These logs are authentic. If you have the guts to deny it I will go further to prove so... don't put yourself in the shameful position as it is already evident you lied to the court twice.

I told you about the situation in my first defence.

I would like to ask the court to review this imposed sanction and levy the fine of 20 million credits payable to the Anarchists for trying to get someone convicted on false charges and by lying to the corsair high court.

The crime of lying to a corsair court itself should be punishable by death if you ask me...

Even if the logs are authentic that still doesn't provide you any reason to attack me like this. In fact, you can clearly see that you damaged my ship's hull before I "taunted" you and after all this time since the trial started you failed to explain your unannounced and unexpected attack on me in the first place.

Also, I read the logs retrieved from the ship you destroyed and turns out you were participant when defending against the Outcast attack. We were flying in the same group at the time. Why did you tell the court that you were not present and never heard of said attack? I also remembered now and found proof in the logs that you also attacked and destroyed a freelancer who helped us push back the Outcast force.

I'm starting to think that this was a hate attack. Seeing as you fly with those Anarchists and I have non-corsair blood. That was the reason behind your hostility even though I got accepted in your ranks, wasn't it? It's the reason for both attacking me and that freelancer. Hmm...

Greetings, honorable members of the Council of Elders

I stand before you today to bring to your attention a very disturbing matter.

While I was minding my own business in our home system of Omnicron Gamma I came across someone named Riordian. He was flying a E78-12 "Spatial" Civilian Deep Space Explorer and, while his transponder was broadcasting a corsair signal, he was using weapons manufactured by The Order. My first thought was that he is working for them - The Order - so I asked him to leave the system. He answered he does not have the funds requierd to get other weapons. Of course, this statement sounded like a lie to my ears and when he set a course for Planet Crete I used my cruise distruptor tubes and stopped him. Next came a warning. "Do that again and your history" he said. At this point I was sure he was working for an enemy of the Empire and I used my cruise distruptors again as he was trying to engage his cruise engines, heading for Crete.

What happened next? He charged his order-built weapons and fired at me !!! A corsair trying to kill another corsair in our very own home system ?!?!? "This is maddness", I thought. "How did he get that ship? Why was it broadcasting a corsair signal? Was that ship hijacked by an enemy of the Empire? Are there any corsairs still on board?" With these questions in mind I decided not to return fire.

The Spatial then docked on Skiros station only to leave it soon after. Yes, I could have shot it down with ease, but I was still wondering if any of our own people were aboard. So I asked for assistance on a system wide channel while trying to figure out a way to handle this situation. To my surprize nobody answered my call so I felt obliged to bring this matter to your attention, honorable Elders.

I am confident that The Council will adress the matter at hand and will make sure this traitor - or whatever else he is - will receive the right punishment for his actions

Hola hermano's! as I was escorting one of our Praefects to Omega-50 we came across an unescorted Osiris "Supremo", I hailed him and told him to return to Crete, he failed to comply and opened fire on me! I told him to stop shooting on which he agreed on, and once I put my ship to a halt he opened fire on my again and destroyed my Praetorian... Once i've picked up one of my back-up ships on Tripoli we headed to Omega-50 to fight the SCRA... the Supremo was also there and opened fire upon the Praefect again... I demand him to be punished... and I won't be satisfied with anything less then him being exiled...

Hola Elders.

It seems I have been called to a trial due to the actions that occurred a few days ago inside the Omega-5 system.

You have seen the evidence provided by Elder Adam. Now, you will hear my side of the story.

I do not expect to be relieved of any charges, but I did not shoot this man without reason or logical motivation. For I will rather die than be told by my own brother that I'm not allowed to engage in combat against my enemy. The very purpose of this ship, the same ship that has defended Omicron Gamma countless times and has even lead your forces to victory against various Outcast and Order invasions.

But I'm no coward, I will not use these merits as excuses for my actions. Instead I will simply inform you of what really happened.

I received a report that there was a large Coalition presence inside the Omega-50 system, here are two messages logged on our terminal computer proving that I'm not lying. I also witnessed a Benitez member participating in the battle.

Now, moving on. Prior to this battle, I launched my vessel from Omicron Gamma and jumped to the Omega-41 system. Half-way towards the Omega-5 system, Elder Adam and a Corsair Cruiser going by the call-sign Rosa Roja approached me. I assumed they had arrived to assist me but instead Elder Adam began asking where I was heading. I responded that I was going to shoot some Coalitioners. An immediate response was made by Elder Adam saying that I was denied to do this task. I was upset that an Elder, out of all people had not just ordered me to not engage my most despised enemies, but to also deny my right to assist my brothers who might have already been fighting the Coalitioners inside Omega-50.

Angry by his statement, I continued my course towards the Omega-5 system to then enter a short-cut via the Omega-52 system in an attempt to reach the battle before it was too late. Elder Adam was furious because I didn't abide to his, in my opinion illogical orders, so he began firing Cruise Disruptors and successfully disrupted my engines half-way towards the Omega-52 jumphole.

He had given me his final provocation. I warned him, that if he continued to harass me with these stupid orders and hindering me from assisting my allies, I would do anything I could to reach them. Even fire at his ship. It appeared he refused to back down on his orders, so I was left with no choice but to fire upon him. Of course, during the middle of all this, the Corsair Cruiser Rosa Roja engaged me as well. But I ignored him after I dealt with Elder Adam, who had a cruise disruptor.

Fortunately our terminal computer managed to save the logs of the incident.

Note also that the evidence Elder Adam has provided can verify that at least some parts of these messages were real and therefore remove any suspicion of me fabricating this transmission log.

Now. A quick note to the evidence he has provided in regards to what happened inside Omega-50. Surprised by the fact that this man had received a new ship so quickly, but even more enraged that he had decided to attack me for a second time I uttered the words "Die Corsair". Now I'm well aware that this was a very foolish statement, and I do not deny it in any shape or form, but this man had pushed me to my limits. And this statement, was a response to that.

Hm. In the light of recent events, I am dropping one of the charges as unjustified:

Breach of law 16 - Moving outside of Corsair territory.

That leaves us with:
Disobedience of an Elder.
Assaulting a Corsair ship. However, after provocation.

Don't be fooled. These are serious charges, and will be dealth with accordingly, after both sides have their say.

Good day honorable magistrate of our Council. As it is open Corsair wide i had to give my word as one of Ventru and there is a reason. We are Corsairs and we are protecting our territory and our hermanos, this is our honor and duty, we all shaked by chain of blood, generation by generation. And we'll never leave our brothers in danger, this is our oath before the ancestors. Omega 50 is a key point for our great Empire, many our brothers are taking a rest in the safe heaven of Mindelo and we can't ignore the odds and threats coming from remnants of coalition. They are claiming our lands to be theirs, that we can't ignore. They are putting the life of our hermanos in question, that we cannot ignore as well. The words of so known.. "Elder" Adam are insulting my very nature of Corsair. I'm always honest with my brothers and our family had never put Adam on the same level as respected Elders of Crete. Fernandes famillia ignored that, but now. I have to say, i can't tolerate such behavior towards my brothers, especially from Outcast.. Outsides will never know the path of Ventru blood and I'm all against what is going on. Society will never bow before someone of that like, this is our pride. For me life of my brother costs countless lives of outsides scum and I'm always ready to put any of them on my sword.
As a part of our ancient society I'm asking the True Honorable Elders to put an eye on that subject to review it more carifuly. All brothers and sisters are watching.

I would be very careful questioning the honour and integrity of a man who, despite his past, has achieved the highest social status that any can achieve in Cretan society. Furthermore, if you do respect the 'other' Elders as much as you say, then please respect that it was these 'other' Elders who extended their hand towards Adam.

Please bear in mind that the court makes its decisions based on the facts presented, and is a separate, though linked entity to the Council.
