Trust Me, I'm a Doctor - DrKurt - 04-14-2010 <strike>Zhukovsky Station - Omega-52 - Coalition Space - 818A.S. My name is Kurt Caesera, I was born 12th July, 786 A.S, on Planet Cambridge. I studied at Cambridge University, and moved on to medical training at Chesterton Medical School. By 812A.S, I had graduated and began working in various clinics around Bretonia. It was hard scraping money together, and Bretonia's free healthcare made getting along surprisingly hard for me. By the time the war started, I was busy working with some of the Armed Forces who had been injured during the fights with the Kusari aggressors. Military pay wasn't much, but I eventually managed to get my hands on a decent Civilian Fighter. Whenever I got a chance, I'd explore the area around Bretonia, looking for people who'd appreciate my work. I got decent Holiday time, so it was no problem disappearing for a while. Sooner or later I found myself tending to refugees on Holman Outpost, doing my best to help them before they were relocated. Somehow I ended up on a Zoner transport headed to some deep Omega system, didn't know where I was going exactly. When we arrived, we spent days learning about the Coalition, they showed us what could be explained as propaganda, but I had to give it to them, they really cared about the people. They had a whole colony of Bretonian refugees on the planet, some recent attack by Phantoms meant they needed Doctors. I spent weeks working with the sick and injured, attempting to assist them as best I could. The Coalition didn't pay me, but they set me up with my own office, living quarters, provisions. I had a place to stay, people to help, a regime I believed in. I was happy. Currently my office is on Zhukovsky Station, where I work with the population of the station, whether military or civilian. The station currently holds about 1200 people, so I'm usually always busy. The only time I leave the station is to visit the planet in a shuttle, or to leave Omega-52 for supplies. The Coalition keep me well stocked, but sometimes I need medicine that is ordered in to the Freeports nearby. Of course I keep my Eagle with me, no Coalition technology as they only allow me use of public, civilian weapons. I'm not allowed to approach any of the other stations in Omega-52, they are all for use of the Military, and I'm not cleared to access them at any time. Word is my visa recently ran out, so leaving Zhukovsky would get me shot. I am going to re-apply soon, due to my need to collect supplies. Apparently a new Premier has been elected, a former military officer by the name of Alvin Katz, perhaps I can get a reference for all my good work from him, when he's not too busy that is.</strike> Non-cannon;) |
