The current Corsair and Rheinland war is interesting, to say the least. But I've noticed a trend from many factions to try to take sides on this war, even when their RP would not allow it, or would make it extreme difficult to.

I will use as an example, two factions: The AW and NovaPG.

AW:

AW are, well, AW. They are supposed to be mercs, but could be seen more like a semi-oficial house due to their behavior. The AW entering the war without having been called for would be arguable non the less. I mean, RM is almost blood red to AW, and SCRA and TBH are red to the AW. I then ask why the AW should enter the war without having been called to?

The answer to me, is that there is no reason to. AW enemies killing each other should not concern them. Intervening on the RM - TBH war without being called to is nonsense, specially when AW already has trouble with the SA-LSF again. AW forces should be directed against them instead the TBH and company, or instead being used in a all out siege of Crete, as the main corsair fleet would be out to fight against the RM, leaving their homeworld with less protection.

I know that TBH is red to AW, and redder than the RM. But that does not justifies the AW fighting alongside the Rheinlanders.

NPG:

Now, about the NovaPG. What do they have to do on that war?
NovaPG are blood dragons. Their only concern is to overthrow the Kusari government. They don't care about the Rheinlanders, nor other factions outside Kusari, and that is reflected on their vanilla NPC status, where they are neutral to pretty much everybody outside Kusari space.

NovaPG could be related to the other side of Sirius, where the Bretonians are. Could they support the Brets in order to speed up the fall of the Kusari government? The answer here, is a big no too. Because they don't want to see their homelands conquered by Bretonians. They only want to take over Kusari. Having the brets conquering Kusari would be completely against their plans. So, basically, those aligned with blood dragons should care nothing about other factions outside Kusari space.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend is not an excuse here, as the Psicologial profile of the Blood Dragon faction won't allow them to go and attack the RM like that. they are Samurai like warriors, moved by a code of honor that pushes them against the "corrupt" Kusari government, and nothing else.

And that is why i think that those not related to the current TBH-RM skirmish should not poke their noses where they are not being called to.

Sir

what are you on about?

Have you ever been invaded by the TBH/Scra/OPG?

The Nova Power Gen Have!!!!!!!!! in tau 63 on more than one occasion.

They are basing their operations in our area of influence and we wont put up with that.

Now if the Gods of sirius (Admins) intervene then the NovaPG will not be happy, and ask for all forces to be moved back to their homelands.

But if the AW dont want nothing to do with this So be it, we dont need your help.

Failure to secure our borders is not in our creed, dont make this all about you.

This is not an RP thread Tony. Don't use your RP user for it, but your true account.

I am being serious on this one. NovaPG and AW have nothing to do with this, and everybody knows it.

Oh, and another thing.

Why are the TBH basing their ops at Yanagi?

Corsair forces should launch from the closest corsair base, not from a junker depot...

This is Now Part OOC.

Why do corsairs dock in our area of influence?

System Camping?

do we as NovaPG let this happen?

Now as regards talking in OOC.

Our fundamental rule of being NovaPG is we stay in our dumps and always talk in Character,

Only Intoxication and i can Post outside our dumps, Dont make us break our own standards.

Is this only for the "participants"?

Gotta agree with Korrd.

From my "TAZ" hat, you all know that I don't agree to Zoners going to any lynching party, whether invited or not. And this time, the RP definitely doesn't justify it.

I also think the NovaPG are playing fast and loose with their alignment. Kusari Ceasefire ends in a few days, unless LoTeK_ decides to ask for an extension. Get back where you belong, NovaPG.

That said, I'll butt out, and leave it to the sides with "stakes" in the matter.

System camping is:

Where a character or characters F1 in hostile space, such as an TBH F1ing in Tau 63. As I recall, Tau 63 is TWO jumps from Sigma 13.

Our HOME is one jump from Theta and two from the AW home system, so if you were right, we would be system camping in our own system!

And Sigma 13 is not in your area of influence at all, there are no Dragon NPCs in Sigma 13 and Tau 63 isn't linked directly to Sigma 13.

I felt i needed to address those points.

Sorry Tony, but I feel that you are wrong in this instance.

Regardless of ZoIs, the fact remains the Blood Dragons are hostile to the Corsairs.... And the Nova PG likes to hammer Corsairs, and the TBH on many occasions attacked the Nova PG home system. And as for system camping, there is no system camping going on here.

I've said this 1 million times already:

The area of influence of a faction is their home system and, in case, and only in case of a war, the systems DIRECTLY connected to it.

I've had to put that through Dab's head like 10 times now, i don't want to have to do the same with every faction leader around.

In my opinion, the Blood Dragons should be beating the KNF to death with their own arms in the name of the Shogun, not getting involved in Rheinland which really has nothing to do with them.

Now, I can imagine Rheinland criminals getting involved, however. I imagine that the Unioners would side with the Corsairs, whereas the rest wouldn't ally with the RM, but would shoot both sides.

Basically, if they want involved, use a Rheinland-based character. We'd only be too happy to accomodate them as friends or foes.

Also... we have another problem. The Order. Bs| have closer relations with RM than with the Corsairs, in spite of alliances on their rep sheet. I'm guessing they should stay wholly neutral.
