Civ VHF - DartStriker - 04-08-2010 As of late I've been posting a bunch of new ships up. Currently I need to develop and texture ships for course grades. I enjoy the feed back I get here, so I will continue to post them up unless someone is really upset and wishes me to stop. All of them are designed in a general freelancer style so, you never know when one might be good enough to actually try to get it in the game. Anyways here is another fighter I was working on. Small: Large: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/zeo...er_xe_large.jpg Civ VHF - Bobthemanofsteel - 04-08-2010 Looks nice, seeing a Star Wars influence with my wings. Also my biggest problem with it, they look a little flimsy, and the uhh... rods would be a little troublesome with directional firing. EDIT: With my wings? :S With THOSE wings. Civ VHF - Elsdragon - 04-08-2010 Not if you make the gun completely fit within the tube, actually Civ VHF - Zukeenee - 04-08-2010 Very nice. I like the design, and I think it very well could become a Civilian fighter. Maybe an HF instead of a VHF; I don't see it as being "heavy" enough to be a VHF. And I'd say take the tubes off the wings completely. They look like they're meant to be guns, but with the way we mount guns in Freelancer, they'd just be redundant. Like on the old Bergelmir. Civ VHF - Wolfs Ghost - 04-08-2010 First thought: Klingon Bird of Prey Second Thought: X-wing Final thought: That's a very nice model, not sure if it has the freelancer feel to it seeing how FL has its guns mounted, I'd have to say it'd look good as a Heavy Fighter and/or Light Fighter. Other than that the nose, in my opinion, looks a bit like a Rheinland design. Civ VHF - Bobthemanofsteel - 04-08-2010 My latest thought, perhaps changing the tubes to they're quite small? A certain WWII Plane comes to mind, though I'm not sure which. Civ VHF - kingvaillant - 04-08-2010 I'd say remove or cut short the rods. As for the ship, it indeed looks more like an HF than a VHF when you look at it generally. Although, if you look at the cockpit, it looks like a SHF. I think this issue needs to be addresed. Perhaps you could reduce the size of the rest of the ship, or make the cockpit bigger. Extremely nice general design though Civ VHF - jxie93 - 04-08-2010 Do want. Civ VHF - n00bl3t - 04-08-2010 Nice model. I really like the centre bit of it.:D The wings are bulky enough, but perhaps a tad more to them? (I am unsure how to describe this.) Also, definitely cut short the rods on the wings, as they make it look like ships from other places, not FL. Civ VHF - Blaze - 04-08-2010 A replacement for the kingfisher? |
