[font=Palatino Linotype][color=#CCBB33]Tell me, when was the last time you heard about someone flying straight towards the burning sun of Crete and managed return alive?

Probably never.

But one man, did the impossible and his name was Saladin. The spectacular event started with a small band of Hessians who had managed to break through the defensive lines of Omega-5 and had entered the very heart of the Corsairs, Omicron Gamma. The emergency alarms were put to work as they launched for a full-blown attack. Saladin woke up to the sound of the repetitive screeching noise - drunk, for he had carelessly spent the majority of his time last night at La Tortuga bar. His motor skills were temporarily damaged and would serve as the primary factor of how the events that followed thereafter would unfold.

Despite the fact that Saladin was heavily intoxicated, he had miraculously succeeded in reaching his combat-ready Gladiator and immediately sat course to engage the Hessian foes. But before he even managed to get in weapon-range his attention shifted towards the gigantic red bulb with its demonic rays of light blinding his eyes. He quickly assumed it was an enemy of greater caliber, perhaps some sort of Hessian warship and so he promptly decided to attack the mysterious object. As the distance grew shorter he began noticing that the left-wing of his ship was about to get ripped off. Next thing you know he is seconds away from transforming into mere ashes due to the extreme heat radiated from the glowing sun.

The automatic survival system that was installed on Saladin's Gladiator forced him to eject into space. Fortunately at the very last second, a Corsair combatant spotted this dangerous fool floating close to the vicinity of the red dwarf. If that Corsair hadn't been there to rescue Saladin from inevitable death, he would never been given the chance to re-tell this story.

And from that day onwards, the Corsairs would call him, Saladin the Sunkiller.
