Serious connection issues - PsychoGenetiX - 05-26-2010

Sometimes when I go and try to connect to Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7, it tells me theres a connection problem, but that's usually when the server is full.

At other times, when I try to connect, it goes into the characted menu and I select a character, and it then goes into the loading screen and says after a few seconds "The operation is taking longer than expected".
I then know that today, I won't manage to connect to the server.

My friends tell me that the CONSOLE says "Possible Cheating Detected: -PsychoGenetiX-" and the server won't even show up on the list until I reset my router. After I shut down the router and my IP resets, I retry logging in, but it does the same thing and I have to reset it again.

It's VERY hard to log in like this. Some days I can just try to log in all day with no hope of succeeding at all, and some days it goes smooth.

I've tried re-installing freelancer and the mod while the problem is there but it wont work.

Please help!

What kind of connection do you use ?
I.E. ADSL, Mobile 3G connection, Dial-up modem, etc.

Also, if ADSL, are you running cabled to your router, or via WiFi ?

Can you replicate the problem, if you run cabled to your ADSL router ?

I can't run cabled to the router, I don't have a cable long enough to reach it. It's never been a problem before, the fact that it's far. It's been like that for a year now and Freelancer RP is the only server I had this problem with.

FYI, I am getting this problem now. I am reinstalling FL to see if it fixes it, but I am getting the exact problem that he is getting. It only happened today though, not the length he is talking about.

It does not go away after reinstalling for me, if the connection problem happens the console says I've been detected cheating and the server wont show up on the list until I reboot the router. And then the problem happens again.

Could you please post a screen shot of the kick message.

One other thing, What is the file name of the discovery mod that you have downloaded?

Serious connection issues - PsychoGenetiX - 05-27-2010

Just a regular connection problem messages. The "Please wait, the operation is taking longer than expected, press ESC to cancel" message, followed by the "I'm sorry, but the connection to the server has been lost. This may have happened if the server shut down while you were trying to connect to it..." or something like that.

When my friend, MrDevil is his ID, is playing, and I'm having that problem, he sees the "CONSOLE: Possible Cheating Detected: -PsychoGenetiX-" message in his chat log.

The filename for the mod is "Discovery485.zip.flmod" without the quotes.
