Rheinland Updates! - Virus - 10-11-2007
New Communications Array
First, since this isn't the RP-Section, I would like to say that the Rheinland Military now has a website (payed for and created by myself... they look good enough), and a set of AMAZING forums (compiled by non-other than the new Vice Admiral... DBoy1612). Both are found under the domain name RheinlandMilitary.com.
Main Site includes the new ranking system, how to progress, members, ship list, weapon list, and several other things that are important to know! All things Rheinland Military can be found here. Also includes a link to the forums.

For ease of remembrance, the forums are under the same domain with a subdomain. Everyone is free to look, but only registered members will be able to see certain things (and you have to be approved to see them).

New Ranking System
There is a new ranking system for the Rheinland Military and with each rank there is a new signature. You can use it if you wish, but they are indeed awesome. Thanks to Unselie and Victor for collaborating in this to gift to us. Ranks are in order from lowest to highest. Full details can be found on the main RM site at:

First promotion of the night goes to one my most trusted advisers, next to Krieg of course. He is the one who compiled the Rheinland Message Boards and has been literally begging me to post this, even though I told him ages ago. Its been weeks since I started this undertaking, and he's been helping me when I've needed it.

After being suggested to me by Admiral Hiltraud Kaiser, I looked into this pilot and found him to be of as good quality or better than myself. He fought me to a stale-mate Wrath to Wrath. Congratulations,

After insulting this man to no end I have no choice but to give him a promotion to make up for. No medals, though. (Yes, this is a pity promotion... Sorta.)
[color=#33CC00]Gunther Rall (Razr) is promoted to LIEUTENANT COMMANDER.

For being able to force a Phantom to withdraw from combat and numerous commendations from the Admirals.
[color=#33CC00]Katharina Guntram (Unit-sk855) is promoted to CORPORAL.
Being that Lieutenant is a higher rank, keep in mind that old Lt=Lance Corporal from the new system.

Lastly, all other members of the Rheinland Military are now Lance Corporals (except for the newer guys). I have to test a number of you, then you may be eligible for a promotion (may not be a big one).

Terrible planning, and a little luck to make myself look good.
Finished my site about 15 minutes before the post and yeah, it took me about three weeks (as a guess...) to get it finished completely. Only way to tell is to check the last time I modified the template, which I can do. DBoy's known for about 2 and a half weeks, I would think. Maybe more. *shrug*

Well, for all the RM members who are wondering... Yes, I shut down the RM forums. And they won't come back up...
I was updating the PHPBB version only to find out that it has a bug in the latest version. It won't enable the cookie to save my password in to the Admin CP so I can't re enable them. And if my admin account won't work, the others won't either. So, for now... Consider them down until I find the bug in the PHP script...
