Honoured council, Representatives of this chamber, Friends.
There is no denying this regrettable incident.
I am guilty for the loss of lives and resources - It was my shot that downed the Betty.
I shall describe the scene as it occured, and trust in the wisdom of this Council to dispense justice as they see fit.
The scene is nearly as described by the previous witnesses, with one notable exception: My shot was intended for the Sparta! - I had come within range and discovered that ship in open hostilities with the two TOP vessels.
I`ll start by saying that these events took place only after the ultimatum given by this esteemed Council regarding the Omicron Theta and Omega-41 systems.
Benitez, TBH and ECG ships were covering the system on converged patrols.
Just before the incident we were engaged in Gamma space with three hostile Zoner Juggs, and some Outcast vessels, that eventually sought refuge in Omicron Theta. On the way back to Crete, we received a distress signal, stating that 2 ships had escaped the blockade, and we therefore proceeded directly to Crete.
Arriving at the scene we immediately determined that the ships in question were ToP, and a cruiser was shooting at them. We perceived this cruiser to be the Sparta!
This breached protocol. I was not aware of any formal order that defined aggressive action toward these traders and it was beyond reason that they were such an immediate hostile threat against the superior guns of the Sparta! that they couldnt be taken into custody, or escorted out of the system.
I give my assurance to this council that there was no time for verbal intervention to the Sparta, to my knowledge. My intention was to draw the Sparta!s attention and fire away from the traders.
I ordered my crew to fire a warning shot at the bow to impact the shields 1/5th. To my utmost regret there was a miscalculation in the targeting system and the Betty went down as she moved into the direct line of fire.
I will add that reparations were paid immediately to the surviving pilot of the Betty and the families of his lost crew. The total payment was 6.5million credits.
There is no gun turret evidence of the transaction and I have my intelligence units tracking down the pilot of the betty in the hope of gaining his testimony. In the meantime I must stand on my honor that the pilot was reimbursed.
In finality:
I see no course of action that would have proven more effective, nor prevented this tragic loss, given that the Sparta! had deemed these vessels hostile and was engaging with its overwhelming firepower. I do not believe a direct order would have prevented the intended decision to down these traders.
In the final assessment however, the decison to fire upon the Sparta! and that thus destroyed the Betty was mine and mine alone.
I await with humility the judgement of the unfailing Council in this matter.

Ahaha, Evolution, you made me laugh)) Why don't you just admit that you can't resist a desire to blow up some flying bucket after I did so. I know you ready to protect our home from any potential threat, even if they plant cardamine weed bombs on civilian ships. My shields got no damage, any gun tracking was not detected. From you, to be accurate. Later I was hit by Hispania dreadnought, as punishment I guess. When only Elders have rights to punish, that dread hit my hull and guns with his missiles. What about targeting, our systems are damn best. Respect to Tripoli engineers! Our guns always hit the target we aim) Don't hurry to blame me in second ship destruction.
First one was my fault, I was drunk, I hurried too much. What else I could do when it was about few seconds to reach Crete. Sorry about our supplier's loss, any bad things sometimes happens. Elders can be sure that I'll make it not happen again.
Also. I am a former Corsair guard, and as far as I know, code allows cruisers to fire on transport in Gamma and O-91. I don't wanted to pirate them, just followed order and supported fire (Target was under NPC patrols attack, which confused me - was too many player ships around, I thought they attack transport too, someone shouts DIE! or something like that) And as I said there was no time to thinking). My fault is that I understood that order wrongly, as a situation. Obviously I don't try to blame the one who gave that order. But what about second ship - I haven't even thought about firing on it - it was blowed up before. Now here are stories about glitching targeting systems and attempts to involve me in second ship destruction. By some stupid way of lying. Toasted it just to make me a company - should sound better)

admitted your mistake the punishment will be light. 50 000 000 Credits
to Corsair.Treasury will pay for the damage done to our suppliers.
Evolution, I do not know what is worst... Shooting a Corsair ship or
shooting a transport full of supplies for the Empire. I refuse to accept
that your targeting systems malfunctioned, that is an insult to the good
man and women who work day and night so people like you can enjoy
their command. The fact that you appear before this court for the second
time is not helping you neither. When add the fact you used a Legate for
those offenses I start thinking about removing you from the bridge of
that ship and have you driving a dump truck on Crete.
For those reasons your fine is set at 150 000 000 Credits. Transfer the
funds to the Corsair.Treasury account and make sure you don't ever
find yourself before the Court.

Greetings,
I am afraid I have to report an incident that occurred in Freeport 6 a few time ago.
A corsair pilot was caught shooting at Kusari authorities nearby the freeport and using the zoner station as a base of operation.
This behaviour is of course unacceptable. Therefore I would be pleased if Corsairs leadership would take an appropriate measure against that pilot in order such incident do not happen again.

I want to report about one ''accident''. While doing small patrol on my ''Imperator'' I met one of our ''Osiris'' Battleships in Omega 5 system. I greet him, but he insulted me instead. I tried to learn why do he showed so huge disrespect towards me, but he started to spell threats to me and my crew and after attemped to run away. I followed him and tryed to learn what the hell was wrong with him.
Few more minutes of talk and my Gunboat had a Mortar right into its hull, after he drop'ed my shields with all his turrets. It was so surprising for us so we couldnt escape it. Thaths to nearby patrol our heavilly damaged ''Imperator'' was brought to Skiros for quick repairs. I was lucky to survive, but half of my crew died immidietly after Mortar hit.
My camera and computer was undamaged, so Ive been able to take screens and save our chat-logs. Im proving it to you as proof of incompetence of this Captain. We cannot allow people like him to command our Capital ships, if he can attack his own Brothers and Sisters without any reason and Elder order.
