Liberty Carrier - Luis - 05-25-2010 Hello, my audience. I am the ship technician for the Liberty ships that all you officers are flying. My name remains 'secret' - though, i have come up with a new design for the outmost powerful weapon vessel we have - the Liberty "Atlantis" Carrier. *holoview shines upward with the liberty carrier rotating* LOL - a lil RP won't hurt. Anyways, I remembered some of you said that "why the hangars on the side?" - Well, to be honest I myself like it - yet, I cannot force people on what to like. Is for them on what they prefer - yet they have to give a good simple reason for why needed or not. As you can see, the hangar is inside of the ship, instead of outwards. It has the very same features - or should I say design like our current Liberty Dreadnought - which makes it 'narrow' and longer by comparing the design of the new Carrier with the Liberty Dread by 20% - in my opinion. Discuss, my fellow pupils! -Luis Liberty Carrier - frozen - 05-25-2010 [01:03:32] Gurjiv (frozen) Singh: nice model [01:03:33] Gurjiv (frozen) Singh: but [01:03:41] Gurjiv (frozen) Singh: i think you should assymetricalize it. [01:03:58] Gurjiv (frozen) Singh: have the "in" entrance for fighters/bombers on the left side, and a launch tube on the right side. make the bridge "tower" more thicker/prominent for one.also, axe head + liberty emblem embedded ftw- you need that, specially the second part. Liberty Carrier - DartStriker - 05-25-2010 I'm not really picking up a Liberty Vibe from it. Besides the engines. The tandem bridge section looks awkward, I would remove it. The Armor plates on the back look really flimsy, they almost look like their bending under the pressure of their own weight and resting on the engines. Honestly the model is okay, I would bet it's a little poly heavy. But a lot of people differ from my view of how bigs poly counts should go. I think you need to cut back on the extrude tool just a tad. Over doing it just makes it look a little cheesy. Liberty Carrier - tansytansey - 05-25-2010 Looks rather similar to your Order Carrier in design, particularly the engine and nose. General shape is good, but I think all the details need to reflect Libertonian designs more Liberty Carrier - Luis - 05-25-2010 ' Wrote:Looks rather similar to your Order Carrier in design, particularly the engine and nose. General shape is good, but I think all the details need to reflect Libertonian designs more I forgot the Liberty Emblem :( /goes to add it in Also, any tip on how to make it "... Libertonian designs ..."? Liberty Carrier - Dusty Lens - 05-25-2010 If the shape of your ship is the same as the current dread it will be difficult to balance the two in a meaningful way. Embrace Liberty's design ethos but distinguish the dread and the carrier. Liberty Carrier - Luis - 05-25-2010 ' Wrote:If the shape of your ship is the same as the current dread it will be difficult to balance the two in a meaningful way. Is not actually balanced with the same dread. It has more hardpoints than the Dread. 16 of them. I doubt it will be a pain to balance it - i think. EDIT: The model will be edited. Tomorrow around this time you'll see an updated one. Liberty Carrier - kingvaillant - 05-25-2010 The front of the ship is not edged like on the Dread. Somehow, it kills the Liberty feel of the ship. Making the nose longer and sharper as well as making the "wings" longer may help. Liberty Carrier - Korolia - 05-25-2010 Looks like a very bulky ship. It reminds me of... Helicopter carrier maybe? Too much stuffs in front make the design a bit unbalanced. Liberty Carrier - akka1000 - 05-25-2010 It doesnt really look 'Liberty' to me. Its an ok model, but I think theres better options for the carrier. |
