[font=Palatino Linotype]Smoke from the cigar slowly drifted its way up towards the ceiling. The elbows were resting on the antique oak table which was tinted dark-brown. The hands were perfectly placed opposite to one another, combined with the thumbs and the fingers symmetrically nudging each other they formed the shape of a triangle. His mouth remained firmed, his eyes fixed on the person speaking to him and his heartbeats carried a steady rhythm. The powerful figure demanded unmatched fear and respect from anyone who decided to consume his valuable time.

Today The Oyabun (Family Boss, referred to as Father) had business with the Wakagashira (First Lieutenant). Before The Oyabun began speaking he glared straight into Satoru Nomura's eyes, testing his strength. A single flinch would signal weakness, something The Oyabun never tolerated. Rumors has it that one time a single glance from The Oyabun would cause a new recruit of the Yakuza family to tremble into such a state of despair that punishment by death was the only course of action that would satisfy the Family Boss.

"You summoned me, Father." Nomura bowed to express his respect as he entered the room.

[color=#999999]"Ah, my most dedicated family member."
The Oyabun replied with a cheerful tone.

Nomura bowed once again in order to properly accept the compliment.

The Oyabun coughed before he continued speaking, now with a more serious tone.

"Before we begin, I need you to immediately bring me the file of Hideki Inagawa."

Nomura swiftly nodded and proceeded to execute The Oyabun's command.

[font=Palatino Linotype]Nomura rushed back to the room carrying a silver-colored paper with him.

[color=#CCCCCC]"Here is the item that you requested, Father."

[font=Palatino Linotype]The Oyabun slowly raised his eyebrows. He then tilted his head upwards and looked at Nomura. He raised his right arm and pointed towards the door with his index finger.

"Send him in."

[color=#CCCCCC]"As you wish, Father."
Nomura walked towards the entrance and opened the door as he produced a quick gesture with his arm, signaling Hideki to step in.

Hideki kept his head low in order to express his respect for The Oyabun. Every step was taken with an equal distance from the former, his body was relaxed but he forced his back to remain perfectly straight. His arms swung like a pendulum, carrying a rhythmical movement. There was a chair positioned opposite to where The Oyabun was sitting with the antique oak-table separating the two.

"Please, take a seat."

Hideki bowed and sat down without uttering a single word.

The Oyabun initiated his routine observation and was satisfied with the amount of dignity and confidence Hideki projected.

"We require your expertise once again." The Oyabun stated, his powerful voice echoed through the room.

"I'm prepared for whatever is demanded out of me, Father." Hideki responded as he bowed slightly with his head.

A grin reached out to the surface of The Oyabun's face. "Excellent. Your mission objectives will arrive in exactly twelve hours. Until then, I suggest you get some rest, you will need it."

"Your advice carries a lot of wisdom, Father." Hideki bowed and exited the room as he headed towards his private quarters.

Kobun - Zeltak - 05-12-2010

[font=Palatino Linotype]An envelope was pushed in from beneath the door.

Hideki curiously looked at it for a couple of seconds before swiftly stretching his arm out to grab it.

After reading the letter he placed it carefully on his desk and proceeded towards his wardrobe and opened it. A black suit along with a black tie and a white shirt were picked. The standard Hogosha outfit. He also dragged out a small drawer which contained a pair of black leather gloves which he put on.

He breathed out a small amount of air from his mouth and then exited his private quarters. From here he immediately headed towards Hangar 8A. The password written on the letter have three functions:
  • The first function of the password is to tell the operator which hangar he should go to as shown by the first number and the letter right after it.

  • The second function of the password serves as a number-code given to the equipment officer positioned in the specific hangar. Once received he will provide you with the necessary weapons and tools as well as the keys for the designated vessel.

  • The third function of the password provides complete secrecy of the mission. Only The Oyabun himself along with the operator has knowledge of the details.
Once Hideki arrived at Hangar 8A he made his way towards a large metal door on the far right. A quick face-scan was conducted before the electronic door slid open. The walls were made out of metallic plates painted in snow-white and there was a huge metallic-wall right in the middle that cut the room in two. On the other side of the this large metallic-wall was the equipment officer busy with preparing items for several missions. There was a speaker-box placed on the middle of this metallic-wall along with a black-button that was supposed to be pushed in, in order to transmit any desired message to the equipment officer.

Hideki walked towards the black-button and pressed it with his right thumb. He had done this many times before and it had become a mere routine now.

"Equipment requested." Hideki said with a clear voice.

[color=#CCCCCC]"Password?"
An almost mechanical voice carrying no emotions transmitted back to Hideki.

"653-319"

One meter to the left of the speaker-box a small window was opened and a light-brown colored box was shoved out. Hideki opened the box and grabbed the keys to the ship. He kept the various tools inside the box and would later on equip them inside the vessel.

Kobun - Zeltak - 05-12-2010

[font=Palatino Linotype]The Black Dragon gently landed on the docking pad. As Hideki exited the vessel he was instantly greeted by a stranger.

"653-319?" The stranger quietly listed the number sequence.

Hideki nodded in response.

[color=#CCCCCC]"Right this way."
The stranger gestured with his arm as he proceeded to walk away.

They made their way towards the exit of the docking bay and then continued walking through a narrow hallway. Towards the end the stranger opened a door which lead to an apartment that was attached to the hangar. The third floor button was pushed in on the elevator, once they arrived they took a left and stopped at Door 311. The stranger searched in his pocket and after a few seconds he took out a key which he gave to Hideki. He then swiftly bowed before hastily leaving the scene.

Hideki opened the door which revealed a small room that consisted of a bed, a wooden desk and another door which lead to the toilet. He had figured out by now that this stranger was a man of the Yakuza who had been ordered to escort Hideki to this location. During the whole journey Hideki had been holding onto the light-brown box provided by the equipment officer which he now threw on the mattress. He opened it and first brought out a set of knives made in different sizes, then he brought out a small firearm and mounted a silencer on it. Finally the box contained one last item, it was a signaling device which transmitted only to a specific receiver. The tool was used to message another operator which would pick him up when the mission was completed.

Once Hideki was finished with equipping himself he exited the room, locked the door and threw the key away. A car was waiting for him outside the apartment which would drive him to a designated location and from that point on he would continue on foot. The trip took several hours and the clock had by now reached midnight, darkness ruled the streets. This was all perfectly planned by The Oyabun himself. The time it would take to reach Planet New Tokyo and the time consumed transporting Hideki with the car was all carefully calculated so he would arrive during night-time in order to move undetected in the shadows.

As Hideki exited the car which immediately drifted away from the location he entered a random apartment and made his way too the rooftop. From this vantage point he could spot the house approximately thirty meters from where he was standing. The main entrance seemed to be blocked by two of Shinoda's personal bodyguards so Hideki would be forced to infiltrate from above. Here his dexterity skills would prove to be extremely useful as he jumped from roof to roof. When he reached the correct one he began searching for the standard ventilation tunnel installed on all houses. Once it was located he carefully removed the metallic ventilation bar and squeezed his body inside the tunnel. From this point he would continue crawling slowly in order to not produce any sounds that would risk compromising the mission. At the very exit he removed yet another metallic bar which revealed an opening. He clung on the edge with his hands as he slowly pulled himself down. As his feet were about to land on the ground he immediately bent his knees in order to diminish the magnitude of the impact.

Before he proceeded he started to observe the surroundings, planning in advance where and how he would move towards the bedroom. When he was satisfied with a certain path he began sneaking his way towards the room where Shinoda was sleeping in. As he arrived he began glaring at the eyes that would soon be shut down permanently. He slowly reached for a small knife suitable for a swift attack and re-positioned it so the tip pointed downwards. Hideki then proceeded to aim towards the heart, ready to strike at any given second. Something Hideki would always do prior to ending the life of another human being was to silently chant a familiar song to himself.

"Hey, will the world turn upon me
Will the soul survive ultimately
Oh, will peace ever be found
When I drag my feet on hallowed ground?

And I don't want to know what the future will hold
And I don't want to pray because I'm lost anyway

Hey, will the pain follow me there
Will I turn my back on despair
Oh, will the sun shine upon me
When the body dies, is the soul set free?

And I don't want to know what the future will hold
And I don't want to pray because I'm lost anyway

Because your mind can close you in
And seclusion becomes a friend
I won't walk away
And my eyes can't fool me
When your world seems at an end
There's no reason to pretend
That things will be okay
And my eyes can't fool me

To your soul

I say...

LET IT GO!"

Shinoda suddenly gasped for air and opened his eyes in terror. The knife had penetrated through his skin and buried itself deep within his heart. A few seconds thereafter he ceased breathing...

Kobun - Zeltak - 05-16-2010

[font=Palatino Linotype]Another cigar was lit.

Complete silence.

A voice suddenly gave life to the room.

"Father! He has returned!" Nomura tried to catch his breath.

The Oyabun grinned. [color=#999999]"Excellent. Bring him in at once for debriefing!"

"As you command, Father." Nomura bowed before he headed for Hangar 8A.

The long trip back home had exhausted Hideki. He was at the point of falling asleep but he had to stay focused, he knew that in any minute now someone would escort him to The Oyabun for debriefing, another procedure that had become routine. Amongst the abundance of smoke produced from all the machines in the hangar Hideki could spot a figure becoming larger and larger as it headed its way towards him. When only a few meters of distance remained he managed to recognize the face and instantly bowed down, it was the Wakagashira.

"Hideki. You are to come with me immediately." Nomura stated with a commanding voice.

"Understood." Hideki replied as they proceeded to walk towards The Oyabun's office.

Hideki was a bit surprised that a man of such high rank would personally escort him to The Oyabun. Usually a simple foot-soldier would be sent. He suspected that the mission was a top priority of the current affairs, but that would be as far as his thoughts would go. Hideki would never truly question the motive behind anything conducted or issued by the Yakuza leadership. It was for this very reason he was even given the job to begin with.

Both of them stopped as they reached the correct door, Nomura knocked twice before opening.

"Enter."

Hideki took a few steps and entered room.

"Ah, you have arrived at last." The Oyabun said as he gestured with his right hand, signaling Hideki to take a seat.

Hideki picked up on the request and promptly sat down on the chair he had sat on so many times before.

The Oyabun brushed off a few dust particles from his left shoulder before he continued. "Very well, please begin the debriefing."

Hideki took a deep breath before he started. "Arrived at designated location in scheduled time. Approached the target's house from above, used the ventilation system. Proceeded to neutralize the target with a knife. Hit-spot, the heart. Managed to reach the rendezvous point undetected. Further proceedings logged by Operator 2."

The Oyabun began clapping his hands several times. "Outstanding Hideki. You have made the family very proud."

"It is merely my duty as a member, Father." Hideki responded in a submissive tone.

"And that is why we value you so much. Now you should have your well deserved rest. But when you wake up tomorrow, a most prestigious gift will be handed out to you for your performance today."

[font=Palatino Linotype]Eyes opened.

Someone was knocking on the door. Hideki slowly lifted himself up from his bed and walked towards the entrance to answer the call. A young man who could not be more than twenty years old was standing in front of him.

"Hideki-san, you are ordered to head for Hangar 4A as soon as possible." When the young man had finished his sentence he bowed once and quickly disappeared from Hideki's sight.

Hideki nodded to himself and began putting on his clothes for departure. As he walked through the narrow corridors of Kabukicho Depot he couldn't help himself but notice the obvious ranking structure that was reflected by the behavior of the various Yakuza members. Those who were always on the move, running back and forth were the low-ranked people. Messengers, errand-boys and the likes.

Then you had the groups of people who usually were standing in a conversation circle, drinking sake and smoking cigars. Making a few jokes and had a fashion for swear words, these were the back-bone of the Yakuza. The muscle, the grunts, those who performed the "dirty work" so to speak.

Of course as you kept walking you would eventually stumble upon a few scattered individuals standing inside their personal quarters or leaning against the corridor-walls. Always alone, always silent. These were the people you should never mess with. They were the most deadliest type, the Assassins. Hideki was one of them, which might have also been the reason for him being nicknamed the lone wolf.

Finally there was one more group. But you would never spot them on the regular routes. The Yakuza leadership, or more commonly referred to as The Administration. These were the people closest to The Oyabun. They were present on all matters and affairs conducted by the Yakuza and they were also the ones who served as The Oyabun's personal advisors. Of course The Oyabun had the final say on everything but on most occasions his decisions reflected the judgment of The Administration.

Hideki let his thoughts change track and he started thinking about the Hogosha man he had killed a few days ago and then suddenly found himself at Hangar 4A, just as intended. A hangar operator spotted Hideki and started walking with a quick pace towards him.

[color=#CCCCCC]"Ah, we have been expecting your arrival."
The man stated with a confident voice.

"Yes it seems I was ordered to come here." Hideki replied.

"That is correct. As you might be aware a certain gift was supposed to be given to you. If I may speak freely you have certainly been given a great reward for whatever you have done for the Yakuza." The man chuckled for a few seconds.

Hideki was confused. "A great reward?"

"Yes, my dear brother.

Behold!"

[font=Palatino Linotype]I gazed in amazement.

Such massive power seemed to radiate from this ship. The name Dragon's Tooth certainly was fitting for this mighty beast. I could only imagine the destructive force it could bring upon its enemies. The Oyabun seems to have a keen eye on great rewards.

I turned my head to the hangar operator. "What is the purpose of this vessel?"

The man looked at Hideki for a couple of seconds before answering his question. [color=#CCCCCC]"Hm. Good question Hideki-san. I have received a note which came with the vessel that was meant for you, perhaps the answer lies there."

Hideki nodded before he took the paper from the man's hand and began reading it. "The note only states that I have to go see The Oyabun after I have been introduced to the Dragon's Tooth."

"Very well, then I suggest you follow the given directions." The man replied in a cheerful tone.

"I be on my way then." Hideki said as he made his way towards The Oyabun's room.

When he reached the entrance he was met by a guard. "I'm here to see The Oyabun."

"Enter." The Guard responded with a firm voice as he opened the door.

The Oyabun raised his head. "Hideki! You must have read my note."

"Yes I came as fast as I could." Hideki grabbed a chair and sat opposite to The Oyabun.

"So, what did you think of the reward?"

"Magnificent."

"Haha, excellent! You deserved it."

"My duty for the Yakuza is enough of an reward, but I do not wish to insult you by denying a gift."

"You are our ideal member Hideki. If only the rest could follow your example." The Oyabun sighed as he finished his last words. He rubbed his chin twice before looking up at Hideki again.

"But I have summoned you today for another reason."

"Yes?"

"You may wonder what exactly you will do with the Dragon's Tooth. Well, let me explain the current situation with the Yakuza. Do you remember Kenichi Shinoda?"

"How could I ever forget him." For a moment there Hideki received a flashback which replayed the few seconds of the time when he pushed the knife into the man's heart, ending his life.

"As you might recall, that disgraceful dog had been handing out very sensitive information to one of our rivals. We had invested a tremendous amount of money in setting up that new base in the Honshu system which would further expand our organization. Unfortunately the construction was aborted thanks to two separate raids that had been conducted by the Junkers. We have lost our upcoming depot and received a hard hit towards our economy. This problem needs to be fixed. And I'm counting on you."

"What must I do?"

"I want you to build a team of the most capable Yakuza-members our organization possesses. I'm confident in your ability to chose these certain members and so I allow you to do it on your own. The purpose of this wing will be to intercept various convoys that passes through the trade-lanes of Kusari in an attempt to boost our economy by either stealing their valuable loot or taxing them for money. You will also be assigned with an accountant that keeps track of your daily records and presents weekly statistics to The Administration regarding the successes of your efforts."

"Understood."

"Hideki. Do not fail me."

"I swear on my life."
