xenos - DBoy1612 - 09-11-2007 No, the Xenos ID and RP is fine how it is. If the ID begins allowing capital ship, you will everybody and their dog flying Xenos Terrorist Battleships. We have enough capship whoring right now, we don't need another reason for it. And to agree with what Victory said, how would they get capital ships? Their bases are to small to build it themselves. Plus they wouldn't have the time to build it with all the enemys they have. So again, Xenos are fine just how they are. Xenos - horus5 - 09-11-2007 i never said that xenos should have balleships..infact i totally support the none whoring aspect (that kinda what i ment by an equilizer) i thought maybe the xenos since there not big enough to grow full BS in rp why not give them some kind of equalizer(not give them whore capibilties :P) at any rate ive tookin up a xeno RPChar to fully exploit the xenos and terrorist plots to find how the mod has been set t up to suit these particular factions sofar i still feel they need something to bring them in the sirus melting pot (I MEAN THIS TO BRING THEM IN TO MORE ACTIVE RP NOT TO MAKE THEM SERVER GODS) i just think terrorist need some thing to make then terrorist (to make them different than pirates) there really isnt any subsantal difference other than terrorist(in my opinion) are less formal about "swinging the bat" Xenos - Malaclypse 666 - 09-11-2007 Look for Prospector, aka Doom. With that ID u can buy bigger ships, but if u want to remain a true Xeno gunboat or a bomber will do u just fine. Also, it isnt true that Xenos dont have allies...they are allies to themselves. My char usually flies with few others and i know for the fact that my GB and 2 or 3 fighters with only Xeno weapons onboard can take much bigger targets. Read some of my thread..there u will see how we killed battleships, cruisers, traders. Name it and we killed it. Xenos need to work together to make things happen. Alone, even in battleship u wont be able to do much. Xenos - horus5 - 09-11-2007 :D thanks for all you'r posts and for all you fellow xenos...i appreicate your devotion to your RP and you input..it really has helped thank you but i still feel they should be givin something disguarding the speical terriorist id heres the offical xenos id ![]() as you can see xenos are really not allowed anything all i can see is potenial in zoners weps and ship minus all very heavy fighters if the server was going to stick to this rp i think that respectivly the xenos should be givin something to give them an edge in sirus especially now that this mod adds bigger better everything to most other factions(navy, major pirates, and all there allies) now there are small factions like the unioners..but they have a major allie..corsairs like all ather small factions they can benifit though these greatly giving them ships and weps where the ship ban ans faction statis of the xenos gives them a severe handicap(in a bad way) towards all of sirus i think this should be looked in to for future mods and changes (mind you i am aware of what they are allowed just in case someone want to post, i know):cool: Xenos - pipsqueak - 09-11-2007 lol, I have an Idea. Make a mine with 200,000 shield damage and 50,000 hull damage. On most cap ships, this means shield faliure and massive hull damage(if two are dropped). Speed = 10 It stays aloft for 30 seconds. 25k per shot Now imagine a Xeno dropping it infront of a trade lane as he sees a cap ship approaching. They will be almost worthless in PvP due to their speed, but lets the Xenos do what they do best. Terrorize and bomb the crap outta biggies. I am not a Terrorist, but I do want to see more variety on the server. This will definately make RP more intense for Caps and transports. Make sure people with only terrorists ID can mount these mines. Call them a "Time Bomb". Xenos - Stoat - 09-11-2007 I like that idea. Huge opportunity for collateral damage if it has a radius blast too. Probably need to cost a lot more than 25k though otherwise too many would get dropped. |
