The Heist - ejoman3002 - 05-04-2010

A man is standing in the middle of a long hallway, decorated with old style wall lighting, and fancy decorations. As he walks, he thinks to himself “I’ve finally made it”. He looks to his left as he passes a room and see’s his “employees” bagging a fresh shipment of cardimine. Each one was wearing, what appeared to be, an odd variation of a breather. Although these were, different, these where meant to keep his men from getting addicting to the cardimine. He knew the adverse effects it would have on both himself, and his crew. He remembered being told that the first rule of dealing the cardamine was “Don’t get addicted to what you sell.” He continued his walk down the hallway till came across a scantily clad slave, carrying alcohol, who opened a door to a dark room with what looked like perfectly normal business. A man was sitting down, looking through a glass to what seemed like a well lit small circular stage with a girl that was obviously on some kind of drug, possibly cardamine. He didn’t care as long as she presented herself “well” to the “business men”. He kept walking until a pale, shaky looking, man came up behind him and whispered into his ear

“Wash, The new batch of companions are in from Malta”.

“How does the new batch look?”

“Mighty fine sir. They’ll be shur to go for more then a pretty penny”

“Excellent. Have the best 2 picked out and brought to my personal room. Then offload the rest as quick as you can”

“Yes sir”, the man quickly returns from the direction he came. He continues his walk down the hallway.

He turned the corner, here he passed by a door where a big brown man was escorting the girl that was on stage just a moment ago out and to the bay where she was to be offloaded at once. He went back to the room she just came out of and peered in. There were 4 one way pieces of glass. Each one had an screen ontop of it showing a price. One which was obviously the highest one was highlighted in red.

“400k” he said to himself “not half bad” he nodded

He continued walking throughout the ship until he eventually came to the bridge. It looked to be your typical bridge. It had a several consoles, a single console in the middle, with all the aspects of the ship up, and several consoles to the sides with more in depth information about specific components of the ship. In the center, of course, was the view screen. He looked around as he admired his fairly new vessel once more. As he looked outside the port window, he saw a blast mark on the hull, and he fondly remembered how he came to possession of this ship...

He was playing poker one night night with some friends at a bar. It was fairly quiet except for this rather annoyingly loud guy in the corner behind Wash. After some time, the man stood up in his chair and exclaimed to everyone in the bar that he was “the best man here”, as he was preparing to set voyage on his yacht tomorrow for a trip around Sirius. At first he was ignored by all the bar’s patrons. So repeated his statement, only this time, louder. Most people had turned to him now with a look of annoyance at his gloating, that is, everyone except for Wash. The drunken man noticed that the entire company in the bar was ignoring him, frustrated, he jumped down off his chair walked over to wash and said...

“Its alright to be jealous buddy, some people are just born to see the world and enjoy life, wheras you are stuck here barely making enough money to get by”

One of the other men at the poker table readied to get up, but Wash raised his hand, gesturing him to sit down. The man, seeing this hostile action, then exclaimed...

“DAMN RIGHT! LISTEN TO YOUR FRIEND! Don’t wanna’ get into a fight with me. Won’t end too well for you, or your friends”

Wash turned to him, smiled, and said...

“You have yourself a nice cruise there buddy”

The man, now with a confused look on his face, waited for a short amount of time, and then walked out of the bar, proud.

As the man left, Wash put down his cards and said...

“Ok this is what we do...”
