I haven't been playing very much at all lately but recently was trying to go on my trader and was unable to log in due to my account already being in use on the server.
Whaaa????
How is this possible?
I have the account manager. I have no problems logging onto the server with my other accounts, but my main account says I'm already logged in.
I'm wondering whether this is some kind of glitch or someone accidentally generated an account number the same as mine OR someone hacked my account altogether.
This is the first I've tried to log in all day and I haven't logged in for a couple days now.
Can someone figure out if someone is indeed on my account?? If you need a time stamp, I still can't get on as of this moment, so you can use that to see who was on my account.

It is possible, though rare, that someone has the same account as you...
I know I once made a new account and there were ships on it :/

As an update:
I sent A&L guy and Cannon a line. Afterwards I periodically tried logging into the account to see if anything changed. Just a few minutes ago I was able to log in and saw there was an extra character created (I think by the name Neil_Priestman) and luckily nothing else looked changed. My other characters appeared to be there. However, this does mean someone else generated my account number. I'm wondering what can be done about this. Currently, I'm unable to log back in again (seemed he was only logged out momentarily). Hopefully the admins will be able to figure something out.

I have checked the logs. You need to speak with your brother/cousin/roommate/flatmate/dog/exwife/currentwife/etc...

I logged in and I'm talking to him now.:P
But I don't think he's one of those aforementioned people haha.
He lives in London and I live in the state of PA.
I guess the server generated a random account Id that happened to be mine?
If there's no easy way to fix this, I'll let him have the account and I'll just move my characters to another. I think I have the funds to do so.
