In the bounty hunter system sigma - 13 i can't get the destroyer to undock i have tried everything . It seems ships have a better time undocking from shipyards due to the smaller docking area. The base at sigma - 13 seems to have a big docking platform hindering ships from exiting if they are medium size ships. No problem with the battleship though. Asteroids are understandable and hard to undock from. I think asteroids should not have ships unless the docking port is small like in liberty. Both shipyards feature small docking ports. The idea of a mooring docking idea for planets is genius. I really enjoy this mod and it by far the best. The ship like the bounty hunter destroyer and the outcast battleship are really well made. The capital encounters are cool to. Seems reallt well balanced in terms of shield and the damage enemies can do to you. Example: I had a order osiris dreadnaught and 2 battleships and 2 gunboats from the nomads really hurt me. I almost died which is cool cause it is realistic. Very good addon igss :yahoo:

I know about this problem... up until recently I owned a Destroyer myself, and had to undock from the BH Base a lot... what you have to do - slow your engines down to about 5-10 and then start shifting your ship either upwards or downwards (depending on how your stuck) and then accelarate. If you really get stuck, then just ask an Admin to move your ship for you to a nearby base or system.

As time progresses these bugs will find their way out of the mod... me thinks...

so basicly you want a mooring fixture on Bases that are too small to handle big ships, thats a great idea

They do that on planets anyway. And on the few bases that do get used, they learn the quick dock sweet-spot.

A mooring fixture on those few bases with issues would be fine. Anyway, these bases aren't really used for trading.

Depends on what sort of trade routes your accustomed to...;)

But, the main thing here is to undock from a mooring fixture. It's a nice idea, but how practical is it... and, even more importantly, how much work will it be for the modders...

The Space Station in sigma - 15 is too big really and should be made into a shipyard decreasing the size of the docking system and if that is not a possibility a docking mooring. I noticed the ship gets stuck on the edges of the other docking ports inside the station . The sides of the ship are a bit wide at the hips. Invisible docking going out would help both in sp and mp modes. Go through the station instead of bumping into it. Sorry I said sigma 13 i was a lab rat after all.
