Corsair Court - CorsairCouncil - 05-03-2010 The Corsair Supreme Court
A division of the Council of Elders, the Supreme Court exists to enforce the Laws of the Corsair Empire and to ensure that those who break our laws are brought to justice. For ease of reference, the laws may be transmitted on subspace signal using the pre-programmed code found within this transmission As stated in the Corsair Laws the Council reserves the right, upon conviction, to punish offenders with sanctions which include but are not limited to:
Corsair Court - CorsairCouncil - 05-03-2010 -----------Update------------- Due to increased incidences of inappropreate deployment of renegade Corsair vessels to regions outside of our zone of interest (prohibited by the Sirius Codex, Corsair Law 1) the Council have deemed it necessary to restate and clarify that invasions or raiding of Kusari, Tau or Liberty space is not acceptable. This has lead to the creation of general Corsair Law 6; Quote:6) Corsair-built ships must not enter Liberty, Kusari or Tau space except under the following conditions;Note that previously, misconduct that would breach this law was prohibited by the Sirius Codex, Corsair Law 1, and therefore violators WILL face trial even if they committed the crime before this update. Corsair Court - CorsairCouncil - 05-03-2010 -------------------------------------Opening Case--------------------------------------------------- Quote:Sandstorm: Laws 1 and 6. (20 million credit fine). Diablo: Laws 1 and 6 (20 million credit fine). Stephen: Laws 1, 6, 14, 15, 16 (50 million credit fine). Open and shut case. Clear violations of the Sirius Codex (1), unauthorised invasion of Liberty (6), inappropriate behaviour of a captain (14), irresponsible endangerment of crew (15), and unauthorised deployment (16). Senors, your conduct has endangered your crews, and damaged the reputation of the empire amongst potential associates. In addition, your deployment of vessels into Liberty diverted resources that could have been better spent fighting one of the 10 conflicts which threaten the security of the empire. The Council of Elders hopes that you will accept these penalties, learn from your mistakes, and be productive assets of the Empire in future. Please transfer the fines to Corsair.Treasury as soon as possible, and provide evidence here. Magistrate: Carlos Benitez Corsair Court - CorsairCouncil - 05-04-2010 -------------------------------------Opening Case--------------------------------------------------- ' Wrote:Ratni Brod: Laws 6, 14 and 16. [color=white](80 million credit fine). Another open-and-shut case. Evidence shows unauthorised invasion of Liberty space (6), unintelligible communication (14) and unauthorised deployment of a warship outside of Corsair territory (16). Ratni Brod, this is not the first time you have been sentenced by this court. In the last transgression, you failed to heed warnings to cease fire from other pilots, causing the destruction of 3 allied vessels. The Council wishes to avoid hostilities with Liberty at this time, and considers Alaska to be beyond our zone of interest. In addition, given souring relations with the Order, no Corsair warship has any business being in Minor, let alone Alaska. Your misconduct lead to a hostile encounter with Liberty forces which should not have taken place. We hope you will learn from this, and continue to be an asset to the empire. Please transfer the fine to Corsair.Treasury and provide evidence here. Magistrate: Carlos Benitez Corsair Court - CorsairCouncil - 05-08-2010 -------------------------------------Opening Case--------------------------------------------------- Dustin.Ledman (freelancer): Attack/kidnap. (Enemy of the Empire). Evidence 1 Evidence 2 At some point today a freelancer flying a Roc bomber entered Omicron Gamma. It is clear that this pilot attacked patrols as he was scanned on his way toward Omicron-Theta, and found to be carrying the escape pods of 3 Corsair pilots. This freelancer was intercepted in Omicron-Theta, but solar-storm activity prevented him being properly dealt with and the pilots were not recovered. Aside from laws in place to ensure acceptable conduct for both visitors and corsair citizens, attacks on Corsair patrols, or the unauthorised apprehension of our operatives is an act of war upon the empire. As a result, this pilot is now an enemy of the empire, to be hunted as long as he resides within our reach. Magistrate: Carlos Benitez Corsair Court - CorsairCouncil - 05-24-2010 -------------------------------------Opening Case--------------------------------------------------- "Ghost Ships": Repeated violations of laws 15, 16 and 17, plus previous assaults on Zoner ships, and above all, assault on the person of an Elder. (Kill on Sight) Ghost Ships have repeatedly broken Corsair laws in the past, and have even attacked Zoners, and not 4 days ago were talked to in person by Elder Montezuma about their repeated disregard for Corsair Law. During the conversation, they admitted multiple law breeches, and blatant dis-regard for Corsair Law on the grounds that the laws are 'stupid' and 'make no sense'. With this in mind, we have just now recieved evidence that they have one again broken Corsair Law, by taking two Battleship class vessels into Omicron Minor, and even Alaska. While the latter cannot be proven, we have recieved evidence in the form of a Guncam shot from a recon drone of the former transgression. In addition to the previously mentioned crimes, it has recently come to the court's attention that you have disobeyed and even opened fire upon the ship of an Elder, namely Elder Espi of the Black Sails. Such a crime as this warants nothing short of death, as is the case with all traitors. Magistrate: Montezuma ________________________________________________________________________________ -------------------------------------Opening Case--------------------------------------------------- Ratni Brod, sandstorm, Stephen, Diablo: Unpaid fines (Exile) A clear case of unpaid fines, which have been left unpaid for 3 weeks due to Council re-structuring, two of you have also been informed about these fines and yet have refused to pay them. As such, with refusal to pay the pennance for your actions, a more severe punnishment is in order, namely Exile. Magistrate: Montezuma Corsair Court - Voxdeus99 - 05-29-2010 Well before half hour I was informed that I was ejected from Corsair fleet. I was offline 32 days. What I must do now when I got a heart attack and iron fist in my head. When Montezuma tell me what is my punishment I stay frozen. Anyway what I must do now because i don't want to stay without ship by a force. Thank you Corsair Court - Govedo13 - 06-17-2010 Accusation removed, I spoke with the Capitan on private channels.
