Anyway, here's the score.
To me the Half life series are my favorite game series ever.(I still remember when the first HL came out and how amazing I thought it was at the time)
Anyway, all I want to know is, is there anyone else in the Discovery GC community who's also into Half life?
And if like me, are you also wondering if HL2 Ep 3 is ever going to come out lol:laugh:

Well I own the orange box on pc and xbox 360.
Ep 2 requires a bit more comp power (but it's worth it).
I'm not sure but I think the requirements for Ep 1 are the same as HL2.
Also is anyone else like me, waiting for Black Mesa to come out?

'tis an amazing game series. In terms of story and sheer awesomeness, it's pretty great. Especially Ravenholm. And the cliff sequence from HL1.
Personally, I prefer HL2 to HL1. Two makes the end into a completely epic final level, with that whole "screw weapons, I've got the gravity gun!" thing. The end levels of HL1 were just... Yeah. They made me cry.

HL2 is a bastion of exceptional game design. I love it. That said, Valve lost the point of episodic gaming, I think, by making this game take forever to come out...

Half-life is teh awesome.
It is ...well, really really good.
The story and the believable characters just add so much more to what would otherwise be an ordinary shooter.
I mean, there is nothing special about the graphics or the gameplay.
Its the characters that drive enjoyment and make you want to play more.

Half Life II is a sci-fi design masterpiece.
Too bad that Valve forgot to release EP III and it became too late to convince people with engine makeups or packs like Orange box, as they did with EP II
