Dear men and women of Daumann Heavy Construction and the Rheinland Governing Body,

Today, there was an incident involving a groups of mercenaries known as the Reavers, a DHC patrol, and one ICMG fighter in the Coombe Asteroid Field.

Our very own Richard O'Henry was flying a mission assigned to him by the station master of Aland Shipyard earlier today. His assigned task was to take out a corsair installation near the Omega 5 Jump Hole in the Omega 3 system. We felt this was sufficiently far away from any DHC interests to prevent any hostilities between our two factions.

What happened on the way there is outlined in the available nav map for your reference.

At Freeport One, contact was made with a Mercenary Group known as the Reavers. These men had already proven themselves hostile to the ICMG on separate occasions. They shadowed our ship to the Coombe Field and waited for him to take out the Corsair installation before informing him that there was a bounty placed on his head.

I asked why and who posted the bounty but this he refused to tell me, YET. I told him I'd rather pay the bounty for my head than risk my life so while I was withdrawing money, one of them stated that we were untrustworthy followed followed by a couple more insults i would rather not speak of. If it wasn't for a couple Red Hessain pilots who came by at the last second I think they would have killed me anyway.

The Red Hessains joined me and fought along side me. They defended me.

After the fight went on for a while longer, a Daumann pilot showed up. He sat there watching until more Daumann fighters arrived then shouted that he was going to kill ME! I haven't done anything to Daumann, I don't know why they would attack me! We were desperately outnumbered, only me and two Hessain pilots.

I'd never Think I'd say this but a normally annoying Ion storm saved my life. I managed to slip away amongst the confusion as ship was too badly damaged to fight.

This is the Pilot's Direct report on the situation. I must admit, I am quite concerned with his decision to take the help of these Revolutionaries. I wish to stress that the ICMG has always viewed these men with suspicion. However, I am forced to admit that under the circumstances, with Richard's life being threatened with mortal consequences, any attempt to save one of my men from grave peril is welcome.

So, in the end, we have a situation where an ICMG pilot in a training ship (with no armor or hull replicators) was attacked by mercs (This happens often due to the Cartel's bounty on us, so I can deal with this.) AND DHC. (This is more puzzling as my pilot was 30 Kilometers from the nearest DHC mining field and actively under attack by mercenary forces.)

I also wish to bring up the fact that the ICMG Has never had ANY mining operations in the omegas and are thus NOT a competing factor for DHC.

So, my question to DHC:

So, why was my man, already outnumbered and far away from any interests of yours, attacked by DHC escorts?

And my question to The Rhienland Government:

You buy our mined ore for your economy and yet you allow these DHC to attack us for no apparent reason?

This seems to send us a conflicting message.

Doubly so now that I find the lives of my men being saved by Hessians.

We in the ICMG have -every intention- of remaining on good terms with Rhienland, but this may not be possible if we find our efforts to supply you being undermined by Daumann actions.

Our patrol just catched a hessian distress call and looked after it. When they reached the source they saw our subcontractor Reavers are already in fight with 2 RHA and an ICMG fighter. Our patrol offered help for the mercenaries what they accepted.

Answering your question:

Your pilot openly helped our most hated enemies. This is clearly show us you dont really want to keep your declared neutrality (at least another local IMG group always tell this). Anyone who openly or secretly support the enemy of Rheinland State, and Daumann corporation, dont be surprise when he get some shootings. I am sure if Daumann fighters support Outcasts openly in Tau 23, then your fighters do not ask any question just shoot. So what is in your pilots report "I haven't done anything to Daumann" it is fail.

If you want to keep a good relation between ICMG and Rheinland Government my suggestion: dont support hessians or other enemy of Rheinalnd but cut all lines with them, and Im sure the government will agree this condition. Ask them.

And a note, whatever your feeling, but Omega 3 and Omega 5 both is in our interests much more than IMG...

Dear Daumann,

I have no opening statement witch can relate to the emotions I am feeling after hearing these comments from your very mouth. Putting two and two together regarding repeated mercenary attacks on ICMG Guild Members in the Omegas, my blood runs cold with realization.

I was under the mistaken impression that these men who's jobs are to take the lives of my men were hired by the cartel. Instead I find that it is Daumann who is taking the lives of my men? We ICMG have ZERO operations for extracting ore in the Omegas. The only time we are in the Omegas is in transit to New Berlin where we sell Niobium Ore to the Rhienland government! We help your house's economy and you place a bounty on our heads for it?

I must demand you rescind your bounty on ICMG ships at once!

Allow me to correct that for you.

"Your Pilot was openly helped by our most hated enemies. This clearly shows us that you will accept help from anyone who offers to save the life of a member of the ICMG who is in grave danger."

The ICMG will NOT allow one of their men to die when there is an available alternative to this right in-front of him. If my pilot had done the -right- thing and refused these Hessains' help HE WOULD MOST LIKELY BE DEAD. AT YOUR HANDS NO LESS!

I am just about as furious as I have ever been in my life.
Daumann needs to rethink their relations with the ICMG, and quickly.

Reavers are mercenaries, they can have more masters in the same time, you mentioned another non-Daumann example. If they are on the Cartel payment list thats not our business. If Cartel pay for you that is Reavers and Cartel deal not our. Reaver do a damn good job when they accomplish our contract so if they need assistance we give it if possible. Especially if they need against hessians. I dont remember we pay for peaceful IMG traders who just passing trough omega systems, but if you dont change your agressive tone very quickly maybe we will.... Oh and please give me the number of ICMG pilots who died by Daumann hand. Wanna see the evidences too. That is really open declaration of war, else you are just a challenger.

You say you only go trough all time with minerals on Omega systems. Well the place where incident happened was far far from normal route, far from the lanes, so it can mean only 2 thing. Your pilot lied for you or you lie now. Whatever. The challenger do his job.

It mean you are guest here. Be nice and act like guest and ask, not demand (except if you want provoke that war what you mentioned). Im sure you dont really thoght over your words, so I can close my eyes - now. Strange, one local IMG team want a peace agreement, another want provoking a war...., so please consult each other 1st before you turn to Daumann corporation, what you really want. And please dont try to explain you are different, we dont care your inner structure, IMG member from Taus and from Omegas are same in our eyes.

Oh and just see how we are ready for deal, we withdraw any bounty on ICMG ships. We never placed any to your ships, so easy withdrawing the nothing.

Now I demand something. Turn your guns against the hessians. If you need protection, we and Rheinland Government always can help. If it is true: "... accept help from anyone who offers to save the life of a member of the ICMG who is in grave danger" then ask it from Rheinland lawfuls. Especially because - as you declare yourself - you are a contractor and deliver of Rheinland Republic. If you do it, then I m sure this incident never happen again. Are you ready for this? If yes good, if no, dont demand nothing (just if you give something).
