The Construction of light - Serpentis - 05-21-2010 It had been a month, perhaps more, since the Enclave had become Zoners and just a few days ago since they where given a seat in the Zoner Alliance. Patriarch Jechaim sat and observed how his migrant fleet dispersed by the hundreds, heading towards the surface of Gran Canaria. Only abut 30 remained close to the disassembly drones left by the bigger transports, they quickly began to dismantle the remaining ships. Each ships was pulled into the belly of the Exodus so that everything would be ready to begin construction on the surface. Meanwhile on the surface, the people of Canaria watched as hundreds and thousands of crafts entered the atmosphere and headed of towards the desolate areas outside the cities and ports, where nothing lived but animals.. They all gathered in the space above the area chosen by the Patriarch, moments afterwards, each vessel dropped onto the surface, each landing next to each other, in a perfect circle, the plans scanned across the computer screen which the leading engineer had in front of him. The temple structure was to be constructed in the middle of the circle of the vessels, it was to become a home for the Animus caste and the Virulian Council. A place where they could command and where they could coordinate their affairs. The surrounding buildings where to house the Corporis caste, the engineer mused at this, as he knew that the Military caste held no special wish to live in the temple, but rather live on the outskirts of temple area. First order of things was to flatten the areas around the aimed construction site, something that the builder forms currently loaded onto three of the fifteen borderworld transports that where landing. These giant machines could excavate and flatten the needed areas before the construction materials currently being unloaded from the remaining transports. Meanwhile, the remaining engineers and builders where coordinating their efforts into preparing for the construction site. The diggers began only moments after they where properly assembled, it was a glorious sight for the Engineers, these marvel of the creators machinery where constructed for this in the matter of hours. For half a day the initial preparations where completed, then the builder drones came from orbit each carrying platings remade for the temple construction and for the surrounding buildings. Each of which would rise several hundred feet into the air, but, the Temple structure itself would reach almost three thousand feet into the air, almost reaching the clouds in the Canaria'n sky. ------ Two days after none stop construction, the buildings began to take shape.. All thanks to the advanced construction technologies, the builder forms and to the engineering of the Animus and Corporis caste members. Meanwhile, The Patriarch sat in his seat on board one of the transports, currently pondering the future.. The Enclave had a home, for once. The Construction of light - Serpentis - 05-27-2010 Zhane looked at the construction sites on the surface of Canaria, the new home of the Enclave. He saw how hundred of builder forms, that had been constructed to dig and build the buildings, was walking, rolling and hovering around the construction site, hundreds of them, the process would take 2 weeks, it was closing in on that mark now. And so far, it was going well. The temple was almost completed, only the power generator to power the entire colony was left, right now the buildings was powered by the multiple engines of the scrapped vessels on the ground. Zhane looked out from his personal shuttle as it was closing in on the Temple structure and he smiled.. The impressive structure was a marvel of technology, the blue circle between the two towers was actually a shielding system that protected the area over the construction site, and was to protect the entire colony when the power generators where operational.. He knew, that the Animus caste would not like the fact that he as the Overlord of the Corporis had ordered an entire regiment of soldiers stationed in the Temple at all times, one thousand soldiers, all armed and cyberneticly enhanced. Ever since he had ordered that all recruits was to be injected with the nanites and provide orders to those nanites to construct a polymer based alloy along their entire bone structure to insure that they all could survive longer, and implants to increase strength, speed and hand to eye coordination, then the Animus really freaked.. The implants of the Creator was reserved for only the most devoted of followers, therefor, only one regiment was allowed the injections.. Zhane had agreed and so... His own ideas and plans where set in motion.. The 154th regiment was the strongest and most advanced infantry division of the Exodus Defense Force (EDF). Around the colony several smaller defense drones was to be placed, to protect the temple and colony.. These drones had each one missile launcher, and three smaller hard points with concentrated plasma, a technology that Zhane himself has devised some years ago, a destructive weapon design that most others would call close to barbaric as the plasma was to overheat in the air, and when in contact with either shield or hull was to burn trough and disintegrate the vessel with it's inhabitant.. The only reason they agreed was that the drones themselves could maintain this weapon cause they powered them, with a multiple solar panels, half a days worth of energy served to maintain the drones in the air for the night and morning the day after. This proved cost effective. And that the drones could, since they had a limited intelligence as most other mechanical members of the enclave, they could provide repairs on themselves. Everything was going as planned.. Nothing could derail Zhane's own plan.. Nothing..
